Sara Hillery Interior Design

If you are considering working with Sara Hillery on your design project, you should do it. No question. We did the family room, kitchen and my daughter’s room. Sara oversaw all subcontractors, and served as project manager flawlessly. Her agents were there when expected, and did the job right.

Of course, you hire a designer for her taste. Sara excels, always updated and appropriate. I felt comfortable with Sara’s expertise from the very first meeting throughout completion of the project. She will not let you go wrong. Sara never made light of my concerns. Any problems were addressed and corrected promptly.

Sara Hillery is a pleasure to work with and an incredible professional! It was my first time to hire an interior designer. I was concerned about costs, accessibility to the designer, communication style, and time involved. I was extremely pleased with these areas of Sara's practice.

Costs - I fully understood the costs on all item and services prior to my approval. Sara was very respectful of my budget and her estimates and billing were easy to understand. Any time I had a question, she was immediately available to discuss it and addressed concerns head on.

Accessibility - Sara was always timely in returning all of my (many) calls, texts, and emails. I very much felt that we were collaborating on a project we both were excited about.

Communication Style - Sara is an honest, direct professional with a soft style to her personality. She is one of the best listeners I've ever had the pleasure to work with.

Time Involved - Sara presented ideas in a very effective manner. I could review the options at my convenience. Any time I needed a deadline to be reached, she worked with vendors to try to honor my requests. She has incredible relationships with vendors and workers - which was a huge benefit to me.

Sara and I worked together on a total house renovation. From the very beginning Sara made suggestions and recommendations that truly improved the functionality and design of our new space. She also walked us through picking out all the elements for our new kitchen and bath such as flooring, cabinets, appliances, wall colors and furniture. She has an amazing eye for color and truly understands how things will naturally go together. Sara is also very aware of budgets and works within those constraints. I worked with Sara for several years at a design firm in Houston. When she went out on her own, I hired her to redesign several rooms in my home. Sara's creativity is amazing. She changed a backsplash, hood and lighting fixtures in my kitchen and bar area, giving the kitchen a totally new look. She transformed our family room from a dowdy, grandma style room into a light filled, peaceful, beautiful and soothing space that we all love. Sara not only added new paint colors, furniture, fabrics, and accessories but also designed two unique tables that added the perfect touch to the room.

Sara is a true professional and very talented. She works hard to utilize what you already own where possible, and suggests additions that will make a difference in pulling everything together in a beautiful and classy way. Her taste is exquisite and yet she enters into your personal style so that the end result reflects you!
