Sapori is our favorite restaurant and one that still seems to be the Best Kept Secret in Lexington! There is no other place like it, at least not anywhere nearby. Enjoy the gardens, back covered patio, gorgeous dining room and bar. You will be transported to Europe. The food, well, we go for all the courses, from appetizer to dessert, with wine pairings and espresso. Every bite, from the bread on, is as delicious as it looks (and it’s Insta-pic-worthy). If you have good taste, this is designed for you. Sapori is upscale; however, it has an inclusive, family feel, not intimidating. Go hungry, for a date, a business lunch or a family/group celebration. You can dress up, but it is not required. The owners, chef & staff are down-to-earth, friendly. Sapori is in a beautiful space and the food is authentic and delicious. A great addition the the Lexington food scene. **update** its changed a bit. ..interior is still welcoming and unique..but I think it may be under new ownership? We miss the jovial woman who is from I believe South Africa. I'm not sure if it's the new owner or just the head chef? But there is a man I don't recognize from prior dining.. he's interested in feedback and friendly, but the backwards hat, tats and casual clothes kind of take away from the upscale feeling and make it feel like just another Lexington joint. The last time we were there he was talking to a couple at the bar and putting eye drops in right over the counter . For the price we'd appreciate a more professional presentation. More...

This is definitely​ a good addition​ to Lexington.  The restaurant is very nicely decorated, and the service was divine​.   We had a large party for my sister and her husbands birthday .  We made a reservation (even with a small party​ I would recommend​ getting a reservation) and were seated promptly. We ordered the prosciutto​ app and the calamari app.  Both were great, though the prosciutto was a little pricy.  I did love the honeycomb​ w/ the prosciutto.    Calamari was perfectly cooked.  Crispy but not chewy.I had the squid ink pasta with seafood.  It was good, but the sauce was a little thin and could have been seasoned a little more.  A few pieces​ of seafood were a little overcooked​, but all in all,​ it was a good dish.  My wife had the Carbonara​ which was amazing.  Very rich as a carbonara​ a should be.  The Scallops were good, but you could have put a flip flop on that pasta and it would have been good.The wine​ was good. Ive heard amazing things about Sapori, so I gave them a try. Reservations are highly recommended, I dined with them a Friday night at approx. 6pm, they had a few people at bar, but not over crowded. Parking is in the back, jus follow the signs. The restaurant looks like it used to be a old house converted, the yard/ gardens were in bloom, everything was well taken care of, the inside was beautifully decorated in Italian décor. I really liked the setting and atmosphere, nice place for a special occasion. We were seated promptly and our waitress was professional. The menu was not to much, jus right, pricing was on the high side of course. Our food came out in a timely manner. Food presentation was nice, we really enjoyed the meal. The serving amt wasn't plentiful for the price, my spouse was still hungry when we left, our bill was over $100 for dinner, 1 appetizer and 1 glass of wine. I will agree the food is incredible tasting, great ambience, jus not a place I would go frequently, maybe a special occasion.Try them at least once & let me know whatcha think! More...

So we had dinner reservations this Friday night and this very nice restaurant. We've been wanting to try this restaurant because it had good yelp reviews and it was recommended to us by our friends. The front entrance is for drop off only and they have a parking lot in the back. It appears that the restaurant was a old house at one time...and than maybe remodel later on into a open floor plan.They can accommodate small and large groups. They have a bar inside but our waitress informed us that they didn't have a liquor license. So I assume that they only offer wine and beer only. So we decided to have the 1- raviolo as our appetizer, 1-bud light, 1- Uva Pinot Grigio (wine), 1-spaghetti allo scoglio, and 1-crab risotto. All the food was seasoned very well and both my spouse and I enjoyed everything. Our waitress was very courtesy and professional. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained.My overall impression was not as pleasant as I had hoped for...because I felt like they seemed  overpriced. I say that because the portions of servings compared to the listed price....I was very unsatisfied after spending approximately $100 for 2 people for dinner. And considering that I was hungry about 2 hours later...I'm pretty sure that we wouldn't return for another visit. More...

I ordered the scallops and shrimp over risotto. Delish! The scallops were prepared perfectly. The shrimp were seasoned nicely. I could go on and on about this place.  We've been there 3 times now and each time it gets even better.  The food is incredible, the ambiance is great, and the staff is friendly.  I've had several different dishes there and all are exquisite.  The lamb chops are my favorite, but you can't go wrong with anything.  Some of the complaints are exactly what I'd expect from people who don't appreciate a fine dining experience like this and should probably just stick to Caraba's or Olive Garden.  Sapori is a true gem.  I've had this level of authentic Italian one other time in my life and that's when I was in Italy. Ya'll.  Seriously.  This is the best Lexington restaurant!  It is a little pricey, but worth EVERY PENNY!!! I cannot say enough how good the food is.  I followed Karen from another shop she worked in becuase I loved her food.  She has not disappointed me ever! We have tried octopus, gnocci, and loads of other new things and they are all so so so so so good. The decor is beautiful too.  The owner definately has an eye for making things look gorgeous.  I would HIGHLY recommend this place! More...

Very intimate setting with top notch service. Starters were flash fried oysters and the Bruschette, both excellent. Main courses of herb crusted lamb and crab risotto were splendid and perfectly parlayed balance of texture and flavor. The wine list is commendable yet not intimidating and the staff is eager to offer recommendations. Chef (sorry, his name escapes me) stopped by the table to check on things and was very engaging. A top notch experience. One note- some have referenced to the parking as a bit of an obstacle - is it Wal Mart with 7 acres directly in front....no...but for those that would have you believe it rivals the moon landing probably feel walking to their mailbox to check the mail is an encumbrance on the level of a hot air balloon crash It's not a big deal. Upscale comfortably decorated with an open design. Table cloths, curtains, and all of the furnishings make it a comfortable environment in which to enjoy the delicious, well presented meals and wines. The service is very good, our server was very knowledgeable about the food, and there was what I'd I'd characterize as a wine steward, not sure this is an accurate term, who really knows the wine. This is the best place for fine dining in Lexington (and better than 90% of "fine dining" in Columbia). After you have been more than once, you are truly treated not just like family, but like disguinished guests. The lighting was a little bright but the decor is fabulous. On my second visit, they had remembered my wine preferences and were eager to share some glasses that were not on the regular menu. Our meals, boar ragu with truffle ravioli and braised beef with polenta were melt in your mouth delicious and had an excellent presentation. We also savored the cheese board appetizer with an amazing fig/sweet onion jelly and assorted olives and never felt rushed.  They topped off the meal with the most amazing Italian Port I've ever had at the bar followed by a nice conversation.
