To say Mira is amazing would be an understatement. Mira is not your average photographer. She is bright, has an incredible eye & editing style, and a rarely found make it work mentality that puts her a cut above the rest. She makes even the shyest most awkward feeling person comfortable in front of the camera. My company hired Mira to do our corporate headshots. The photo shoot was a seemingly impossible task - shooting 65 people over 3 days, outdoors and in between torrential downpours and hail. Mira approached the shoot tirelessly and rolled with the punches, as we had to change locations several times due to rain and other unforeseen obstacles. She brings finishing powder, color checkers, and makes sure you take all your angles to get the best shot. Not only did Mira accomplish the task for us, working 8 hour days, but she made everyone look amazing! She's now our corporate photographer for company events as well - don't get me started on her candids - they're fabulous and always capture a person's personality. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
A great photograph needs positive energy from the subject, an aesthetically pleasing background and great lighting. The camera does pick up everything, so coming to a shoot looking your best helps.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is the ultimate goal of this project? Who will be the audience? Can you send me an example or two of a company's images (or headshots) that you like?
What do you love most about your job?
We love working with people who love their jobs! It is so fun to step into someone's office and watch them getting so excited while explaining their work. We've done photo shoots with all kinds of professionals- medical professionals, scientists, educators, realtors, and tech executives. It's amazing to see the work that people do in Silicon Valley.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The spirit of entrepreneurship is strong in the Valley. We thought, why not? We like people, we love the work being done in the Valley. Why not match a creative passion of ours with a business need?
