This is the best value in Montauk that I have found. $7.95 for a delicious fried flounder sandwich With 2 fresh-breaded flounder fillets. Are you kidding me?Restaurants around here will charge you over 25 bucks for less. I regret that I never tried Sammy's prior to my recent visit. My visit was on a slow Tuesday late evening and we did not order very many items from the menu. What we did order was very good. The seafood stuffed mushrooms, the lobster bisque, a dozen raw clams and a side of sweet potato fries. All items were excellent. The portions are ample and the prices reasonable. I look forward to coming back to Sammy's again. It certainly has the charm of an unpretentious seafood centered family restaurant. Went there with my family and two grandchildren the other night. Plenty of outdoor seating but it was so hot we decided to sit inside in the AC. Everything was super delicious as usual would totally recommend the oyster appetizer and the lazy man lobster which comes with plenty Of lobster meat. Went once to the actual restaurant and another afternoon to the Sammy's To-Go stand along the beach. Restaurant was good- I got fish tacos and my husband got the shrimp po boy. While my tacos were good, his po boy was amazing. A few days later we went to the to-go stand and I got a lobster roll and my husband got a pulled pork sandwich. OMG I believe this was the best lobster roll I've ever had in my life (and I've had a few!). My husband said his pulled pork was great too but I was too involved with my lobster roll to bother trying his meal. Definitely check out the to-go stand and eat your lunch along the beach. More...

We came to Montauk with two things in mind. I came with a pocket full of cash to look for good food and a party boat. We went to Anthony's for breakfast, had dinner at Inlets restaurant, over rated and Harvest on Fort Pond also over rated. We tried Sammy's when we went fishing on the Viking Fleet party boats. That's when we knew we found a good Montauk restaurant. The following day on Sunday, we decided to google Montauk Sunday Spots. We went to Montauk Brewery then walk to the Surf Lodge bad. Once we arrived to the Surf Lodge we took an Uber to The Grey Lady. It doesn't open till 5 so we decided to revisit Sammy's nearby. Once there we ordered the poke bowl, lobster salad tacos, fried oysters with chipotle sauce and lobster mac all at moderate prices. This is the unofficial place to eat. Give it a shot for great food! Sammy's recently hosted my grandma's celebration of life gathering. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. Came for dinner the other day -- can always count on Sammy's for a wonderful meal. The shrimp tacos were incredible, some of the best I've had in a while. On April 27th Sammy's set up a great wedding reception dinner for a party of 20 in their back room along with table decorations for my daughters wedding.  All was done by phone as we are 5 hours away and was our first time there. Was a bit busy in the morning with only one very nice lady working. She was serving and hosting at the same time and did an excellent job. Got New England clam chowder and their lobster burger. Drove out to Montauk for an overnight trip and googled a place to eat when we got here. We were starving and Sammy's lobster roll photo looked delicious, so we headed here. Great choice! Food was delicious! The lobster roll was packet with lobster, and flavor! And even better than it looked in the photo! Almost 3 bucks to "upgrade" my fries to sweet potato fries, but totally worth it- they were some of the best I've had. My boyfriend ordered the clam strip sandwich- I've never seen a fried clam sandwich this big! My only qualm was the waitress who was completely miserable--it was a beautiful Football Sunday afternoon, she was the ONLY employee working besides the kitchen staff (not that they were busy, but..), and she had an injured foot in a boot--so I get it, but, such is life. Legitimately the best lobster Roll I've ever had. Super simple toasted and buttered bun that was PACKED with good fresh lobster in every bite. Soooo much better than lobster roll in amagansett on old montauk hwy.  the fresh cut fries that came with it were amazing(just needed a little salt and pepper). My favorite restaurant in Montauk. Sammy has the best Bisque & Lobster Roll in town. You can get the lobster roll hot (chunks of lobster already peeled out for you) on a toasty bun, and to my delight, it came with drawn butter on the side, fries and coleslaw. I chose to eat it off the bun, and leave the bread for last. They have amazing stuffed mushrooms, and burgers, tacos, etc. for non seafood lovers. You can eat indoors with air conditioning, or outside on the patio overlooking the fishing boats. Great place, and I can't wait to come back next summer! More...

WE LOVE SAMMYS!!! My family has been coming to Montauk for generations and this is our all time favorite restaurant in the area - delicious food, reasonably priced, friendly staff and owner, and cool location. We just had our wedding in Montauk and we used Sammys to host both the rehearsal dinner and goodbye brunch. He then made wraps to take back to the house since we were having people over after the brunch. Sam is so honest and easy to work with and his food is to die for!!!! More...
