I have had a long relationship with the Samadhi Legacy foundation. I'v been coming to the establishment for over 2 years.

The thing that makes this organization standout is the opportunities the pups have to enjoy running around in large yards. The property sits on 3 acres of land that is divided up in to 8 play areas. The kennels are scrubbed and cleaned daily and every time a new pup comes in or out.

There is plenty of air during the Las Vegas heat and the staff is mindful of what heat can do to an animal so play time is limited outside, but there is a cuddle room for that one on one attention. Winters are the same, plenty of heat and exposure to the elements are mitigated. Don’t forget about the cuddle room!!!

I have seen some animals come in that have been abandoned and neglected – All of these pups have been cared for, recovered and most have gone to their forever home. As new ones come in, I have seen them transform as well.

The staff does home checks to make sure the pups have all the right opportunities to acclimate to a new happy home.

This foundation is always looking for animal lovers that are interested in volunteering or lending a hand – as we know all too well these pups deserve to be loved.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this rescue! I’ve adopted 3 dogs through them, one for myself and two for my best friend, and you will have a hard time finding a rescue that cares more for their pups than this one! Their process assures each animal goes to the right home. I’d say I would use them again but I think that’s fairly obvious after adopting three dogs More...

I adopted my two pit bull mixes from Samadhi. I was impressed how Samadhi goes out of their way to rescue the dogs that may not make it in shelters – the misunderstood bully breeds, or dogs with health and/or behavior issues. Both of my dogs were on the euthanize (kill) list before Samadhi stepped in to save their lives. The adoption process was thorough. They screened me to make sure that I was the right person for the dogs. The adoption fee was very fair, as they were spayed and neutered, up to date with shots, and micro chipped. I could never be more happy with my pups, Sapphire and Patches. More...

I was heart broken when the Animal Foundation told me I couldn't rescue the dog I wanted because she had a skin condition and they weren't adopting her to anybody because of it. I reached out to The Samadhi Legacy Foundation to inquire about their rescue dogs. Kathy Benson's response said that she was sure one of her existing rescued dogs would be great for me but had I met the two dogs she included pictures of while I was at the Animal Foundation. The dog I wanted and was told I couldn't have was pictured and had been put on the kill list!Kathy was out of the country at the time and she set Erica in motion to save my dog. Her name is Pickle and I will be forever grateful to The Samadhi Legacy Foundation for saving her for me. I have since watched The Samadhi Legacy Foundation save and care for many dogs in any way possible. They are an amazing rescue and are worthy of any support they receive. More...

We love Samadhi Legacy. We worked with both Kathy and Erica to foster and eventually adopt our boy Tanky. They truly love and care about each of their dogs. They were so accommodating with us living all the way across town. I wish we could have another dog, and if we could we would be rescuing from them again. More...

I just adopted a wonderful big boy named Brody, also known as "Belly Rub Brody." I so appreciate Kathy Benson and Erica Derring for their help with the adoption process, and for their very caring and generous aid. They made this adoption go smoothly, and I can't thank them enough :) More...

I have fostered quite a few dogs for Samadhi Legacy Foundation. I am also a foster fail. They take really great care of their dogs and they make sure they are vetted and dog and cat tested for homes. I honestly think they are one of the best adoption/rescues in Las Vegas. And I have volunteered with many. More...

Very knowledgeable about breed and extremely committed to the welfare of the animals in their charge. They go above and beyond to help and rehabilitate pups through seniors, that have been through everything from abandonment to abuse, etc. FYI, their listed address is a P.O. Box, so you can't just show up there. Their adoption fees are reasonable, considering all they pay for upfront; shots, spay/neuter, microchip, and vetting from one of the top vets in town. More...

Incredible rescue! Kathy was very responsive and supportive with explaining the process of adopting a rescue dog. We rescued an amazing 5 year old pittie who has made our lives better in every way. “Rescued” is the best breed!

Love Samadhi! My wife and I adopted our rescue pitbull a few years ago and had a wonderful experience. The owner, Kathy, made it an easy process and continues to check in and support us. If you live in or near Las Vegas, these guys have some amazing dogs in need of homes! More...

The main thing I look for in a rescue is integrity- and the people at Samadhi have that and so much more. They have many years saving dogs and they take great care to make sure they are preparing the dogs for foster and adoption. Don't Shop, Adopt! Erika, Kathy and all the other people at Samadhi that have worked for years saving dogs should be sainted- they are beautiful people doing a beautiful thing. More...

This rescue is the reason why hundreds of perfect, sweet and innocent dogs are still alive. I am currently fostering a handsome older dog through them and they've been a dream to work with. They are very quick to reply to any and all texts or emails, they let me bring him to boarding when I have to leave town for work and pay for his bill and cover all of his needs. If you can't adopt, check out fostering, it's a great opportunity to help and volunteer while enriching the life of a dog who's had a rough life because of bad people. Your soul will thank you More...
