This restaurant is a great change-of-pace when looking for A Touch of Elegance. The food is absolutely wonderful, it's pretty pricey though. The restaurant atmosphere is classy and soothing. Unfortunately, there is a however. I was at this restaurant attending a seminar, in which there were a lot of people. The service was not up to a standard deserving of such a fine restaurant. One of the tables was being very difficult on the servers and unfortunately the frustration was transferred to our table. Our female server was rude and uncooperative in accommodating our request. It was a simple request for tea refills and desert choice for a couple at our table. The female server actually had an unpleasant remark for me which surprised me. A couple at our table responded to her crass remark. I know what stress is like having been a server in my younger days, but there's never an excuse for rudeness on behalf of an employee. It will destroy the reputation of a restaurant faster than bad food. I will try this restaurant again, just to make sure this was a temporary outburst and not a normal way of life for this restaurant. This is such an amazing restaurant. It reminds me of a better version of Olive Garden but much fancier. The food was well presented, prices were reasonable, and it all tasted very delicious. The portions were large and definitely equivalent to the amount spent. This is definitely a good fine and a place to check out when in the area. The service was also fast. The food at my wedding was absolutely delicious. Sam and Rosco’s really know what they’re doing in the kitchen. Before the wedding, so many people kept giving me the advice, don’t forget to eat due to excitement and nerves. Well, after the first bite (no the first whiff of the delicious food), I don’t think it could have been possible to forget to eat anything. If anything I should have remembered I was the bride and everyone would be watching me as I scarfed down my plate (and some of my hubby’s plate) of food. Sam and Rosco's catered our wedding on April 1 of this year. Rosco was the first caterer we set up a meeting with, and during that meeting, we knew we had already found the perfect choice.
Roso was kind, generous, and incredibly helpful by making sure our every need was met. He wanted to make our wedding day/night easier for us, and he did exactly that. We never had a single question or request that he couldn't help us with. Most importantly— the food was absolutely delicious. All of our guests were telling us how great it was, and his team got everyone through the buffet line quickly and efficiently.
We've visited the restaurant a couple of times to eat (including for our rehearsal dinner), and had great experiences each time. We'll definitely be back to dine in again soon!

I am SO happy that we chose Sam and Rosco's for our wedding rehearsal dinner and reception caterer! The food was amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. Rosco always responded quickly to emails throughout the planning process and he was genuine and passionate about his restaurant and services. He worked within our budget and did not add any extra fees as some other companies tend to do. They went above and beyond by ordering us new linens and napkins as they did not have the colors we needed. The team was on time, professional and provided top notch service. Celebrated my parent's 59th wedding anniversary with them, my wife, my sister and her husband and niece and nephew.
We were feted in high fashion, and even though restaurant was well attended, our party never felt neglected or a nuisance.
Excellent service, attention to detail and delectable dishes. My nephew felt it was the best calamari ever! We will definitely be back, and cannot say enough nice things about the entire experience. It is rare to feel valued as a customer in this day and age.

My husband and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary with dinner at Sam and Rosco's last night. We planned on going to Atlanta, but living in Newnan, Douglasville was a much closer option for a Friday night. I am so glad we decided to eat here! It is truly a hidden gem and I wish we would have known about this place sooner. Everything was excellent! From the moment you step in you are immersed in the ambience of dim lighting, white tablecloths, and the smells of authentic Italian dining. The service is unmatched! Seriously every single person you come across is super friendly. The hostess greeted us with "Happy Anniversary" the moment we walked in, they had taken the time to write that little note down next to our reservation. They have a great wine list and dinner was fabulous. I had the shrimp tortellini in the white wine sauce and my husband had the stuffed shrimp. You really feel like you are dining somewhere in the city. I am so glad we didn't make the drive to Atlanta and we will definitely be eating at Sam and Rosco's again in the future! More...

I always insist that my family bring me here when l visit the Atlanta area. My daughter is fortunate to live in the area and can enjoy occasionally! I always get the chicken picatta which is good. The garlic rolls needs a vast improvement. They are too hard and as much as I drag it thru the garlic and oil.

We hosted a 50th Anniversary party for about 50 people at Sam & Rosco's in Douglasville in March. From the very beginning of working with them, it was such a pleasure. Sam worked with me on the menu, coordinated with vendors, and had ample staff the night of the event. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. We chose Sam & Rosco's to be our caterer for our wedding after doing our tasting with Rosco at his restaurant and realizing not only was the food fantastic, but he was also genuinely nice and accommodating (we had a couple vegan guests and one gluten-intolerant guest). He was very easy to contact throughout the planning process as well. We have gotten so many raving reviews about our food at the wedding (specifically the tortellini in white sauce , the chicken, the sauteed veggies, and the rice pilaf).
