Salty Dog Walking

If I could give 10 stars, I would! I moved to the South Bay 2.5 years ago and was so lucky to find THE BEST dog walker(s) at Salty Dog. Melissa has been our main dog walker. To say she is fantastic is an understatement! She treats our dogs like family and if we ever need additional walks (nights or weekends), she is very accommodating, and if she can't, she makes sure a member of her team can help us (Brook & Janice are wonderful!) They all leave a note after each walk so we know how the walk went and which dog "did their business." We added a senior dachshund (14 y.o.) to our pack a few months ago. He has arthritis so he couldn't keep up on the hour-long walks. He needed to be carried on stairs and I got him a stroller. Melissa didn't blink an eye and handled him (and the stroller!) beautifully! When I was training him to stop barking at pedestrians, she reinforced our training on walks. When one of my dogs got a UTI when I was out of town, she brought him to our vet for me. Melissa is incredible. I am so grateful for the combination of professionalism and personal feel of Salty Dog. In addition to just being reliably awesome when taking my dog for daily walks, I have a couple of emergencies happen over the past year and Melissa had bailed me out, going above and beyond. I can't believe no one has taken time to write about Kelly and the wonderful folks at Salty Dog. They are SIMPLY THE BEST! Being new to town and not having a dog walker yet, I found out about Salty Dog through a friend at work. Kelly is fantastic and was wonderful with my dog Fini. She picked her up and dropped her off and I can say with total confidence that she is very trustworthy and accommodating. My dog is a little persnicketty about where she boards and who she spends time with, and she did great with Kelly when I had to go out of town. If you're looking for dog walkers with lots of love for animals, lots of attention to give to your animal, and just an all-around good person, go straight to Salty Dog, and don't worry about passing "Go" and collecting $200.00 from the Monopoly board! Just gotta say, wow!! Melissa and Janice are the best dog walkers around. They spent so much time with us for our free consultation for our miniature schnauzer, and basically changed our dog's behavior (leash anxiety - barking at other dogs on leashes) after that day!
