Q&As

I get to see people create change and make their lives better.

I have worked for other people my entire career. It was time for me to take the leap! I am so excited to see what is happening.

I believe that I bring a different perspective to therapy along. I am genuine and trauma-informed.

At this time I only offer services via teletherapy or phone call.

Due to the pandemic, I offer decreased rates and teletherapy.

The C.A.T.I.E (CHILDREN/ADOLESCENCE TREATMENT IN EVIDENCE-BASED PSYCHOTHERAPIES) Family Program is a multi-disorder treatment in evidence-based treatments, adapted to clients’ needs, taught by a leader in the field, with ongoing coaching, using evidence-based teaching techniques and user-friendly materials.
1. Multi-disorder. Evidence-based. Children almost always present with a combination of problems. The CATIE Family Program provides a state of the art treatment program in evidence-based interventions for children with some combination of disruptive behaviors, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Treatment for a given problem is always integrated with treatment for other problems. Procedures and therapeutic techniques are applied consistently across problem areas. While I have found that multi-disorder treatment is usually more useful and less costly than single disorder treatment, there are cases when the latter is preferable. For such cases, this treatment is also well suited.
2. Customized. Before any treatment can occur, I conduct a needs assessment. Treatment is then tailored to the unique skill levels, capacities, and criteria of my clients. For example, clients with basic CBT knowledge can skip to more advanced treatment. Subject areas can be dropped or added, topics emphasized or not. Treatment can be tailored in this way because I possess the necessary sophistication and expertise. I do not use the highly prescriptive, packaged approach common to most treatment.
3. Integrated training materials. Treatment manuals have been designed based on the C.A.T.I.E. treatment program, specifically for my client’s. Each manual uses similar graphics, a common glossary of terms, the same general outline for therapy sessions. and extensive cross-referencing. Easy to understand handouts for client and family are integrated into the therapy sessions.
