We recently turned to Salt Creek Grille as a destination for my mom's 70th birthday party, because we knew it has a private dining room. Well, this party was top-notch from start to finish. Katie Clark, the Private Dining Manager was very helpful in guiding us through the planning process, offering advice on the most popular dishes to order and allowing us to make amendments to the menu. Sara, an assistant manager, was outstanding in helping set up the room the way we wanted, including the projector for a special slide show. And Karla, our server for the night went above and beyond to ensure everyone was very well taken care of. The food was absolutely outstanding, and many guests commented on how truly special the entire evening was. What an intimate and satisfying dining experience of ours. Though it was only our first time with my wife here and at the same time, first time writing a review, there was nothing to complain about this restaurant because everything falls into perfection. This spot has plenty of seating, with a separate bar area, and a nice outdoor patio area. It was also tidy and had a nice ambiance for the entire place. Came here on Sunday with my BF in the early evening before the dinner rush. It did take a couple minutes to be seated because the host had priorities but it's understandable. But, the server was very professional and attentive throughout.We ordered Iron Skillet Cornbread to start off as an appetizer. It was served in a small rectangle iron skillet with honey butter on the side. Very crusty on top but moist inside. Honestly, I had better cornbread elsewhere. It has no flavor. Bits of corn in the bread definitely added a great texture. However, overall, it was rather dull, boring and salty to my taste. It was missing sweetness which I was looking for. I was hoping that Honey butter would fill the missing flavor but it was disappointing. I can smell honey but couldnt taste honey at all; salty but not sweet. Its a small portion good for maybe two persons max.But!! Our entrees were very exquisite! My BF and I both enjoyed the Coffee-Encrusted New York Strip served with creamy Yukon mashed potatoes and arugula. I couldnt really taste coffee which I didnt mind (I dont drink coffee). The sauce which had flavor of Bourbon caramel was a game changer. It went really well with the steak giving a hint of sweetness to a savory steak.Second entree we got was the Halibut, Scallops & Shrimp! Each one of the ingredients was fresh and cooked perfectly. It's really hard to cook seafood because you can overcook them easily without knowing. I really loved the moist fillet of halibut along with soft but chewy scallops. You cant never go wrong with shrimp! The risotto served along with these three were super creamy and flavorful. I would have enjoyed more if the texture of rice were closer to 'al dente'. Personally, it was too soft which real risotto should avoid. My BF also mentioned it was too soft.Other than that, we both enjoyed our dinner very much. I would give 5 stars but the chocolate soufflé was a big let down. The soufflé it self had no flavor and then they added the most bland whipped cream. They take it to the table, make a hole in it, add the chocolate sauce in the hole, then drop a scoop of whipped cream on top. For something that took 30 min to prepare its definitely not worth the wait. The ambiance of this restaurant is so nice and enjoyable. I went here with my family for my birthday this past December. It feels like you are in a log cabin and, being Christmas time, felt even more cozy and cute. Â My dad ordered their ribs whch were smoky and delicious. They fell of the bone so easily. The French fries were good. I loved their ranch, which is important to us as we are ranchoholics! I got their filet mignon which was nice, but for the price, I have honestly had better. My mom chose their beef stroganoff which was, for lack of a better word, "meh." Haha However, the butter bread appetizer we ordered was amazing for just $3. I was disappointed in their margaritas. This restaurant not only has a wonderful variety of tasty dishes, but but what I particularly like about it is that has the cozy feel of a neighborhood place where you can sit, relax and eat in comfort. Came here with the GF for brunch. Amazing! Start to finish. Greeted immediately, seated likewise. Waitress was so kind and attentive. ..anticipated needs, was helpful and funny. Wonderful service. The food, of course, was delish. We enjoyed Ahi Tuna Stack, Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, side bacon & wedge salad. Only complaint ~ Tuna stack not as substantive as many others and not quite worth the $19 price tag (for starter portion). I may have found a new favorite, go-to restaurant. Salt Creek Grille has it all - atmosphere, great food, great service, and a solid drink list. After my latest visit, I told my wife that my meal may have been the best restaurant meal I've ever had, and I wasn't exaggerating. I went with the Slow-Roasted Half Chicken, and the taste of it all had me absolutely blown away. From the herb crusting on the perfectly cooked chicken to the creamy mascarpone polenta, everything was A++. My wife loved everything that she had as well.I can't wait to try the rest of their menu, but I also feel like I'm going to have a difficult time pulling myself away from ordering the chicken again. ~BEST PLACE TO HOLD AN EVENT OF ANY SIZE!~We held 2 events at Salt Creek Grille the day before our wedding: one was a Rehearsal brunch for 20 people in their Mason Library, and the other was a cocktail hour for 50 people in their Monarch Room. Both events were AMAZING! The food is wonderful, and the rooms have elegant decorations. The staff even put out small terrariums with winter foliage in them on the tables as decoration. The whole restaurant is decorated with dark wood, with classic lines and elegant features. There is even a patio with a fire pit, and a large courtyard for bigger events. The members of the waitstaff at both events were attentive, professional, kind, and fun. My guests had an amazing time, and we were so happy to have the events to catch up with friends and family! I would like to make a special shout-out to Helen for helping me through the entire planning process, always responding to my emails and questions, and overall being a wonderful person! This place is amazing !!! We try to get here once a month ... the Coffee Crusted Steak is my families favorite , and we also ask for extra of the Bourbon Carmel sauce . .. insanely good :) and a side of Sautéed Mushrooms  but we start off with the Bacon Goat Cheese Flatbread  and the Ahi Tuna Stack  then we get the Mesquite Grilled Caesar salad  the service is off the charts !!! Excellent Service!!! The entire experience was very memorable for our first trip to LA and first restaurant in LA. Good was excellent! NY Strip with the bleu cheese was like butter and the lump crab meat and shrimp stuffed salmon was just as good. Eager to return to LA and back to Salt Creek Grille! I hadn't been here for months and was craving the baby back ribs. Â I called in my order and got two orders, one with the Asiago fries that come with it and I substituted the Yukon gold mashed potatoes on the other order. Â I also ordered a side of creamed spinach.Lucky I checked my order in the car because the fries were missing. Â I went back inside and told them. Â To make up for it, they gave me two orders of the fries which was a nice gesture since I had to come back in and wait for it to be prepared.All in all, the meal turned out well. I came here for an office lunch a few days ago. I don't know the area well, but it wasn't too difficult to find. Really happy to see that SCG had a private lot with several spots reserved for its patrons. We were immediately seated, and our server was such a gem! I wish I got her name, but she was fantastic with checking in on us, taking orders, providing water, etc. I was utmost surprised (pleasantly) at the plethora of vegetarian options at a steakhouse! There was a cauliflower steak, and each of the burgers could be replaced with a veggie patty for no additional charge. I got the cheeseburger with the veggie patty, and it came with fries. It wasn't the best veggie burger I've had, but I was still impressed! They definitely give a lot of food- most of the group took half their food home. Great location with a WholeFoods and HomeGoods in same shopping center. I was worried about parking but there were plenty of spots available and it was well lit and safe. I loved the Butternut Squash Soup and the Grilled Romaine Salad was a nice light dinner. The server and hostess were both super friendly and the ambiance has a sturdy vibe without being pretentious. We are scheduled to have our wedding reception here in their outdoor patio area (bottomless mimosas and brunch buffet for a great price), but this review is about a single dining experience. We came for a family brunch. Friendly service and casual atmosphere, but you could also dress up and not stand out. They sat the 6 of us in a booth. I'd argue the booth was too crammed, so if you have a party of that size, I'd ask for a table as opposed to a booth.I went with their creek burger, which comes with seasoned shoestring fries. The bacon and caramelized onions were the best part! I was stuffed and didn't even finish the fries. I also got to try their stumptini, which is a cold coffee based liquor drink. Super good!
