Thread is spotless and adorable. The staff is incredibly nice and knows their stuff. Until my visit to Thread, I have only found one person that can thread my incredibly blonde and finicky eyebrows to perfection, and they are in Boston (which is a hike, considering I now live in Providence)- I decided to give Thread a try, and I am so happy I did. I've been going to Thread for years, I have had some days where some of the staff have done a better job than others. But for the last 6 months or so I have been seeing Ijjat at the Weybosset location. She is so good! I have had no complaints, she is polite, works fast and does an excellent job. I love this place! I had my eyebrows threaded and tinted and i had a gel mani and a pedi done. Ijat was great. She did an amazing job on everything and it was all so relaxing. The salon is extremely clean and welcoming. It's quiet and relaxing, not loud and overwhelming like a lot of salons. I have fairly thick eyebrows, waxing leaves my skin red for DAYS so I decided to try threading. Walking through downtown I came upon this salon. Based on the reviews I thought 'what the heck' and went in. The woman inside was very nice, she asked how I wanted them shaped and I had no idea so I asked to have them thinned out and shape as she felt appropriate. She asked me throughout if I was ok and apologized for any pain. It took at most 10 minutes and she was done. Doing exactly what I asked for! My skin was only red for a short period of time. I did eyebrow threading at Salon Thread Downtown, and it was great! Izzat, the one who threaded my eyebrow, was very considerate and patient with my picky request. I have been a customer of Salon Thread for a little more than a year when they only had the Pawtucket location. Once the owners opened a second location in Providence it has been my second home. The $14.99 monthly membership is a no brainer. You get unlimited threading for $14.99! Can't beat that and the service is friendly, professional and exceptional! My eyebrows are shaped perfectly each time. The salon is clean and well decorated with comfortable waiting areas. UPDATE: The owner, Shally, I saw my review and contacted me within two hours of me posting it. She was very gracious and apologetic and wanted the opportunity to fix the mistake with my lashes. I went back this morning, and I could not be happier with the outcome. These were the lashes that I thought I would have got yesterday. So glad I gave them a second chance! I'm upgrading my review from three stars to five because of the way the situation was handled. Thank you for valuing me as a client.So this review covers a couple of things. I usually go to the Smith Street location. I think I prefer that location although parking is hit or miss. I never have to wait very long and my eyebrows are always perfect! Unfortunately today I tried the temporary eyelashes as well the threading. Threading is always was just what I wanted. However, the eyelashes are absolutely horrible. I went to the hillside location because the girl does lashes wasn't at the Smith Street location. As sweet as she was, her work ended up making me look like a drag queen. I had them on a total of three hours before I ended up ripping them off. Losing my natural eyelashes in the process as well. But I was prepared for that. They were too heavy, had too much glue, are way too thick (I asked for a natural look), and they did not extend all the way from end to end of my lash line. I will continue to go back for threading but never for lashes again. Unfortunately I was warned that if I did not like them, I could not get my money back. I've come here a total of 3 times and really enjoyed it every single time! I was new to threading and even slightly scared to try it out, but since I saw they had a Yelp special I thought why not! And I'm so glad I did! The lady who usually accommodates me is great! I grew out my eyebrows for quite some time before going just so she could shape it properly and it turned out better than I expected! OK this is coming right from the horse's mouth, this place is the best Threading place in RI. I love the ambience of Salon Thread. They always greet me, even if they are busy. They have the best customer service and I always leave the place promising to return back, and I always do. I have been here since they are open. My eyebrows always look amazing. I had never had threading done before, since I had been going to the same lady for eyebrow waxes for 15 years.  But when I moved to Barrington, it seemed like a good opportunity to finally try out threading, namely at Thread, which is both close to my house and affordable.  I was pleasantly surprised with the level of pain (minimal, slightly less painful than waxing, and no sticky residue or red puffiness afterwards!), and it was very affordable.  Plus they offer a monthly membership for $15 that allows unlimited facial threading - that's a pretty awesome deal.  As for my eyebrows, they are nicely shaped and trim, so I'm happy with them.  I'm definitely a convert to threading and will return to Thread. I always pass by on my way home from work, so I decided to try it out today. I love the idea of a 14.99 per month membership! It should save me a lot of money since I frequently have my eyebrows threaded. It was very quiet when I visited, no wait since I was the only one there (I came right when they opened). Very nicely decorated, and calm atmosphere. The lady greeted me when I came in and sat me in the chair right away. She was quick and efficient. My eyebrows are very important to me, so I am very picky, but she did a pretty good job. I look forward to using my membership in the future.
