I don't get my hair done often enough but when I do I'm ok going on the higher end type of salon. At first impression this one wasn't the most luxurious I have tried but pretty standard for what I expect from an Aveda salon. However, I got the best aroma experience thingy from my stylist I have ever received. And my cut was AMAZING! Hands. Down.  The. Best. Better than the downtown Seattle stylist who spent 15 minutes total and charged me $150 because he was all that. Better than the fancy chain that likes to charge cause they have the name but kind of seem like they are no more knowledgeable than the mall chains. I had no expectations about what I wanted except for a few ideas if they worked for my face and just let the stylist run with it. Told her to be creative and she totally delivered. I have half the hair I went in with and no longer look like a crazy hippie. Thank you for the best part of my week! Will definitely be back. Also I don't typically leave reviews but this place deserves a public kudos.... on second thought, I had to wait a few days for my appointment so maybe I should've kept my mouth closed... More...

If you've ever had a negative hair experience I can promise you that this salon and the stylists that work there will restore your faith and keep you coming back. I have found my salon & stylist for life! Kelli has worked with me and my hair ideas for the past year and instead of rushing to what my end goal might be she takes the time to make sure my hair isn't permanently damaged in the process. She is such a sweetheart and you can tell she loves her job. I have loved my hair every time I stepped out of her chair.I've also never had a better salon experience than at Salon Tagua. I went to this salon for the first time this morning .   First of all they give a questionnaire asking what you want to focus on and expectations . Such a simple concept that is so effective! Great idea ! Tory did my hair and I am soo happy with the results . I have very think long hair that is time consuming. She spent a hour and a half with me . A nice scalp massage with wonderful smelling oil. Then while we left conditioner on my hair a arm and hand massage with awesome lotion. Tory was so sweet and easy to be with . Ayla and Derik are two of the most kind, knowledgeable, fun and creative hair professionals I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. In the past, I have always dreaded hair appointments.  Salon Tagua is the first shop I've patronized in 22 years here in the Seattle 'burbs that made me feel consistently comfortable and excited to visit on a regular basis. Ayla's color and cut skills are top of the line. She always spends time with you discussing your goals for each visit, doesn't mind following your lead if you are true to a particular style or routine, and loves to take the reins and create you a new look if you are feeling sassy and in the mood for something new and different! Plus, both Ayla and Derik are highly trained and skilled educators in the beauty industry and love providing their clients with a well-rounded experience that includes excellent advice, teaching & guidance when you need it. Great place to get a new look and solution to any kind of hair conditions. Talented and experienced stylists are here to cater the needs. I'm glad I found this place. Ayla n Derek are the best in this area.!! They are experts in all types of hair cuts, hair color , balayage and Brazilian blowout. I always rely on them for anything related to hair. Moreover they use Aveda products only which is plant based without harsh chemicals so it's gentle and effective at the same time. Kelli is the best!! She transformed a 1.5 year grow out from a very intense bleach & tone into a beautifully blended and toned blonde, perfect for summer (and easy maintenance). There was an issue with the texture of my hair after the color processing because of the state of my hair before she got her hands on it. She got me back in to the salon right away for an all-over protein treatment & to discuss options and care for my type of hair. She has made my hair feel and look absolutely incredible! Kelli does such an amazing job!For many years, I was very skeptical about doing something new with my hair due to bad past experiences from other salons which caused me to be picky, distrustful and indecisive. Kelli and I were in contact for more than 3 month where we talked about my hair goals and what I wanted to achieve. I finally told her that I made up my mind and wanted to go through with her doing my hair!During my first visit, she took nine inches off, colored, and changed the style of my hair.
