I am SO happy I found this salon! The salon I went to previously messed up my hair pretty bad and Salon Space fixed it!! ! They took me in on a last minute appointment and completely transformed my hair! They fixed the color, highlights, and the cut!! This is a spectacular salon. All the hair artists are incredibly skillful, and they are all amazing, wonderful, sweet, kind people. Kate Cronin cuts and colors my hair, and she has done so for the past ten years. My hair is not easy!--and Kate has always found ways to make me look my best, to experiment and collaborate with me while always making me totally comfortable, and to make my haircuts fun. I don't usually review anything but Salon Space Is TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!! I wasn't totally sure I wanted my hair cut when I came in but when I saw how nice and professional everyone was I decided I had to.

Kate (the owner) cut my hair as a teaching tool to one of her employees and she was so AMAZING!!! Her consultation was put informative, and if I didn't understand something she put it into terms I could understand. Kate is so professional and her teaching style is great and everyone learns from her! I even learned from her.

I have been coming to Kate for my hair for years. I walked in today with frazzled, worn out hair in a pony tail that I hated. I walked out with a short, edgy cut and color that I absolutely LOVE. I am one that has never stayed loyal to a hair salon. I have been to many different salons in CT and even brooklyn NY and none of them ever got me to go back to them more than 2 times except for salon space. I’ll be echoing many of the other sentiments regarding Salon Space. I absolutely love this place! And I am *not* an easy client. Let me rephrase that, my *hair* is not an easy client. I have like 10-people’s worth of hair, and when I went in for a change, my hair was neon pink (I wanted to go back to having my roots my natural color, melting into lavender). I’m going to make a long story short – this was not easy – my hair is so tough to work with, but Kate and her whole crew worked SO hard and the results turned out SO great! Everyone at the salon stays busy, too – no one is ever sitting idle. All hands are always on deck and you can tell they all really enjoy working there. I love this place. Kate is so knowledgable about hair and hair products. Karen colored and styled my hair. She is so precise in selecting the color. Normally when someone blow dry my hair, I have to go home and touch it up to make it look the way I want but Karen did it exactly how I wanted it (or better)! I will definitely be a regular. I found Salon Space in 2010 and won't go anywhere else. It's not worth the disappointment. I've had curly-hair cuts with awesome results (and that's atypical as any curly-head knows).

When I wanted straight hair for a change, I moved on to Keratin. I've just had my fourth Keratin treatment and could not be happier. It takes ten minutes in the a.m. to get my hair looking the way I want it.

Straightening is expensive but that's relative to the value of your time. Eliminating two hours/day coddling my hair with thousands of products versus 10 minutes of quick styling -- that's a good trade off.

Amanda is a Keratin pro, she was meticulous in applying the solution, blow drying a LOT of hair followed by straightening all that hair with a flat iron. She takes a lot of pride in your satisfaction and that's true of everyone who works there.

Kate, owner of this relaxing and unique salon, has extraordinary taste, style plus limitless know-how. She's almost scientific in the way she innovates solutions to difficult hair like mine. She's gifted and down-to-earth. And she certainly hires and trains like-minded souls: there's no uppity attitude at this salon, just friendly and caring people.

I recommend this salon to everyone and anyone regardless of your hair type, condition or even your pocketbook. You have many options at Salon Space for most any service.

I've been going to Kate for my haircuts for almost four years now. I have challenging hair, and she has done a phenomenal job every time.
