Joshua Bone (BONEifide) has restored my hair from the BIG CHOP of dead ends, frayed roots & fried curls to bouncy, healthy, full curls with elasticity! He helped educate me on what to do to keep it up in between appointments & was honest. Took a LONG time (years) finding the right fit (beautician) for me & now i can't see myself going anywhere else. The shop is in a nice little area & ive never had any issues parking. The atmosphere inside is very family oriented & peaceful. Theres usually laughter & good conversations had while waiting & in the chair & im always out in a decent amount of time. Ive never seen a customer leave unhappy. Sophie did my eyebrows and basically performed a miracle. I had NO eyebrow hair due to over plucking! She basically had to create something from scratch. I love how they turned out and the time it saves me from having to draw them in everyday! She also did highlights on my hair and those came out beautiful! She's very kind and she will listen and address any concerns that you may have. She's a a true professional and her place of business reflects it. The place is clean and decorated very nice. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I have not had the opportunity to have my nails done there so I don't know about their nail services. I am so grateful that I met Ophelia and Sophie! Ophelia does my hair and I've never been happier! I got the J smoothing treatment and it looks as if I have a perm in my hair but thank God I don't. I wouldn't trade my hair stylist for anyone! I've been coming to her (Sophia) salon ever since I relocated back to California. My hair is healthier, stronger and at its longest length in my adult life. She educates and insures my hair is at its optimal state. I highly recommend her. Checked out this salon in hopes of changing my same old same cut and color and wow! It turned out better than expected. Ophelia was such a joy to have while working on my hair. She came up with great ideas and I just felt like I was in good hands. Trust me, I will be back for sure! I love my cut and color. Went from medium brown long layers that reached mid chest to a short cut which lies above the collar bone and my color is now a deep darker violet color. It is amazing! She did a dry and wet cut and just knew exactly how to work it! Her sister Sophie is super nice and knowledgeable as well. But I'm sure whomever you end up seeing will be great. I loved how my hair turned out. My stylist Aphelia did a partial sew in. She had great Customer service. I felt comfortable the whole time. She did get interrupted with other clients a few times and stopped working on me to do other clients. The process could have been shorter, but it wasn't bad. I've been a client of this salon for over a year... my stylist, Champagne is professional and creative.  My weave is always installed and styled to profection!  The owner, Sophie is wicked with the eyebrows... I received a microblading from her... she made me feel comfortable as she explained in-detail the procedure... I'm completely satisfied with the results. My first interaction with this salon was great. I called them to inquire about services and Ophelia promptly called me back, made an appointment, and now I am a regular. I appreciate the professionalism, knowledge, and creativity that Ophelia has. Her craft is natural and her work speaks for itself. I've followed Julie from Lovely Nails to Salon Philosophie. I've been coming to Julie for 3.5 years twice a month and she never fails me. The best gel mani and pedis  known to woman. She doesn't do acrylic false nails but who cares! My nails are stronger than ever and grow like crazy so no need for falsies and acrylic which is horrible for your nails btw. Come to Julie she's amazing! Love this lady! Also Josh is stupid crazy with a pair of scissors. Josh is my go to for all my cuts. Does amazing on bobs he even styles my wigs. A little over a year ago, I came in to Salon Philosophie. With damaged hair from years of damage due to heat and chemical relaxers, I had zero confidence in my hair ever growing to be healthy again. After calling in and seeing Champagne on a regular basis, my hair is growing stronger, softer, and faster than ever before. Champagne is awesome at being flexible with her clients and really knows her stuff! All I do is just text her at (707)386-4485 and she always figures out how to fit me in at my best convenience. Great atmosphere and great staff; everyone was professional and friendly and for a first visit I was very comfortable there. This salon is a lot closer to me than the drive I was making from Roseville to the Bay Area and well worth the few extra miles drive past Sacramento. Ophelia did a wonderful job and as I got my hair done, I watched all of the staff do their thing...natural hair, perms, weaves, flat irons, short cuts; they do it all!4-15-17 update...I took my daughter to get her hair done. I came in after months of not seeing a stylist for my hair. I was blessed to be seen by Ophelia who worked wonders with my hair. Not only was she kind and friendly but so was the entire staff. The atmosphere was great, the salon is kept very clean and everyone was professional. You could tell this is not just a job but a passion for many of the staff as they were up to date with the newest trends and techniques. Personally: Ophelia was also up front about what styles would work with my hair, what she was doing to my hair and also what products I should (and shouldn't) be using at home. This means so much because I've found that many stylist are so scared they are going to lose customers if they teach them how to properly care for their hair, which for me is absolutely not the case. I wanted a drastic change to my hair, and I'm very pleased with how Sophia executed my haircut.To begin, I wanted to target a salon in the Fairfield/Vacaville with a reputation of serving customers who were Black simply because I'd feel more confident that they'd know what to do with my hair-- and I wasn't disappointed, because they/Sophia did! My main goal was to change my hair from thick/curly/dry to something more manageable, so I opted for a keratin protein treatment with heat and a trim (though I will still have to keep up with product and drying it, I think it is a much more simplified process). Product was applied quickly without confusion, processed within 30 minutes, dried, and styled (total appointment took about 2-3 hours). Went to see Ophelia for a sew-in and got the royal treatment! The establishment is beautifully maintained and the stylists are all warm and inviting. I appreciated the attention Phili paid to the health of my hair and the time spent executing my desired style. I worked with Sophia (Hair) and Danielle (Make Up) for my Sonoma/ Napa Valley wedding and I was over the moon with both of their work. As an African-American bride, my biggest concern was finding someone that could do my HAMU at a reasonable price. My planner recommended Salon Philosophie and I could not have been HAPPIER with how my overall look turned out. Sophia and Danielle showed up on time, they were great at communications and most important- they are experts at what they do. Sophia made all of my very diverse (white, black, mixed, natural, relaxed) friends look fantastic. I use to come here all the time when I lived in the area. My aunt and cousin go to Joshua and have been for years. This Tuesday my Nana was referred to him by my aunt for a full sewin weave.  She came to him with a weave that was less than professional. My Nana is in her late 60s and he gave her THE BEST weave. It is absolutely stunning.  I could not stop staring at it. It fit her face beautifully. Our family was and is still is so pleased!  She loves it, and will definitely be back. It's so refreshing to see two sisters who have a booming business; and are both mothers/wives/and entrepreneurs! Sophie and Ophelia are amazing. The other stylists are really good too. I was looking for a place near my sister's wedding venue to get my hair done. I called a week in advance to see if anyone there could do a natural updo. I was referred to Phili. She was pleasant over the phone and gave me an appointment for 7 am. The week of my appointment, she communicated with me via text to help me select the hair.
