Okay so I'm giving this place a star for how nice the front people are and the girl who cut my hair. Unfortunately I was at my appointment on time and still had to wait 25 minutes. Another thing my hair cut was BAD. It looks all choppy with no kind of layers. Like she just cut straight and not made it look nice. I wanted to do something new with my hair since it's been a hot minute since I last got my hair done. I searched on yelp and this salon caught my eye so I decided to message and inquire an appointment and details on what I was looking for. They responded in a promptly manner and requested pictures of my current hair and what my goals were. I was super impressed that they even gave me a breakdown of what services I would need and the costs of the service. I knew that this was the one I wanted to go to.I arrived at my appointment and felt welcomed already since I was greeted right away and had my temperature checked. Adriana (sorry if I spelled your name wrong ) was the sweetest taking care of me. I feel like we clicked instantly and was very comfortable and I really enjoyed my time there. She gave me advice on maybe going a little lighter than what I wanted and I trusted her then. I never once felt awkward and had such a blast there. I was looking for a new salon to try out. I read there reviews and checked out there IG... pretty much everything I read is what sold me to try them out. Their pictures were on point too!I messaged them via IG and they were quick to reply with all the information that was needed. With that said, I felt confident enough to book my appointment. Come the day, I was set with Karen. She worked her magic hands on my hair and did wonders. I was beyond impressed and absolutely in love with my hair. Adrianna is a hair coloring Goddess! I was referred a month ago for a haircut by my sister and Adrianna was so sweet and kind to me. We hit it off and I promised to come back for a hair coloring. I was in need of a haircut and I am very picky/scared of going to anyone new. I found Adriana on Yelp and I do not regret it one bit! She was very welcoming, nice, knowledgeable and honestly the best at what she does. I went in for a hair cut with long layers & she did the best layers I've ever gotten. When I went to the salon Adriana did an amazing job with my hair as I got it dyed black. My 11 year old has a lot of curly & thick hair. She is blessed but like a typical tween she doesn't know the blessing her hair is. She is an active kid who plays sports and she doesn't like styling her hair. Instead of pulling it into a ponytail everyday I suggested an asymmetrical short cut. She's super shy but Salon One 9 was attentive, looked at her foto inspiration, and got her what she wanted. The shorter cut really highlights her natural curls and pretty green eyes. First thing:! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SALONONE9 FOR ALL THINGS HAIR !The first time I came into the salon I wanted a haircut. Jeanne took care of me and the rest is history! She is so talented and so professional. After deciding to grow my hair out again, I reached back out to Jeanne but this time for a color change. JEANNE AND MARIA ARE MAGICIANS I gave them an inspo pic and literally achieved exactly what I wanted ALL IN ONE SESSION! I have dark brown (kinda thick) Asian hair and was a little scared at what the outcome was going to be because I wanted a super light (almost white/silver) purple --reference attached. It took roughly about 7/8 hours to get it right but it was all worth it in the end! Had such an amazing experience at Salon ONE 9, and a huge shoutout to Adriana for making my hair absolutely gorgeous! I haven't colored my hair since Sept. 2019, so my previous balayage was all grown out/cut off already. I have my engagement photo shoot coming up soon and was looking for an appointment to spruce up my hair after not doing it for close to three years now. I consulted a few salons around the area but found Salon ONE 9 to be the most straightforward and responsive, something I really appreciated since I was short on time. I also really appreciated the salon's efforts to follow COVID-19 protocols. I was instructed to text the salon once I arrived at my appointment, so the team can sanitize/clean the station that I will be at. Everyone was super friendly, and I was offered water and coffee, as well as snacks! Adriana was super friendly and very welcoming! I could tell that she's an experienced stylist because she was so attentive. She asked questions about how I usually wear/part my hair, so she'd have a better idea of how she should proceed. She also referred back to my inspiration pictures throughout our appointment, so she could get my hair as close to the look I was trying to achieve. I was looking for a more natural balayage/highlight kind of look, and I'm so happy with the results! The thing I appreciated the most about Adriana was how gentle she was to my hair! I have very fine hair and tend to lose lots of it whenever I'm stressed, so I'm always very careful with how I comb my hair, in order to prevent minimal hair loss. Adriana was so gentle, and she treated my hair with such care. My appointment lasted from 9am - 2pm, and throughout it all, Adriana made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Definitely recommend her! I have had 3 successful appointments here so far and I am never going anywhere else! The first time I came in I had no idea what I wanted (first timer) and Jeanne was so helpful when it came to helping me choose what I wanted. I've never had light hair before. I was so nervous. The hair stylists and front desk receptionist here are all very nice. I sent out a message to this salon before they even opened and Viviana responded super fast. I said I needed a haircut ASAP and Viviana gave me the earliest appointment that their salon had and that was 9:30. The whole process was super easy. I basically told her what kind of haircut I wanted and sent her a picture. She then told me to fill out a questionnaire to make sure that I was COVID negative. Finding the salon was not too hard. The salon is located on the right side of Kumon if you were facing that direction. They do not have a sign outside of their salon, so I was a little lost but luckily Viviana was able to tell me exactly where the salon is located as soon as I got lost in that plaza. Viviana was very sweet :) She checked my temperature and gave me hand sanitizer before she got me seated. My hairstylist, Elisia (not sure if I spelled her name correctly), came in a few moments later to introduce herself and asked me what haircut I wanted. I told her specifically what I wanted which was messy layered hair cut up to my chest and curtain bangs. Once she got that image in her mind, she took me to go get my hair washed. She was so gentle when she washed my hair. She was not aggressive when massaging my head, unlike the other hairstylists that I go to. Also, the shampoo that she used to wash my hair smelled SO nice. Moving forward, she chopped my hair. I can tell that she has a strong passion in this field based on how she talked to me, the patience and focus she had, and more. Elisia (again, not sure if I spelled her name correctly!), would be my go-to hair stylist when I come back here in the near future because she is a sweet gal who knows her stuff and does exactly what I asked her to do as in she cuts my hair exactly the way I wanted. The salons that I have been to, the hairstylists always cut my hair SHORTER than what I asked. So, bravo to Elisia for cutting just the right amount of hair xD Oh another thing to mention is that one of the hair styling spray that Elisia used on my hair prior to blow-out smelled so good! I do not remember the brand but I do want to purchase it the next time I go there, along with the shampoo that I said smells good as well :) My overall experience was amazing! AMAZING! I'm so glad I decided to come here! My first appointment was for a bleach to take my blonde hair to platinum and it was beautiful and so healthy after! Jeanne really made sure everything was going smoothly every step of the way. Every stylist I encountered was friendly and easy to talk to. My next appointment with Zinali was also incredible! She not only made me feel beautiful on my prom day but was able to help me calm down when things were getting stressful! I gave her creative freedom and she did not disappoint! Kind of frustrated and kind of disappointed, the color was so beautiful right after it was dyed, but after 1 wash the colors faded considerably. I understand that pink fades quickly, but 1 wash seems a bit too quick, and it just feels alittle bit like a rip off after paying an extra $100 for the pink toner. In total I spent around $450 and when I asked the stylist if anything could be done, she told me not to wash my hair everyday and just to buy a color pigment product at the salon instead of offering to help touch it up. I won't come back here to be honest.Edit:Elicia reached out to me and offered to recolor my hair for free and I went home with a color shampoo and tips to maintain the color this time around. Jeanne was patient and thorough answering all my questions after inquiring on yelp and did an absolutely beautiful job!To start, my hair was up to my butt and hadn't been touched for 2-2. 5 years (pre-covid) so was in dire need of lots of love. I lost touch with my previous hair artist of over 12 years and needed a new home for my hair, and believe me (I'm picky haha), this is itFor my first appointment, I had set a pretty high goal of going from dark brown (almost black) Asian hair to a bright ash blonde balayage plus a hair treatment and cut.My looooong stay (7ish hours! 100+ foils!) was comfortable and fun, all the staff were welcoming and attentive. I'm not one to frequent salons, bc my time not working is usually spent doing things with and for my kids/family. Bc of that, I go to the salon only when I've reached a point of complete frustration with my hair. It's usually long, split ends galore, and any color faded wayyy out. My hair def needed some care, and I found this salon while searching in my new neighborhood. I messaged them and within an hour they had responded and after some back and forth to hone in on what I was looking for, I was scheduled for that same evening!The front desk was super friendly when I arrived, and Elicia was great and really attentive to what I wanted. I had had a really long day and wasn't all that talkative, but she was awesome, and just worked on pampering my hair. I left happy with my cut and color, and she even said if I wanted more of a pop to my color, I could come back and she could do just that. I decided to go to this place to get a haircut because of the good reviews but now I regret it!!I showed the hairstylist (Elicia) the photo of the haircut I wanted but I got a different hairstyle that what I was looking for. When she finished cutting my hair she showed me the front and the layers and everything was fine but she never showed me the back so I went home thinking my hair was good. When I got home and looked at the back I realized it looked nothing like the picture I showed her. So I went back to the salon and I asked if she could fix it. I really thought it was an easy fix since the layers and the front were good. The only thing I didn't like was the back because it is too flat! It looks like a paint brush!! When I got the salon I talked to the owner (Jeanne) who told me they couldn't fix it because it had been more than 7 days since the haircut which is true but I feel like that shouldn't matter. Jeanne was very unprofessional she didn't even bother asking me what was wrong with the haircut or why I didn't like it. She literally told the stylist Elicia "come deal with this" and then she left. This shows she doesn't really care about her costumers, all they care about is money. By the way they charged me extra for the haircut because I had "long thick hair" I ended up paying $77 for a haircut I didn't like. I never thought this was going to be a big deal. I was literally only asking them to fix the back which they could of done it in 10 min. At the end they agreed to fix it but they were going to charge me 50% of the service, (around $40) which I thought was ridiculous! Why would they charge me for their mistake? I love how every time I get my hair done with Jeanne, she is always on point with the the ideas and requests I come with. I appreciate any suggestions she gives and I always ask for them because I come with crazy ideas for my hair sometimes . Lol. I leave looking fabulous and not like a hot mess. My hair is healthier. Recently, Idyed my hair purple in November 2021 and the color is still fresh and vibrant because of Jeanne's recommendations and the hair treatment with color deposit I got from her. I went in for a straight cut short hair look. I didn't realize the severity of the unevenness until I got home and looked at myself at all different angles. The hair cut was uneven to say the least and looked very different in contrast to the reference picture I had shown. I also burned by the straightener used on my hair after the cut was done. This salon is a GEM!!!I went in for an all over refresh with Elicia. She started by moving up my extensions and giving me a gloss toner, which made my hair feel hydrated and luxurious! She then gave me a trim to even out the ends and styled my hair afterwords. My hair felt so healthy and refreshed! Elicia even talked me into adding black sparkly tinsel, BEST IDEA EVER! I've always been insecure about my eyebrows because they are fairly light. However I consulted with Zinali about what could be done. She recommended doing a brow lamination and tint. I was pretty spectacle at first since I'm very particular when it comes to my eyebrows. But I'm so happy that I put my trust in Zinali. She was very professional, patient and knowledgeable. It was my first time getting my hair dyed ever, and Zinali could not had done a better job! I wanted an auburn-brown balayage with shadow roots, and miscommunicated a bit at first, and ended up having it a bit lighter than l wanted.
