SALON 599

I have been going to Salon 599 for over a year and a half, once a week for a blow out.  I go once a month for coloring.  I was going to Florida  for vacation an I wanted to try the  balayage which is dimensional highlighting. I have received  so  many compliments on my new coloring because my haIr doesn't look highlighted,  it looks sun kissed.  Vani is a fantastic cosmetologist,  and coloring is one of her many specialties.   I am so very pleased.  Come see for yourself. I had a business/vacation trip to Honolulu, Hawaii in August and I knew that I needed and wanted a new hairstyle. I searched on Groupon and found a great deal at Salon 599 in Norwood. I went and had the keritin treatment, haircut, and blow dry for a very reasonable price. I also had a color touch up. I have had so many compliments on my new hair style. Vani, really listened to what I wanted my hair to look like, and she made it happen with her amazing expertise. She will also honor this groupon price for the keritin treatment when you come for another session. It's now Sunday afternoon and I am returning to her shop to have my hair styled for an occassion that I I have tonight with my husband. I know that I wlll be pleased with my hair- do because as a stylist, Vani does whatever you request. I think that this is a big deal, because not every stylist follows your request and pleases you the way that Vani has so graciously pleased me. I am now one of her loyal customers. If you give her one chance. I guarantee that you like myself will come back for her lovely, gentle, knowledgeable service. Salon 599 is a great experience. Thanks again!!! I forgot to mention on my rave review of Vani, and her fabulous salon , that she does eyebrow threading and my eyebrows now look perfect because of ber. Vani can and does it all cosmetically. Vani colored, cut and blow dryed my hair, I had threading on my eyebrows and face, lazer hair removal on my legs, and a facial with steam that has made my skin really glow. Vani cut my hair and gave me a keratin treatment- great experience! I have very fine and easily damaged hair and I really damaged it a few months ago with some ill advised coloring at a different salon. I was in rough shape and now my hair is soft and feels great. I have seen Vani and her colleague, Furoz, for 3 months and I am extremely pleased with the results.  I have seen a dramatic change in the condition  and appearance of my hair.  The salon sells many great products and one of them is the  Majestic shampoo/conditioner duo which is amazing.  I have had such a great experience  with this salon that I highly recommend  that you make an appointment  and see for yourself just how great they really are.  My next appointment is to have one of Vani's facials.  Many brides to be come there for  skin and, hair treatments,  plus eyebrow threading before their big day.  I have had the opportunity  to speak with a few of them, and  they are also raving over 599 like myself. *NEW OWNERSHIP*  Vani is the new owner of Salon599 so if anyone was dissatisfied with the previous owner please give her a chance, you will be impressed by Vani.  She reached out to me after reading my review from 3 years ago and to give her salon a try.  She is running a special on Keratin so I did decide to give her a try and went today.  So happy I did.  She, her staff and the salon are 100% focused on you and the service .  She's very calm, peaceful and friendly and I not only felt comfortable but my hair looks amazing!  She's very knowledgeable and offered samples of product for my scalp and hair.  She's multitalented and not only does hair, but threading, laser, skin care and more.  She's been doing this for 15+ years and you can tell.  She will work with you on price if you are a regular.  The salon is very clean and of a medium size and newly painted.  It has a nice waiting room with a TV and magazines with relaxing music inside the salon.  She even offered me coffee.  I'm so glad to have tried Vani and will be returning.  What had been a bad experience with the unethical previous owner turned into a blessing in disguise in finding Vani  :)  Night and day.  If you're considering Keratin or any other service don't hesitate and give her a call!  I'll definitely be back.  :)) More...

Underwent 2 sessions of laser treatment for my facial hair and the results are just amazing!!!!! I could hardly see hair growing back and thickness of hair has almost got reduced. Should really appreciate vani for her kindness and extraordinary professionalism. I have been in trouble with this unwanted hair since teenage and even underwent laser sessions elsewhere couple of years back and I was very much disappointed with the negative results and couldnt even bear the pain during my treatment sessions. As a Keratin treatment veteran, I sought out a salon that used the Coppala products. Not only does this salon use the products I love, but the professional job done by Kara is the best I've ever had. Well worth the drive from the Cape ( there's always shopping that can be done!), I  recommend Kara for ALL your salon needs. The small salon is calm and inviting...and a fabulous rest room with sugar scrub - available for a do it yourself hand treatment - was a bonus. So I got a groupin a year or so.  Went and saw Kara and loved her.  She was very personable and did a good job.  I thought I finally found someone I could be loyal to. ....got another groupon and called Kara to get an appointment.  Walked in and she was nowhere to be found.  I was told by someone with broken English she was not able to come to work that day.  I totally understand things happen, but maybe a phone call to be able to reschedule?  Nothing.  This woman (I don't know her name) was so abrasive.  I didn't trust her to do my hair.  That was it for me.  I wish Kara just called me to let me have the io prion to reschedule.  She is good.Just an update and change in review.  This above was a misunderstanding.  Upon reading my review Kara reached out and apologized.  She had no idea what happened and felt bad.  I really am happy because as stated she is WONDERFUL.  Thank you Kara.  I appreciate you handling it in a professional manner. I had a fabulous experience at Salon 599!  I have lived in Norwood for 2 years but still trekked to the South Shore for my hair.  I tried two other salons and decided it wasn't THAT long of a drive.  Two awful haircuts will do that to you!  I decided to try again and took to Yelp where I found my new salon.  Kara gave me a beautiful cut and the entire staff was warm and friendly!  Very happy and highly recommend! Keratin Kara is the best! This is the second time I went to Kara at Salon 599 - in between I went to someone else and the results were mediocre and short- lived. Kara is kind, patient, professional, and her work product is terrific. Everyone keeps asking if i got my color done or a cut as well, but the keratin is so good, it makes all the difference. The experience with Kara on my wedding day could not have been better. Kara was professional and friendly during all of our interactions, and I loved the convenience of her traveling to us on the big day. All the hairstyles were beautiful, and stayed that way all day. I very much enjoyed my time with Kara, who was calm and friendly in the midst of all the busy preparations. I was very glad to find someone so talented to help me prepare for my wedding - anytime that I had a questions she would always respond very quickly back and arrived at the hotel on time. She was also very reasonably priced. I was blown away by my luck at finding her on the internet and the quality of her work. I have very curly hair and saw a Groupon for a keratin treatment and blow out at Salon 599. When I was there Kara the owner mentioned that I would look great in hair extensions and some highlights also. The following month I saw another Groupon for hair extensions at the salon and went back for them. I am not sure what happened with Doris B. but I was only charged what was quoted on Groupon.  I have had many complements from co-workers and girlfriends, one of whom is a hairdresser, for how great my hair has looked since I started to see Kara!
