About

I am a creative and scientific minded thinker. I worked as a neuroscientist full time for three years, and now also as a musician and video editor. During my full-time job, I performed in many restaurants and venues, while also teaching guitar lessons and editing videos.

Q&As

As a teacher I love passing on the knowledge I have gained from my own teachers. I've been privileged enough to study with some of the best guitarists and musicians in the world. I studied with Jazz Legend, Joe Negri (Handy Man Negri on Mister Rogers), for 5 years while at Pitt. I also worked with and studied under the one and only Dr. Geri Allen. As well as taken guitar lessons from Ella Feingold (guitarist and orchestrated for almost every Pop Album you can think of). There are so many things that I love about all of my jobs I do. Most importantly I love being creative and helping others do the same with their creative projects. I love connecting with other people and I can't wait for all of the new projects I get to be a part of.

I had a fantastic time working in the science world. I don't think I've actually left science, and I may come back to it in the future. However, working alongside the brilliant minds of my Mentors, Post Docs, Grad Students, and Colleagues I realized that my passion for science wasn't close to their passion. For me it was something that came easy to me, but all day long I would be thinking about music, video editing, and creating. I decided to start my own business to follow my passions and experience the world. This would allow me to new people and cultures, while being able to help more people through my business. I'm excited to meet the next individual I work with and get the job done to both of our standards.

Clients should choose me because of my expertise in various fields. I've been professionally performing for around a decade. I have a huge connection of friends and colleagues around the world. I am on time and used to handling multiple projects at once. In my previous job as a Neuroscientist, I handled multiple projects as well as taught Post Docs, Grad Students, New Hires, and Undergrad on various protocols within the lab. I know how to get the job done with no mistakes, high quality, and a fast turn around time.

As a teacher I have been teaching lessons for over 5 years both in person and remotely. I teach out of various method books, using my own knowledge, different technical warmups, music theory for guitar, and by sticking to and learning the music. The music is the source for all teaching methods, and is the ultimate teacher. So that is where we keep our focus when learning music is from the songs.

Yes, all of my services are provided online and remotely. I do work in person if I am within the area of the client, but that is rarer. I set up meeting times for a full month in advance for when I have an online meeting or teach a lesson to a student. This way both myself and the customer know exactly when we have to meet for the month, and we won't run into any scheduling problems. I work through Skype, Zoom, and Muzie.Live (for teaching only).

I began working remotely online to keep customers safe. If I do work in person, then I will wear a mask unless otherwise told that the client is safe without one. I am very responsive, so working remotely isn't a problem for me. I have a schedule set up and make it very easy for students, video clients, or guitar recording clients to easily reach me. I am also fully vaccinated.

Services

I offer online remote guitar lessons. These are all taught through a teaching video platform. I record all my lessons and share them with students. We create goals together so that students will be doing exactly what they want to do on guitar. I offer both one on one and group lessons.

I have been performing professionally as a guitarist for over a decade. I perform in various Wedding Bands, Pop, Funk, Jazz, Rock, Soul and Blues Bands. Recently, I performed with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Stars including The Drifters, The Marcels, Lou Christie, The Marvelettes, and Bobby Rydell. I write my own original music with Funk heavy guitar parts, but I also enjoy writing Pop Music, Rock Music, Jazz Music, Relaxation Music, and many other styles as music has no bounds. My creativity will allow me to write the guitar parts you are seeking for your song no matter the genre.

I color grade/correct many videos. I focus on music videos being a musician, but I also work on film projects and any type of video editing. I work a lot on my own YouTube Channel as well, but want to expand and help other people with their video editing projects.
