First time there today. I was always wanting to try it because of word of mouth was saying " It's the best " " Puts other sub shops to shame". I'm going to have to agree with them. From now on when I say subs, it's gonna be Rustics Subs. Oh and people, don't be scared of the prices, you will definitely be surprised at the portion size. Got a half sub ( philly steak+cheese)and it was phenomenal. Filled me up , yeah.... a half sub, and this is coming from a guy that could eat a footlong, whatever is left of my girlfriends and whatever is left of our daughters. 1 half sub portion was like at least 3 six inch sub portions from other places.Bottom line is they are great and will be getting our subs from them from here on out. Completely unimpressed with the sandwiches here, and we were so hoping for an independent sandwich shop that wasn't a huge chain. He ordered a Baked New Yorker - the pastrami was bland, and spicy mustard was non-existent. I ordered the Caprese with no pesto, which was supposed to be baked (its the only Caprese on their menu), and it came as a panini, with no balsamic vinaigrette. 2 sandwiches, $29 and change. My husband, daughter, and I ate here for the first time last week. We loved it! One of my favorite things was that they let my daughter ‘shop’ for little treats - her own water, snacks, and candy! We just stopped here for dinner, probably the worst meal I’ve had. Unfortunately my fiancé and I noticed AFTER we ordered, how filthy the kitchen and bathroom were. I asked for my Philly cheesesteak without peppers and onions, not once but TWICE, to my surprise my sub came with onions and pepper, if this was not possible I should have been told so.
