After living with my awkward kitchen for too long I decided it was time to do a remodel. Â Since my budget was limited I decided to concentrate on a few sensational items, rather than a whole bunch of off the shelf pieces. Â I went to Jaime at Rustic101 and explained my vision and he understood what I was after and delivered items that were beyond what I imagined. Â If you are looking for quick turn around, then this may not be your store, but if you are looking for old world quality, heirloom type pieces Rustic101 is the spot to go. Â If you can imagine it...they can make it. Â When my items showed up I literally burst into tears I was so happy. Â They were perfect. Â Jaime and his team take so much pride in their workmanship that I was awed. Â I cannot thank Rustic 101 enough for making my kitchen dreams come true. Â I purchased an island, a pantry door, an unbelievable carving over my stove, chandeliers, a front door and a gorgeous gate. Our gates are amazing! Â They changed the whole look of our house, we couldn't be happier. Â We found this company through reading reviews on Yelp and it's nice to come full circle now and write a 5 star review. Â They have excellent customer service and excellent workmanship. Â Even our pool maintenance company and gardener have complimented the gates to us and let us know these will last a lifetime. Â We ordered 3 total - 2 side gates and a shorter front gate. All I can say is WOW, wait till you see my courtyard door! Our neighbor's down the street put in a door which was exactly what we wanted & they gave us Rustic 101's address. We not only found the door for the courtyard but a beautiful front door. They send us updates on the progress & our door should be here in time for Xmas. About a year ago, we hired James and his team to build a wooden gate for our side yard. The design of the gate is absolutely beautiful and the combination of wood and iron made us very happy with our purchase. Â However, with all the rains that we had this winter, our wooded gate started to take in a lot of water and started to swell to the point where we could no longer open or close the gate. It became a very big issue. We contacted James and let him know the problems that we were having and he came back and took care of it without issue. They drilled screws into the wood and filled the holes which completely camouflaged them and made the gate as good as new. The gate is working once again and it has been restored to its original beauty! Â Because James stood by his work and repaired the gate, he is as good as it gets. It did take him a few weeks to resolve and I had to be diligent about keeping in touch with him but it wasn't a big issue for me. Â Regardless of it all, I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. James is a wonderful and HONEST person with great integrity. Â Business owners like him are hard to come by these days. I'm only hoping one day we can give him more business. If you have any woodwork needed around the house, call or visit James. You can't miss his shop. For all us in San Diego, we've passed it hundreds of times as it's right off the Highway 101 and a block away from Fletcher Cove. This family-owned and operated specialty store has sat on the corner of S. Hwy 101 and Lomas Santa Fe since 1998 and has enjoyed every minute of it.
They are manufactures and retailers of handcrafted rustic-style wooden furniture and doors as well as artistic iron gates, banisters and fencing. This is custom stuff all made in Tijuana. The showroom is filled with samples of their unique craftsmanship. You can bring in photos of what you like and they will build and install it.
You can also purchase anything in the store to take with. Lovely place with great service and a commitment to excellence is what you'll find here.
