I had no idea my tree stand was leaking throughout December. Poor choice, I put it on my brand new wool rug. When I took the tree out I had a huge stain and a terrible mildew smell in the rug. I tried to clean it myself with a home shampoo vacuum. The rug just got worse and it looked like it would be a goner. Rug Masters quickly picked it up and had it back in two weeks as promised. We have used Rug Masters twice now and each time I am very impressed with the clear communication and finished product. One of our very large cream colored rugs had significant soiling - now it looks perfect, like new. The other rug was a high-end Tibetan wool which had a lot of high-traffic spots and it looks fabulous after being cleaned. Definitely would recommend and we plan to use again. Iraj and his team helped me by installing a curtain rod insert on a family heirloom Persian rug so we could hang it in our new home. We have a dog & a cat and two hand-dyed Persian rugs that hadn't been cleaned since our dog was a puppy. We had gone nose blind but knew the truth -- those rugs were dirty! Rug Masters saved us. Had 3 large area rugs cleaned (largest 11x12 feet). They provided great service. They picked up the rugs from my house and delivered them back once they were cleaned. Cleaning took about 2-3 weeks but this was in the middle of the COVID pandemic. Super convenient. One of my rugs had years of dog accidents on it and when it came back all the pee odors and funky smells were gone (just like new)!! Also offered a Yelp coupon which gave a discount. I rarely write any reviews, yet in this case Iraj and and his team totally deserve 5 stars; Very easy to communicate with, to schedule pick up and delivery of rugs; they have always been on time are professional and courteous;I so far had a white living room rug cleaned several times, incl a wool-silk rug from Tibet; each time, rugs were returned "squeaky clean". We have some beautiful rugs from Morocco and Afghanistan (and a cheaper one from Target) that needed a deep clean. Jay was extremely responsive and quick to pick up the rugs, clean them, and drop them off at our new home. They look brand new!!! I have a Kilim from North Africa that is key to my home decor and very special to me. After 30 years it was showing the wear with the threads pulling apart and tiny holes. I was afraid to have it cleaned due to its condition, I knew it would need TLC. A neighbor suggested I contact Jay at Rug masters . I sent him a photo and spoke with him and he assured me they could do the work. I brought the piece in and was pleased to find out how much Jay knew about this type of Kilim and that they could do the restoration work.They did an amazing job !- all the holes rewoven, the ends stitched, and the cleaning brought out the original colors. They did a spectacular job cleaning and repairing my carpets, in one case importing wool yarn from overseas to match the original. Â The repairs are virtually undetectable. Â The best part is their deep knowledge of the craft - they could identify the age and places of origin by the designs and types of wool used. Â I bought all of my carpets in China over a twenty five year period but learned that most were originally from Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Iran, Tibet and Afghanistan. Â Four years later I asked Rugmasters to clean and repair four carpets damaged by an incorrigible Chihuahua. Â They came back spotless and beautiful, in pre-Chihuahua condition. Â I am also grateful to Jay for identifying and repairing some damage I had missed on an old Kilim I received as a wedding present from my mother. First time dog owner, long time rug lover. That's a recipe for disaster. My puppy marked my beautiful, antique Moroccan rug early on in his training, and then decided to make it a permanent go-to spot. I thought for sure the rug was ruined, but even stained I wanted to get the urine out. I called Rug Masters who made no promises other than they would do the best that they could. Three weeks later (because they washed it multiple times) my rug just came back looking as good as the day that I bought it. I am blown away! These guys are pros, but more they care about quality. Due to Covid My rug got held hostage for 3 months and I was thrilled to get a text saying that they were open. My beautiful rug was cleaned and repaired and when he opened it in the store I was flabbergasted at how gorgeous it was. I had forgotten. I am thrilled at the work they did, advice I got, and for them keeping in contact with me. They will remain open now and don't let the cautious boarding up of the windows fool you. Wow! To say my rug was a mess is a understatement. I had purchased the large vintage rug years ago at a flea market and it had gone through potty training a new rescue pup and a sick cat who both had had their fair share of accidents on it. It was STINKY, stained, and had been rolled up in a closet well over a year before I finally took it to be cleaned. My rug now looks stunning, there is no smell at all, and the mat they cut for us fits perfectly and keeps the rug in place. Not only that they also educated us, telling us the origin of the rug, roughly when it was made, the value, how to give it long term care. To say the least we will be coming back and I now feel confident purchasing more vintage and antique rugs knowing Rug Masters will be there to make sure they are gorgeous and clean for my home. We live in Sebastopol and needed a good but reasonable rug cleaning service. We used one nearby and were disappointed by the attitude and pricing. Then we were referred to Jay at Rug Masters. Well earned 5 star. I ignored my previous Persian rug for years and it had turned out so dirty, I thought it is beyond repair.
