We worked with Roy's Builders on a new construction home for our family. Elior and Ilia are warm, responsive and truly professional. From the beginning, meeting with Elior to discuss project scope, budget and timeline was great. Elior provided us with honest input and was quick to respond to our questions. After a few initial meetings, it became clear to us that we'd be in good hands with the Roy's builders. Once demolition and construction began we worked closely with Ilia on the day to day details. He made sure that the trades and subs followed the construction documents and facilitated communications between the architect and the subs. Elior and Ilia were always ready to answer my call or meet on site if there was an issue. In one instance a quote from a vendor came back way over budget but, using their extensive network, they were able to get the same item from another vendor for much less. We always felt that our family was the priority in the project. Now that construction is done and we are living in the house, the relationship with Roy's Builders continues. Elior has been on top of tackling punch list items as I raise them. He is still quick to pick up the phone when I call. We utilized Roy's Buliders on an extensive remodel of our home.  They remodeled four bathrooms, two fireplaces, new flooring and interior painting.  It is not possible in one review to adequately express just how great it is to work with Roy's Builders!From the design and the initial setting of the scope of the project all the way through to the finish work, Roy's Builders were easily the best contractor we have ever worked with.  They approach is to employ multiple teams of "experts" in each area of the job.....design, plumbing, electrical, tile, painting, flooring, etc..  The project was managed by Elior, who was without question the most knowledgeable and helpful manager we have ever worked with!  He made many suggestions, most of which we agreed with, which made our final remodel project absolutely perfect!Every single individual at Roy's with whom we worked cared about only one thing:  what is best for us and for our house. Moreover, each individual we worked with were true perfectionists!  Quite honestly, their standards were even higher than ours!  I need to mention that the project came in on budget (very reasonable!) and on time.  Roy's Builders did everything we asked for....and much more!!  Our 36-year old house now looks beautiful and better than brand new!Lastly, I need to include a comment about how nice, friendly and easy to work with everybody was.  At the end of our project we have come to like and respect everything about Elior, his whole team, and everybody at Roy's Builders!  We will absolutely use them in the future as projects arise.  Without any reservations at all, we recommend Roy's Builders!!!!!! We worked with Elior to remodel our master suite which included moving some walls, relocating the laundry room, and the master closet. They also did a full master bath remodel. I can't say that everything went smoothly, as things will inevitably come up with any major remodel. Especially on a house, but everything was handled professionally. All the issues were addressed in a timely manner and with full transparency on timing and costs. (Rare!!)I'm extremely happy with the final masterpiece! Elior was very accommodating, and the foreman Jay was professional, sympathetic, and quick to address any concerns that came up. They were able to accomplish all our design goals and keep the integrity of our historic style house intact -- matching the rest of the house. I would definitely consider using Roy's Builders again on the next big project and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to do any sort of remodel on their home. More...

We hired Roy's builder last year to remodel our kitchen. We are happy with the result. One star deducted is explained in the cons below. I think I would recommend them if you have some experience with remodeling and know what you need to do without guidance. This was my first remodeling project, and it was not easy.Pros: - The contractors were very detailed and did a great job installing kitchen cabinets/appliances/ floor- Jay was very helpful and good to work with. He helped with many things along the way- Friendly team- Fair pricing- The team was very quick to follow up when I mentioned one of the drawers is not working well a few months after the project.  Cons:- Designer was not very on time. Need to follow up many times to get a design update- Our project had heavy delay (more than double the planned time) due to:   1. cabinet measurements were completely off because the dry wall space was not considered. Roy's insisted this is the cabinet company's fault, which I agree they have most of the responsibilities, but if Roy's team can send one person to verify all the numbers, we wouldn't have to re-order cabinets, and cut drawers and doors after 2-3month waiting on the cabinets, which resulted in another 2 month waiting. I would say being a mediator between cabinet company and contracting Company is not my intent when hiring a full service contracting company   2. Roy's has room to improve the project management experience for customers. Maybe they were too busy during covid time or our project become secondary after the whole cabinet issue. I had to research on my own for everything and of course it caused delays. This point is to illustrate that I only recommend them if you have prior experience and know what to order and what to do at each step.   3. Saks 5th Avenue pricing for Dollar tree quality!  So many things have gone wrong, they try to fix, but they end up breaking again.   No license for sub contract & it shows.  i mean wear to begin, geez this could take forever.  Toilet leaks, floors wobbly, they spray paint plugs, lights in bathroom work occasionally, cabinets all fuc*ed up, didn't replace all pipes, welding  for pipes sloppy, they use m copper pipes (cheap ones) no option to use better ones, for the price jeez, should at least give option.  Etc, etc.  Took too long; supposed to be done in october 2021, but still isn't done, we just had to end it.  Oh, so we ask about the license for sub contractors & they just say they are using another general contractor, 5 star, I believe in Los angeles, but they would not confirm this.  5 star wont contact me back.  Later on one of employees admitted that is BS.  They just didn't  hire licensed guys to do electrical, plumbing, flooring.   So I'd stay away if I were you.** I will say the guy they used to tile my bathroom is pretty good, but doesn't make up for all the bad. Do yourself a favor and just subcontract the individual specialties you need to get your project done right. These guys have no workmans compensation insurance so by law they subcontract out every worker they use and don't expect their subs to be qualified or licensed because they won't be. I just burned 100K on these guys and will now have to spend 50K+ fixing to professional standard. Do yourself a favor and pass. More...
