Royal Frenchmen Hotel and Bar

We absolutely LOVED staying at this hotel for Halloween weekend 2019! The rooms were immaculate , spacious and each day we took advantage of $3 martinis for happy hour with wonderful music. The hotel is just far enough from the bars on Frenchman so it’s quiet and peaceful but you are within minutes of some of the best music in the world. Ten minute walk to Jackson Square. We loved the personal feel and the modern decor. Yet it still had that New Orleans flare. This hotel has beautiful wood floors all thru out. No carpet!! Yay! I was impressed how clean and brand new everything was. The bathroom has beautiful tile work and a frameless shower door. ||While , we were waiting to check in we had a drink in the bar. We arrived for a 4 day stay here and I enjoyed every minute here! Excellent Happy Hour with Martinis made by our Bartender, Ben. He was very helpful about places to go and do as we were new in town. The room was really nice and on top of the bar. I would bring a sound machine if you want to drown out the noise. That’s if you turn in early. Perfect location and we walked everywhere because everything was close by. I loved sitting on the balcony people watching! Fascinating place and the staff is very helpful. Loved the location, decor, staff, upkeep. It was very quaint. Kat at the bar was super nice. Check in staff was courteous but a little short. Not overly friendly. E.G questions were answered ... but not with any emotion or personality to them, not a lot of smiles, or conversation. Was a little bit of a turnoff but I cant say they were rude in any way.Our room was charming and perfect - except that it was the last room booked there (Rm 101)... and it is on the first floor sandwiched between the public mens bathroom for the bar/hotel and Frenchman St. If people are partying - so are you. No getting around it. And people are always partying about 4. Bar closed at 12... people stayed outside reveling. Thats why we go... and we like to sleep a little earlier than 4am.We still LOVED our stay and we would stay there again if we dont get that room. More...
