I love this little dog beach but are increasingly concerned about its future. Though much much smaller than the dog beach in Huntington - I've been coming to Rosie's for years, primarily because of the very friendly neighborhood crowd and their non-aggressive, socialized dogs. We have however noticed a change over the past 2 years. Increasingly so we encounter the kind of dog owners we really try to avoid, because they have dogs that aren't sufficiently socialized and/or have aggressive tendencies and aren't being managed/supervised appropriately by their owners. This past 4th of July weekend was the first time we saw two separate dog-fights at Rosie's both initiated by dogs that shouldn't be off leash - anywhere! Unsupervised by irresponsible dog owners. I guess this is an unavoidable side effect from increased PR and notoriety ... Rosie's is no longer a well kept secret. More...

Nice beach. Easy to access. Although currently the parking lot is being remodeled. So not sure what the cost is going to be to park in the future. People and their dogs were very friendly. And nice to be near the beach. More...

Only dog beach in LA near my part of town. Lot of parking and room for the dogs to run and play. Pretty well self managed by the users and mostly friendly dogs and owners. A bit of a problem with debris and trash on the Beach especially after storms. A dog wash station would be a great addition. Current b sch showers have a “No Dogs in showers” sign which seems ridiculous. More...

My dog and I had a great time time. It was his first time to the beach, and the first time practicing all his social skills. He did a great job.

A pretty nice little beach, calm waves and you can walk out pretty far. Idk this might be our new beach because it’s a little closer.

If you are one that gets upset with getting sand kicked in your face and on your towel. Don't sit down by the action. Sit farther back. Cause that is destined to happen. Me, I don't mind, it's part of the experience. Love this place. Always a blast watching the pups enjoying themselves. More...

If there is ever a concept of heaven, I would think this place on an early Sunday morning would be it. Bring your doggos, let loose the dogs upon the beach to frolic, swim and make all the doggie friends. Best morning ever.

This was a great beach. I will warn you that there are some irresponsible people who do not clean up after their dogs, but the vast majority of people do clean up after their dogs. Most dogs are off the leash, but there no fences, so if your pups are runners this is not the place for you. More...

Great place to take the puppy! Parking is close and not expensive. The beach is clean of puppy poop, however there is trash that washes up on the shore line. I wouldn't let my kids swim in the water, but running and splashing in the waves with the puppy is awesome. The human bathrooms are kinda gross, but it's the beach. For the most part people only bring nice/friendly dogs, but I've seen some stay on the leash and have issues when others that come running up to them. Everyone is pretty understanding of all the dogs running around over the blankets and through the tents. We love coming here with our entire family!!! More...

What a great dog beach! ⛱ We took our two pugs and they had a great time. We found free parking, even on Labor Day weekend. Our dogs are very social, so we appreciated having other dogs around for them to play with. The beach was clean and the water was great. More...

Nice area with lots of space to find your own spot to play. I didn't see a lot of dropping about so that was nice.

One small aggressive dog ran up and snapped on my dog's rear end, but it wasn't serious. I didn't see that dog's owner at all or the next 20 mins and that concerned me. More...

I don't own a dog, but every other day that I pass right in front of this beach on my bike, it makes my day to see countless beautiful pups running free, enjoying the sand and breeze - it's beautiful! Thank you Rosie the Bulldog (RIP) and Justin for your legacy to LB More...
