This place is one of my favorite places and I don't even like going out that much! They have an amazing selection of food and it's amazing, very tasty and nice presentation. Their desserts are really good too, try their Tiramisu! And they even have a small corner for kids to hang out and that it's much appreciated. Had a delicious lunch at Roots on Franklin Street - had heard wonderful reviews about their local fried ocra, and fresh ingredients and the exposed brick and dining area was cool. We started with the shrimp ceviche- it was served with tortilla chips— my two teens gobbled every last bite down and left hardly any more me - had a bit of a kick with each bite. I had the tasty Roots Cobb Salad with chili rubbed grilled chicken - the Avocados/ Jicama/ Roasted Corn and Spicy Citrus Dressing were so fresh. The boys tried the Philly Flank Steak and the pulled pork BBQ - both generous portions and very juicy. I loved that this restaurant paid homage to their Central American “Roots” while serving up modern twists on traditional dishes. I highly recommend! More...
