Chloe worked wonders! We have a goldendoodle named Muncie. She first went to a puppy school class that had a focus for positive reinforcement. Muncie's issues were not resolved with these methods. Chloe used an e-collar to train Muncie during her 3 week board and train and she is a new dog. Muncie had bad separation anxiety and overall a resistance to listening to our commands. With Chloe's help, Muncie can now stay in place when I leave (especially in public places) and listens to my commands like heel, place, and dropping whatever's in her mouth when I tell her (lifesaving command). Once the dog comes home the owner will need to keep up with the commands and training as I did see Muncie trying to push her limits lol. I'm so glad we had Chloe to train Muncie and make her the best and more confident dog that she is now. Tl;dr: If you are going away on a vacation I highly recommend her board and train :) More...

Chloe is a AMAZING trainer. She really takes time to learn about your dog and what challenges you face. My dog has separation anxiety and none of my previous dog trainers really addressed it. She really guided me on how to combat this issue, and it really worked. Chloe also hosts some dog socials/pack walks so that she can help you with interacting with other dogs. Chloe makes sure after your dog training is done that you can always check in with her and ask any questions you need. You can tell Chloe really cares for you and your dog's development. Chloe is incredible. My husband and I looked at several different dog training programs for our dogs, Atticus & Scout. We wanted not just the obedience training, but tools that we can use for forever. We found this plus endless encouragement and a ridiculous amount of patience with Chloe at Rooted Dog Training.We have seen such an improvement in our dogs. They sit, heel and hold place on command. I called Chloe (on referral from Adrian) before I even knew I was getting my Mini-Aussie pup Esme, and I'm so happy I did! Chloe was super helpful, patient, and understanding throughout the entire process of getting my puppy, potty-training and crate-training her, figuring out what to feed her, and overall adjusting our lives to each other. Chloe was both encouraging and instructive even in moments where I thought "WTF, why did I just bring a puppy home?!" I went in to training knowing I wanted to train my dog off-leash, so we decided the Complete Obedience Program was going to be best fit for my goals. The first 4 sessions focused on leash-training with basic obedience commands, and the last 4 sessions focused on learning to communicate with the e-collar and strengthening the training.I LOVED the results I got with my girl Esme, but what I love most is that Chloe trains both the human and the dog to better understand each other, giving us a great foundation and line of communication for the rest of our lives. I'm so happy to have accomplished my goal of having a good everywhere dog - one I can trust off leash, that I can take on a hike, or out and about running errands. Chloe is an AWESOME trainer. My fiancee and I adopted a beautiful Australian Shepherd, we named Ellie, and we new instantly that we needed to train her so that we can manage the high energy associated with her breed. After talking to several trainers it was my initial conversation with Chloe that made me feel comfortable hiring her. She was knowledgeable and had answers to every one of my questions. I purchased the puppy package, which consisted of about 6 lessons. Our first lesson was a breeze and through practice and consistency all the other lessons were a great addition to Ellie's training. Chloe is an amazing trainer and so knowledgeable. We enlisted her to help with our two small dogs Badger and Moolissa. Badger and Moo both had a list of problems we wanted to tackle. It was our goal to take them on vacation with us and we are so proud to say our vacation was a success!!! They were so well behaved. We can now even take them to dog-friendly restaurants! They will stay in "place" the whole time. Even the waitress didn't realize we had dogs underneath our table. What do you love most about your job?
We love helping dogs but we also truly love helping the dog owners. Many are struggling and we want to provide the answers and help them reconnect with their beloved pet. Other's are getting brand new puppies and they want to get off on the right track. We love seeing the joy on people's faces as they see their dog develop into a well mannered happy dog that has now so much potential with their newly learned skills.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Many things inspired me. My own dog was a project dog that came with severe reactivity. Exeperiencing these challenges made me want to help others who were struggling. I also have always worked in the animal and pet industry. Working with animals is my true passion and helping people see their value and learning how to connect with them is a beautiful experience I wish to have forever.

We are honest and caring people who want to see our clients succeed. We care not only about a lasting result, but we care about the dogs fulfillment and over all well being. We make sure our clients understand everything that is involved to creating a balanced and well mannered dog. We work with you till you have the result you need and want. With lifetime aftercare you can be sure we always are there to support you.
We don't take on just anyone either. Just as you should not just take on any trainer. We look for ones who are eager to do what it takes, to practice, to stay educated, and who stay consistent because that is the only way we can get you the dog you want. It all starts with you, the dogs leader.
