Mike helped me stay on track last year when I was prepping for a big rim to rim hike in the Grand Canyon. He is always there when you need him! Whether it’s a session at the gym or a coffee at Flight, you won’t be disappointed by having him in your life!! More...

Mike has been working with my teenaged son and we have seen dramatic changes in his attitude, self-confidence, and fitness level in a very short time. Highly recommended!

We were very blessed to have Mr. Romps as our son's 2nd grade teacher. It was the start of a special bond between them that continues today. Mike understood his struggles & empowered him to be the best he can be physically & academically. He got what it was like to be the tallest in the class, awkward at times & even shy & Justin related to that very well. Justin was also diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes during that school year. Mike watched out for him like he was his own and even updated my husband and I throughout the day to make sure we were all comfortable. He became one of our few lifelines that year. We have called upon Mike's expertise, knowledge & caring nature many times since 2nd grade. He is consistently there for us & Justin anytime we call. Today, Mike continues to be a mentor for Justin, a friend he can count on to listen & guide him and a strong leader in his life. He inspires & empowers Justin in a way only a friend can. Our youngest also adores him, of course. We are truly lucky to have him part of the village helping shape the lives of our sons. Thank you, Mike, for everything. More...

I never played sports for Coach Romps in high school, and he was still one of the most influential people in my life during that time. He has the ability to mix in constructive criticism in with energy and enthusiasm. In one semester of training with him in the morning before school during my senior year, I grew more as an athlete, a leader, and a person, then I did with any other coach. He pushed me to my limits at points, and there are goals I never would have reached if not for him being in my corner, whether it was getting the weight room open for me, or training with me every morning at 5 AM, to simply giving good advice to an angry 18 year old who didn't understand the world yet. I met Mike 21 years ago as a young and immature high school senior. From the moment I met him he had a way of pushing me to strive for greater things. When I was unsure about going to college he pushed me to take the step. When I struggled with the transition during my freshman year, he was always there to guide and push me when I was ready to walk away. He showed me how hard work and self belief were the keys to success in all areas of life. Fast forward to today, and I am now a college graduate, business owner, and father. All of those same lessons that I learned from Mike decades ago, are the same principles that I live my life by today. If you have a child that is looking to maximize their potential as both an athlete and as a person, there is no one better than Mike to make that happen. More...
