Robert has done amazing projects and is capable of anything under the sun ( the Yale boathouse, a Russian Dascha in Colorado, countless Architectural Digest worthy residences, and even designed resorts) What amazed me about him was his interest , attention and kindness in helping me with a small New Canaan 1859 cottage. The addition he orchestrated has been wonderful and the addition/renovation was seamless. A true renaissance man and a gentleman. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my clients as i have in the past. More...

We adore Robert Orr...he did two very different major projects for us, and he nailed them both. He is talented beyond words, he listens well, loves to give the client what he or she wants while making sure they are operating within sound architectural principles and good taste!

Robert Orr & Co. of course are a great Architectural Firm, by resume, but a resume can not express the talent that Robert has when working with the general public. His listening skills to a group of Town residents over a period of 8 months, and the illustrative ideas he came up with for the future of our downtown area, especially where development could take place, were widely accepted unanimously!!! by the Town and it's residents. We were privileged to work with Robert Orr and his company on a long, carefully planned, and meticulously executed project in Connecticut.
Restoring a historic house after it had been gut renovated and had lost a lot of its original soul was no small or simple task. Robert and his team worked tirelessly to bring back historically correct details while at the same time being imaginative in ways that allowed the home to gain its own unique charm. As part of a team compromising an active client, a superb builder, a talented landscape designer, ourselves (the detail oriented designers) and Robert; we were able to create a very unique and special home. Robert's ability to know when certain things should not be too perfect and also when to strive for perfection in other instances is remarkable and a trait we hope to take with us into other jobs we work on.
His team are receptive and focused. They work well as a team and present their ideas in clear and efficient ways.
It was our pleasure to work with Robert Orr & Associates and we hope to have the chance to do so again in the near future.

Robert gave us a beautiful home with elegant details appropriate to the age and style of our house. Always a pleasure to be around and work with, he met all the time deadlines even when they were very tight. He adjusted plans to keep costs in line without losing the beautiful trim and finishes that everyone raves about now. A prior renovation of our house stripped out all the character. Robert put it back in so well that the original owner and builder would envy. He is so professional that all the team looked forward to hearing his view of things and deferred to his extensive knowledge. The result is a beautiful, elegant home that's easy to live in and enjoy. Experienced, Exclusive and Exceptional. All of Roberts projects that's I've seen were adherent to the classical schools of architecture but aren't afraid of venturing into niche interpretations and daring to present outside the box concepts that are uniquely Rob Orr.
