I was hoping if I walked away from my desk for lunch, my work would magically disappear. In those hopes, I decided to take a walk down to Westlake Park in downtown, to see which food trucks showed up. Saw Road Chef Global Bistro food truck, took a gander at their menu board sign, looked good to me and so I went up to the window to order. I decided order the "Steakhouse Sub", it's grilled steak, sauteed onions & mushrooms, pickled red onions, green onions, garlic mayo on this wonderful baguette. It was pretty tasty! The steak was grilled nicely, freshly cooked up and not dry, the cut wasn't thick nor cheaply thin, it was quite perfect. All of the accompaniments were good, played nicely with each other, and a pretty darn good hot sandwich!All I ordered was just the sandwich, you can add sea salt fries if you want for like another $2.50 or so. I think they have a large size too if you want more fries for like $5. They have about 7 entree items to choose from, they do wings on the weekends or certain days, so keep an eye out for that if you looking for wangs.My sandwich was $10, which is pretty much the going rate for downtown or wherever you go around here for lunch. Didn't shoot the breeze with the staff when ordering or waiting for my food, they seemed busy. Danny and his team are amazing! We hired his food truck to caterer for my dad's 50th birthday party this past weekend. Danny put together a wonderful custom menu that was "Asian fusion" style. We wanted food that was both delicious and easy to eat and he certainly delivered. You can tell Danny puts a lot of eat and soul into the quality of his food and it definitely shows. I'm a Reuben fanatic and from the Northeast, so I'm VERY picky. This is a good Reuben. Â At least about as good as I got at Goldberg's Deli in my hometown back East. Â My husband and I had the Reubens when RoadChef was at PostDoc Brewing and I see that this food truck is scheduled to be there more. Â So, Yay! ***Updated*** Danny reached out to me to offer an opportunity to make things right. He went out of his way to message me when they were going to be at my work location again and offered lunch on him. I can say now, that it was probably the best darn Reuben I've ever had. I'll be sure to visit them again when they come back around. Thanks Danny. I appreciate your dedication to customers!---------------------------------------------------------------------I entered the line at 12:45. There were approximately 10 people in front of me. It took 20 minutes to get to the front of the line to order. I ordered a Reuben sandwich. I stepped aside and waited. I watched while the orders directly in front of me were served. I anticipated mine would be next. Then they started calling folks who had ordered after me. Not one. Not two. Not three. Multiple. I asked if perhaps I had missed then calling my name. He said "no, its coming up next"... it was 1:20. I let him know I only had 20 min left of my lunch break. More folks ordered and received their food. I still did not get called. It was 1:30. 45 minutes to stand in line and wait. Still had no food. I asked for a refund. He turned to the chef and told him not to make mine. Wait. You hadn't even started it?!? He tried to give some stuttering excuse. I again asked for my money back. Folks behind me even piped up "we ordered way after her and we've already gotten ours". They could have saved me as a customer had they offered a discount...or next lunch on them? Anything. I received nothing - except disappointment. More...

Yum! Tried Road Chef at the T-Mobile building today. My wrap was DELICIOUS. The truck was slammed and my food came out in a very timely fashion, without sacrificing quality or quantity. I'm torn about this establishment. Â They catered an event for us, and the service, food, and execution were first-rate. Â Chef went way above and beyond in consulting on the menu, and being available on short notice for the event. Â All the food was tremendous, one of the best buffets I've had (and I've been playing string quartets in weddings for 35 years, I've seen a LOT of buffets...). Â They even put milk on ice to go with the cookie plate we had ordered!The food truck where most folks are likely to run into this establishment was, unfortunately, a bit of a let-down. Â My Reuben had excellent flavor, and a good proportion of the classic ingredients. Â But there were three small pieces of gristle in the corned beef, and I prefer my rye much more crispy, preferably fried up, but toasted would be marginally acceptable; the fry was too light on this sandwich for my taste, just not enough crisp. Â My partner's Asian chicken salad was delicious, though, so maybe I just need to find the sweet spot on the extensive menu. First time trying this food truck today, and was pleasantly surprised by how great the falafel was! I usually end up with overdone falafel at other places I've tried, but this was perfectly cooked (crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside). Tried them at Eye of the Needle winery in Woodinville, their menu was absolutely delicious! The Mac and cheese, the steak sandwich and the French fries were perfect! I had the Steak Sandwich with added Mushrooms, & Onions and it was amazing! Highly recommended. I don't often eat at food trucks, but I would definitely go back to the Road Chef truck again.

The sandwich I had, pork belly bahn mi, was excellent. I am a pork belly fanatic so I definitely was ready to critique.
