Awesome place! Â With many other breweries nearby the quality of the beer from rising tide stood out. Â All of their beers were unique and fresh and the service was personable and friendly. We decided to come here for our first meal in Portland--some of our friends wanted to try some of their draft beers. We were able to get a table of four before half an hour before they closed. They have a safe set-up, with outdoor seating and plenty of space between tables. Masks are required to be worn when not seated at the table. We decided to get two pizzas in addition to the beers. I ordered a light cider that was refreshing and we ordered the Big Mac Pizza and the pizza with banana peppers and pepperoni. Both types of pizza were very different and very good. The Big Mac pizza had ground beef, different types of lettuce, pickles, pickled onions, and some Thousand Island dressing drizzled on top. It was a little sweet and a unique type of pizza. The other type of pizza was more traditional with a red sauce base but also pretty unique with the banana peppers on top. We ordered two pizzas and it was just enough for four people to eat. Service was great, the waitress was very hospitable and friendly. The food and drinks also came out very quickly. Definitely recommend coming here for beers and/or snacks! Also FYI, they don't have any hard liquor drinks so if you don't drink beer or wine, you're a little out of luck. More...

Having experienced the bulk of Maine craft brew tasting rooms now, this turns out to be one of the nastiest. You're sitting on hot asphalt drinking watered down beers that add little to their various types. Their stout is an OK stout. Their ale is an OK ale. Their IPAs are from 1990 recipes. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the vibe at Rising Tide. We shared a flight of beer & ordered the shishito peppers with garlic lime cream and oysters on the 1/2 shell. Oysters were reallllyyy delicious and briny & the peppers were such a nice treat for my boyfriend who doesn't eat seafood. We didn't realize that Portland breweries would be so busy on a weekday evening! Their check-in process was easy breezy- they take your name and phone number, and you can see how many people are before you on the list as well as the estimated wait time. They send you a text when your table is ready and you have 5 minutes to come back, although the hostess said to call if you need more time.They had some unique draft choices, including one made with seawater. They are also trying to get in on the hard seltzer trend so that was an option too. Their food menu had more substance than other breweries (decent pickings and their pizzas could prob feed 2 people). We didn't want to get too full, but we also needed some food in our stomachs while drinking... so we ordered nachos ($9). We waited forever for our nachos. Our lovely waitress took it off our bill, which was awesome because they were definitely overpriced nachos, nothing special. (Sidenote: the husband hates onions so we asked for pico de gallo on the side. The nachos came out with pickled onions on top- the menu didn't mention this little addition. Fantastic brewery! Great beers and even better vibes. It sits right next to Austin St brewing, which is also worth a visit. You can tell how community minded this place is with their easy to follow covid guidelines yet fast and personal service. This is a REALLY CHILL environment! They have high top tables, a bar and an event room. AND in warm weather, a large outside area! They are a brewery, so beer is their thing. They do offer some ciders and wine, as well as non- alcoholic beverages. Snacks are very limited. They allow well behaved dogs and it's definitely a great place to visit with friends for a drink.
