We stay at the Holiday Inn every year & come to Rex's every year. We love seeing the same faces & customer service is on point. Behind the bar, Rebecca is slanging drinks all while making sure the tables in the bar area are taken care of - & greeting and telling customers hello & goodbye. Great experience. Â Server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the entire menu and the evenings specials. Â Food was very good and arrived in timely fashion. Â Restaurant was warm which was appreciated on a very cold night. Â The server did get too busy when seated multiples tables at the same time. Â We asked for a spoon for our person who was eating the pho and she did not bring one. Â When she did get to us, we were almost finished with dinner and she said "I'll be right back with your check". Â She never offered dessert menus and only came back with the check.She was very nice and we really liked her, it's too bad that she was seated so many tables at the same time without receiving extra help to handle it. We have been coming to Steamboat for almost 20 years. We've tried most of the restaurants in town. Today we had a late lunch at Rex's. The food was amazing and the service the best we've had. Rebecca our server made the experience complete! We had the nachos, quesadias, wings & Hawaii 5-0 pizza. All delicious and each made with a unique, yummy twist. And for dessert Rebecca recommended the birthday cake/Gelato parfait. It was a great ending to our feast! Would highly recommend this restaurant. Also the interior is very well done. More...

I cannot say enough about this awesome restaurant! The only thing that was better than the food, was our server/bartender Rebecca! Talk about an a great attitude, she greeted us and accommodated our 3 small children with nothing but a smile! She made sure we were taken care of the entire time and joked around with our kiddos, which they thought she was so funny! The Kids loved their chicken fingers and fries and my husband and I shared the American dipper with, which we LOVED! Thank you for such a great experience all around! More...

AMAZING experience! We were staying next door at the La Quinta, but it was amazing to know it was walking distance and we didn't have to worry about driving. We come from a small town with nothing but a gas station, so, usually, we want to explore and find good eats that we don't usually get to try, like sushi and foreign food styles, but with the calling of a restaurant next door, it seemed much better to just walk next door. I did some review research and found very positive notes for this place, so we were sold.We were all glad we decided on Rex's. The customer service, the food, and the atmosphere was all on point. They originally sat us in the dining area, which I understand because we had our 14 year old son, but we asked if we could sit in the bar area and they - without question - said yes and moved us. Cozy in our new spot, our waitress delivered drinks, took our order, and food. She was super attentive. The manager came out and checked on us - even delivered food - and made sure we were taken care of. We told our waitress our kiddo had a nut allergy - especially when we ordered desert - and I told her we were used to the usual nut-hate from the chef, but no, she came back out and said, "The Chef said we can do the brownie and ice cream with chocolate, but he does not recommend the M&Ms and gummy bears because of cross-contamination." Wow, a chef after my own heart! I couldn't believe that much thought went into ensuring my kiddo was safe. The wing sauce was amazing. The pizza was amazing. The service was amazing.
