Going to Retulled was ABSOLUTELY the best decision for wedding dress shopping. Let me provide some backstory… My fiancé and I are having a very low-key and low-budget wedding. He is still in school and I am a young professional, so we don’t have a lot of money for a “normal-priced” wedding. I was budgeting $300 - $500 for a wedding dress. And let me just say, my first wedding dress experience left me in tears by the end of the day. I went to the Bridal Superstore and David’s Bridal in Indy. I was in shock to discover that the cheapest dress was $700!! I started to rethink whether or not I should even have a wedding because I could not even fathom how I could pay that kind of money - and for just a small part of the wedding at that! After doing lots of research online, I was starting to feel like I was going to have to pony out the big dough or get no dress at all… I found out about Retulled and thought I should give it a try. Everything about my experience at Retulled was perfect and even better than any experience I had at the big box wedding dress retailers! At the other places before, the dresses were not only expensive, but also very unflattering. I couldn’t believe my eyes when every single dress I tried on at Retulled was so lovely and flattering and completely in my price range! One gorgeous dress that was my favorite for a while was even lower than my price range. It got to a point where I was having a difficult time even deciding between four dresses!From start to finish, Amy and Ari were incredible. They are genuinely kindhearted ladies who were so patient with me. They listened to all of my ideas and offered their own suggestions. The dress I ended up deciding on was one Ari picked out specifically for me based on my body shape and preferences even though it was not one I would’ve picked out myself. I tried it on and fell in love with it immediately! Both Amy and Ari are so knowledgeable about what looks good. They clearly knew what looked good on me better than I knew myself! I was worried that I was becoming annoying because I was so indecisive that I had to try dresses on over and over again. They were never bothered for a second and patiently allowed me to process each dress thoroughly. The location itself was so lovely too. It is located in a little pink Victorian-style house that made you feel like you were in a luxury boutique. So many lovely things, cared for and loved and shared... the owners are utterly professional, and terrifically discerning in taking in wedding gowns and formal attire on consignment. They have clear resale policies with generous percentages offered to consignment clients, and they sell items at good prices -- both to sell, and to buy. If you have a beloved wedding gown to sell, or are in the market for a nearly-pristine, affordable gown, I highly recommend visiting Retulled.(Heh. I got a stunning Sophia Tolli gown here and I'm proud to say I paid soooo much less for it than I would have at any conventional bridal store. It fit me perfectly because of the alterations previously done, had a corset back and all kinds of beautiful details. I went to Retulled Boutique on a complete whim as I had other bridal appointments later that day. I absolutely love thrift stores so I thought it was worth a shot. And I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations. Everything was so organized and perfectly laid out. The store owner put so much time and effort making it feel like a real professional boutique and it definitely showed! They had a great selection of gowns from true vintage to newly worn to completed brand new dresses.I ended up saying "yes" to my dress at Retulled! And I could not be more happy. I had such a good time choosing my wedding dress at Retulled Boutique. I moved to Indy from Phoenix last December and I've been eating my feelings about all of the transitioning, so I'm not as svelte as I wanted to be for wedding dress shopping.  That being said, I was dreading it a bit. The appointment process was super easy and handled by email.  I slapped on my waterproof eye makeup and got ready to push through.  I laughed the entire time I was there.  Even though I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, Amy took what little of an idea I had and ran with it.  She was so helpful, she knew where things were and she listened.  She didn't try to push more expensive dresses or try to stretch my budget.  The selection was so much bigger than I anticipated.  The dress I chose needed some slight alterations and Amy highly recommended a local seamstress that was able to work in my tight turnaround time (I procrastinated a little).  If you're looking for a wedding dress (or any special occasion dress, actually), please go to Retulled Boutique.  You'll save a ton of money, you'll feel good about shopping local and if your experience is anything like mine, you'll leave with a smile on your face! Had two great experiences here with my friend!We walked in on a Saturday and she tried on several wedding dresses that she really liked! We came back the next weekend with an appointment and a larger group and she walked away with the perfect dress just in need of some minor alterations!The owner is so nice and helpful, the shop is so cute and easily navigable - three wedding gown rooms downstairs with varying price rates and then vintage dresses upstairs. I visited this shop a few times recently as I was looking for wedding dresses. The first time I stopped in just to see what kind of dresses they had and to check out the place overall. I wasn't sure what to expect from a consignment shop, but I was really impressed! I saw a dress I liked and ended up trying it on that day. The owner was there and was very helpful in showing me the layout of the store and helping me to try the dress on. After that nice experience I came back with my entourage for the official wedding dress shopping day. This was our last stop for the day and after looking at a few other stores I had narrowed my search down a bit to more specific styles. I tried on several and fell in love with one dress. I said yes to the dress! And it was only $150 for the dress of my dreams! This whole experience with them was lovely! Both the owner and the lady who does alterations were there with me during the entire appointment. It was nice because, of course, alterations are needed so I was able to get a quick quote on everything to allow for budgeting. Other than the shopping I also really loved the space they have. It's an older house transformed into bridal shop and they really did a nice job with it. There are dresses for any style or budget also. They have the dresses split into different rooms depending on the price range so you can easily look only within your budget. Also, the dresses I tried on here were absolutely gorgeous! I had on a couple that although the style didn't work for me, I couldn't get over the quality of the fabric. The experience at retulled could not have been better to find my perfect wedding dress. The prices are incredible. This place was absolutely amazing, and the owner was wonderful. I came in a few days before my wedding wanting a slightly nontraditional gown, and with plans for a very nontraditional wedding. I really didn't know much about how to prepare, AND I was without childcare so I had to bring my kids. Despite this (and the fact that she was really busy), the owner was extremely helpful, gave me ideas & helped me figure everything out. She was patient with my daughter, she didn't judge me, she treated me with respect and kindness. They have a lot of beautiful dresses (men's clothing & accessories too) for great prices. I have had excellent luck finding great dresses here! I needed a white gown (whuch means I ended up with a not-so-weddingy wedding gown) as well as a black and white formal, and all my needs were met! They had a big selection of wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, formals, cocktail dresses, and vintage finds. The dresses I purchased were both in wonderful condition and exactly what I was looking for. I've also placed several things on consignment and most of them sold (my wedding dress had a spot on it, so I ended up donating it to Brides Revisited via reTulled). The ladies at reTulled were very helpful and encouraging, they gave honest opinions on everything I tried on, and they made sure to give me the best price possible. The prices were VERY reasonable, especially considering what I'd have paid for them new! My only negative experience was the gentleman there who offered to do my alterations. He was at the shop and recommended by them, though I don't believe he works directly FOR the shop. While he was very nice (especially to my tired-of-shopping kiddos), the job was not done well. I paid him up front, and then for our follow-up appointment he dropped off the dress and did not stay to make sure it was correct, which I found unprofessional, as we had scheduled this in advance. The dress did not fit correctly, and it was too close to the event to try for another appointment with him (as Irvington is about a 30-40 minute drive for me) so I had to pay for alterations AGAIN from another seamstress closer to home. (See my review for The Sewing Lady in Greenwood!)Again, I don't think he's employed directly by the shop, so don't let that deter you from finding your perfect dress there! I was looking for a last minute cocktail dress, so a friend recommended this store. I'd never even heard of it.  It's close to the main drag in Irvington with plenty of nearby parking. I could not believe how many dresses were in the shop!  If you are looking for a wedding dress, you definitely want to check this place out!  Tons and tons of beautiful short and long cocktail dresses. We had a wonderful experience in here today with my daughter shopping for a wedding dress. They were very friendly, patient and helpful. They didn't make us feel rushed, even as they were getting busy. They gave just the right amount of attention to us, without being pushy.
