The presentation is great. Spaghetti sauce is so so.. waitress was very nice but service was lacking. No refills on coffe, had to ask for salt and everything. Here is where there are several issues arise. They HAVE NO DINNERS!. All items are separate! I ordered LINGUINI AND CLAMS.. THE  WAY THIS PLACE DOES IT by combining 2 SEPERATE orders. . First you buy the clams, then you buy the linguini dish! Wtf is that? We came here several years ago. They served soup and salad with the meal.. this place is extremely trendy.. wife ordered spaghetti, i had linguini and clams, 1 coffee, one soda, NO REFILLS FOR 60.00! Plus tip... never again.. The cuisine is exquisite and the drinks are very well made! I also appreciate the lengths Chef O goes to ensure that tables are distanced and that his staff is practicing good PPE practice!

Service was good. Waiter was attentive. However, it was a long time before we got our food. It took about an hour to get our appetizers, and about another 45 minutes before we got the main course. The food was ok... not what I expected for the ratings the restaurant got, nor the price we paid. I understand covid slows a lot of restaurants down, but it is a little ridiculous to wait almost 2 hours to get our food.Edit in response: we did not order 3 courses. Majority of us only ordered an entree, and one in our party ordered some appetizers that we shared. We did not even get everything we ordered when we received our entrees. I understand you are working with less staff. But if you cannot accommodate for dining in, then just don't. It is not acceptable to wait that long for food. More...

A complete and utter disappointment. Whoever was working as the bartender (man)  on 7/17/2020 needs some serious training or should be let go altogether. The service he provided was abysmal. Even after making eye contact with him several times to imply we wanted something, he did nothing. This was a birthday dinner for me and we were prepared to spend a lot of money. Unfortunately for us, and the restaurant frankly, this bartender prevented that. In the 45 mins we sat there the only food that came to us were the raw oysters. Even while tables around us, who came in after us, were receiving their hot food. This is apparently a good place to eat. I liked the Anthony Bourdain memorial that's setup (apparently the restaurant owner was on his show), but the greatest food does not outweigh the worst service. I would likely never go to this restaurant again, even if passing through Coos Bay. More...

I am doing a cross-country road trip, & stayed at Coos Bay today.  I found this little gem walking around the wharf.  Everything was excellent!  Met the chef & he was super cool & friendly.  Server was also friendly.  I am a chef from Colorado, & this was one of the best meals I've had on my trip.  Even got the lobster risotto to go for dinner tonight.  Highly recommend!!! I picked Restaurant O as a surprise to celebrate my sister's birthday. We were seated upstairs with a great view overlooking the water. Our waiter was nice so let's go into the rest of it!We ordered a lot of food! Before our appetizers and tapas came out, we had been waiting quite a long time so they brought out a deliciously fluffy sun-dried tomato focaccia bread that we kind of fought over  SO FLUFFY and lightCheese board - delicious, could've used a few more crackers for the amount of cheese on it but everything on the board was deliciousPiquillo pepper-goat cheese and balsamic bruschetta - one of the best things I ate, loved it!Tuna sashimi and ponzu bruschetta - the people who ate this loved it as well!Smoked Burrata -  I think the presentation was probably better than the burrata; the smoke was so light that you only really got it as an aroma and not really imparted into the cheese which was a little disappointingForgot to add in - the crab cakes! 3/5, we expected them to be a bit better but they were just standard crab cakes.During the tapas/appetizers we were sent an amuse bouche from the chef; a raw salmon, pearl onion, acidic bite of love with a coriander chaser EntreesCrispy Pork Belly (4/5), Spotted Prawn Risotto (x2, 5/5 from each eater), Fettucini Alfredo (my dish, 2/5, we added mushrooms and they were sparse in the dish but overall the alfredo was bland, the fettucini was over cooked and after my husband tried it and agreed, only 5 bites were taken. I guess the positive of it would be the portion size was quite large), Filet Mignon (5/5)Desserts - we are all suckers for dessert so we ordered a few as well. Strawberry and Raspberry gelato, Trio of Crème Brûlée(passionfruit amazing, ginger green tea was amazing for those who ate it and lemongrass which was subtle and delicious), and Cold Pressed Olive Oil and Chocolate Mousse with coconut milk sorbet, chocolate shavings, raspberry liqueur jelly, and a smear trio of sauces (decadent and again, delicious!)Oh and we also ordered a violet-strawberry tonic drink and it was A+! So good that another person ordered it as well.I recommend Restaurant O if you want some decadent, delicious food with a great view More...

Chef O'Neill is truly a master and a wonderful human. This was our first experience at Restaurant O and I would gladly make another 6 hour trip from Vancouver Wa to have a meal there. We contacted Restaurant O a few days before and opted for a six course tasting menu with the wine pairing. Coleman was our maître d' and he performed admirably. Every course that arrived was prepared beautifully and had an incredible explanation of the meal we were about to receive along with the wine that has been paired with it. For the rest of my family, they ordered from the menu and they were served by Ethan who also took very good care of them. Towards the end of the male chef Owen was able to break away and come visit with us and make sure that everything was to our liking. He was an incredibly kind and gracious host and prepared every meal with an incredible amount of love. His Michelin rating speaks volumes of his character as well as his mastery of the culinary arts. Thank you again Chef O'Neill, Coleman, Ethan and the rest of the staff. More...

We found ourselves searching for dinner after 7 PM along the Oregon coast.  To our surprise, nearly every eatery was closed.  We went to Yelp and Restaurant O was the first place we saw.  THANK GOD IT WAS!!!  This was by far the best meal we've had in over a year.  The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was spot on for the meal and the food was world class.  If you're ever in Coos Bay, Oregon (or within a few hundred miles) and you want a culinary experience with a Michelin Star rated master chef, stop in to see Chef O'Neil and his team. I was passing through Coos Bay on a COVID-19 road trip from Canada to San Francisco. I wanted a dinner that I could pick up curb side, as little contact as possible. I ordered the lasagne from Restaurant O. It was fresh and delicious, and ready when I was told it would be, and came complete with disposable utensils. This is my only experience, but it has been an excellent one. More...

Our first time visit to the restaurant. The appetizers are delicious. However for entrée, we ordered the lobster and asparagus risotto and the lobster was raw inside. We informed the server. She said she will let the chef know about this. Instead of informing the chef, she went and disposed the food and did nothing about it. The service is poor. More...

Ive been here twice now.  Once after they first opened and it was still busy and exciting and new and once for takeout this weekend.  The first time was pretty good, although very clear this place doesn't make sense in Coos Bay.  We overlooked the inattentive service due to it being busy-ish.  The prices, the style, the decor all don't make sense for the Coos Bay scene.  This weekend the staff all seemed so confused and couldn't even figure out how to get our takeout order correct.  (Which we had ordered and paid for in advance)  Nice enough, but clearly need more training on customer service and the simple process of getting people their food.  The takeout orders - which they were promoting due to circumstances of Covid - were a disaster.  A crispy pork belly dinner with a few tiny pieces of pork belly and filled with mashed potatoes and vegetables- reminded me of something you'd see at IHOP or Shari's.  The salmon dinner was nice enough - nothing fancy - with white rice and a few pieces of soggy bok choy - was leaking everywhere with a pretty basic sauce.Great potential and excited initially to see a new restaurant in this area, but overall not worth the price or the hassle of the confusing service. I live in CA. My brother's birthday was coming up so I decided to order him a surprise dinner from Restaurant O. I see that they do free delivery within 5 miles and he lives like 3 mins away. Coleman took my order and boy did he delivered! I ordered the Chef's Ocean surprise and he threw in a free dessert for him. How awesome is that? I'm glad my brother took a pic of it before he devoured it. He said it was so good and everything was so fresh! I'm drooling just looking at the pic. The next time we visit him in Coos Bay, we will definitely have dinner there. Shout out to Tracy for delivering the food! More...

3-7-20 we came here for a birthday dinner. There was 12 of us. Arrived at 6 pm. They didn't take out orders until 6:45ish. We didn't get our meals until 730- 745ish. Talk about SLOOOW. And we were the only ones there.. 2 of us ordered the lasagna. It was horrible. The bottom was like cardboard and it was way over cooked. I couldnt finish it. We ended up getting sick the next 2 days. Yes, I blame it this. One ordered the risotto venere with aspagus and orange air It was mostly bubbles with very little rice. Not that good either. One ordered the chef ocean surprise and boy that was a surprise. For $30 bucks you get very little and I didn't see any veggies on that plate. Hmmm. And, to top it all off, they charged us a 20% SERVICE FEE!!! Now, I'm a really good tipper and I don't mind paying for good service but you guys just plan suck! We wont be back. Over all, giving you guys 1 star was being generous. More...

Went in on a Saturday night. Service was FANTASTIC.   Attentive but not nosy.  Food was good, not great.  The crispy pork belly was over cooked.  Flavor was good, just too much on the crispy.  I had the steak and the flavor was in the bland side.  Nothing was bad, not in the least.  Just felt it was a touch of let down.  We will try it again though as the setting/service was top notch!
