I feel like I won the lottery last night. I was at the debut for Red Force 1, the most innovative food experience this foodie has experience. Surrounded by the allure of Game 3 of the World Series for our local Nationals team was this mobile machine of food and entertainment. With 2 TVs, a state of the art pizza oven, rib smoker, grill top, 3 fryers and some other doodads I am leaving out because of senility and the recovery of a wonderful .food coma. The food was brought out in stages while Red and his brother Justin interacted with their customers/friends. Everything was delicious, and if I wasn't full I would have ate more of their version of the jalapeno popper they call Texas Twinkies - a bacon wrapped jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese and cheddar and spices. I have tried the ones with brisket inside and those are insanely great too. From the ribs to the brisket to the pizza, it was awesome. Even the cheeseburgers were juicy bites of heaven. Plus the hosts were better than you would ever expect from a dining experience. Well done! More...

Let me just say....for a family who never gets or makes BBQ, we will be eating at his restaurant maybe a little too frequently Not only was the food AMAZING (like seriously, flavor on point, bomb coleslaw, melt-in-yo-mouth-meat, yummy pickles. ....i could go on), but Red is such a giving, kind and genuine person who truly knows what it means to be a foodie and chef. You could taste the passion in the food Red makes. We had pulled chicken, texas brisket, potato salad, a lightly dressed yet addicting coleslaw, and pickled onions! Red also treated us to his homemade recipe: Texas Twinkies....aka the best jalapeño poppers in the planet filled with 2 types of cheese and brisket wrapped in bacon and grilled! If you ever want BBQ food for an event or anything else, I honestly couldn't recommend Red's more! It will be worth your money! More...

The best brisket and pulled pork I've had in a very long time. The brisket was so moist, tender and flavorful, it basically melted in my mouth. The pulled pork was very tasty with a smokey flavor. It too was very moist and tender. I loved it so much I had 2 pulled pork sandwiches AND ate some by itself just with BBQ sauce. This is the place to go for all of your BBQ needs. More...

If you are a fan of baby back ribs, burgers, and pulled pork sandwiches, this place is a must try! The baby back ribs is tender and moist. The flavor profile is sweet and tangy with a small kick. Seriously, this rib is addictive. My 3.5 year old who is not usually interested in meat and is definitely afraid of spicy cannot stop eating this. My favorite has always been pulled pork sandwiches. I have to order this whenever we go out for BBQ. Red's pulled pork sandwich with Carolina Gold sauce delivers! Frankly, the pulled pork has so much flavor on its own. I eat it without the sauce. Take the time and chat with Jason. He is so passionate and proud of his BBQ, he will be glad to give you a lesson or two on how to look for the great BBQ. Well, I tell ya, that was the best burger I have had in a very long time. I paired the burger up with good home made garlic French fries and this was the best burger and fries you can get in the DC metro area! How good you may ask? I recently tried dogfish head’s smoked burger version in Rehoboth Beach, DE and Red’s BBQ is superior! Also recently tried Gorilla burger in Palm Springs, CA over the holidays that was featured on Diners, drive ins and Dives (aka triple D), and Red’s is the clear best burger winner! Hubby and I ordered the pulled pork sandwiches w/ tangy BBQ sauce this weekend. Fantastic! Served with side of light & crunchy (vinegar) based coleslaw and chips. So freaking tasty! I ordered the half rack of ribs for son....he devoured them. They were PHENOMENAL! Next time I’ll need the full rack...cause he was looking for more.
