Parking lot available and the park is really big! It's quite clean, minimal grass in some spots. It's mostly sand. They do have two drinking fountains in the big park. There's a bit of shade from the trees. NOTE: The park is closed until noon on Wednesdays!!!!!!!!!!! which was of course the day I decided to visit so I had to wait an hour around to go in. No one ever came to move the sign though so it blocked the parking lot entrance. Pretty nice park overall although I had trouble getting to the entrance based on my Google directions. More...

We go to the park every weekend. It's very large and they have a small dog area too. Some people still bring their small dogs into the large dog area, stupid idea imo but not my dog not my problem. Special note: Pitt bulls are friendly cuddle lap dogs, dont discriminate. Also, aussie dogs are herding dogs. It is in their nature to bark and nip as they play because they think everything that moves is a sheep.Please be respectful and courteous to others, your dog is not the only dog at the park. Surprisingly HUGE!!Even with some poorly behaved dogs there that would try and attack our guy having fun, we found some easy space to run and play! ! It's obvious that going to public places will have some different types of dogs and people, but it genuinely feels great to have some space in LA to even get the chance to remove yourself to a new situation within the same area!Thankful for a place for our guy to be off leash!! Both a large dog and small dog park. Lots of space for running and throwing balls. There isnt much shade so if you go in the summer, go in the morning when it's not as hot.

Lots of space, plenty of water fountains, trash cans, and benches. Mostly sand, with some grass and trees towards the back. A lot of tennis balls laying around like they're part of the park. Dogs are mostly friendly and well-behaved. There is a section specifically for small dogs, but I've seen dogs of all sizes in the main part of the park. Win tonight with my cousin Dorena she lives in Lawndale. It was late and almost getting dark and the dogs got to run around by themselves playing with each other it was great because they kept each other occupied and we just kept throwing the ball and we were able to talk about all things new things yada yada yada.

Big open area that is kept pretty clean considering the traffic. Small dog and big dog fenced areas. People here are nice and friendly and so are the dogs I've seen.

The pier area is surrounded by restaurants specializing in seafood, especially crab and lobster. You can pick one out of a tank and they will cook it for you on the spot. It was packed on the day we were there with long lines. (I have to say that personally I could never do that as I could never eat something that I saw living) Anyway it is a popular place to go and you can go on a boat ride, whale watching ride, or just look at all the boats moored there.
