Working with Film Connection is great. I get a lot of hands on time with my mentor. I love it a lot.Going to different shoots is a lot of fun I learn so much and then once we are done shooting I get to go and edited the video which I like. Everybody is really helpful and my Student Adviser is always there if I have any question. The program is only 6 months and it works great with my schedule. The tuition is great I don't have to pay a lot all at once. I can but I chose to do payments which is not to bad. After I am done with the program I plan on going to Georgia to further my career in the film industry. I want to learn more then just film editing. I want to learn more about different stages in film. I love that I can work hands on because I work better that way then just sitting in a classroom and not doing a lot hands on work. Working with the industry is a lot of fun you go on shoots a lot and when you are not shooting you are editing. I work on my E book which is really easy and teaches me a lot about film and what it is all about and the quizzes are not hard at all. Learning with Film Connection is the best think that I have ever done. I Love It! More...

I was one of the producers on a TV Pilot that was filming in both Los Angeles and Reno, Nevada. This was quite an ambitious shoot and we needed all the extra hands we could get to assist. I did my due diligence and research, and found the Recording Radio Film Connection. I reached out to the program and connected with Gervais Maillard, the Lead Career Services Advisor, who could not have been more helpful and efficient. Gervais understood the exact type of production assistant help our TV shoot required, and sent us over information on several students who expressed interest in assisting with our project, so I could vet them immediately. The best part was that I had originally reached out seeking help in Reno, but ended up with wonderful PA help in LA, as well! And, just when I thought it could not get any better, one of our skilled assistants in Reno stepped in to help G&E and to grip for us one day. Truly the best part for me was receiving messages when we wrapped production, thanking us for changing their lives and that they were grateful to put their Film Connection training into practice on a real Hollywood film set! Thank you for your services and I will be back for our next production!Best,Brooke Lewis Bellas More...

It was so great experience with RRFC , the mentor Richard Brandes is an amazing guy and he is always been good positive support for me to come up with great vision of screenwriting. Even though I was torturing him a lot with stupid questions but still he tolerated me ask more and more questions. If you want to be a screenwriter writer and if you are getting Richard as your mentor it will be a great success for you. The assistance from the school was great too, they always keep on calling to know how I am doing and how the classes are going on and always try to help me to find out ways to explore more. It is an affordable Tution fee for a middle class family and easy to pay off as well. More...

This review I meant to post for a while now because my Mom saw a few (not many) negative reviews on this site. Look, The Recording Connection was not perfect (what school is ) but it was really cool. What I mean by cool is that they got me into a real recording studio (that I had my eye on and could not get into myself) a pro studio and i was an apprentice. Meaning I learned from a PRO Music Producer named Patrick ******. Okay so here is the deal. Patrick works with Skrillex, Cold War Kids, Tiesto, The Killers, Churches, Cage the Elephant (in other words real acts) and many many more. Patrick my mentor let me sit in with him in these sessions. And then he gave me tons of time where he taught me from the curiculum. The Recording Connection also helped with with their tutors. But here is the deal. This program doesn't work for the dummies out there. I am sorry to say that but I saw tons of people not show up, or get frustrated and quit or lose focus. That is not the Recording Connection's fault. This school is different and it is unique. I am working today in the business b/c of Patrick ****** and The recording connection and if anyone wants to call me an talk to me, i will talk them. The music business is not for the faint of heart, it is for the hard working. Anyone complaining about a school that gets you in the door with people like Patrick to learn in a real studio and then whine, they probably just are not cut out for the business to begin with. I turned my best friend in Philly onto this program. He loves it too. Dope. **** More...

I decided on Film Connection because it felt like it would help me get immersed in the industry. I though it was an amazing opportunity so I just sought after it. This program definitely gave me those opportunities to make those connections happen. My mentor was great. He gave me insights into the business, the industry, things I should work on. Then he would tell me stories of what to expect when it comes to shoot, even on shorts or on big features. He gave me a lot of insight I didn't really know about the business beforehand. If I had any questions he'd answer them and then sometimes he would hook me up on dates with short films that maybe need PA work or something I might be pursuing in. I wanted to pursue directing, so my mentor gave me a lot of opportunities to go on sets, work with the director or with other positions to give myself other knowledge andexperience. I also got to work on my own shorts where he helped out a lot because as producer and actor, well especially the producer part, he knows the whole rundown. How much things cost, who to get, he really helps you to figure all of that out and to build connections so when you do want to make another short film you can rely on those people who can also rely on you, all through my mentor's help. So it's really a nice web that he creates, or any mentor can create.Since graduating, I'm going to be directing a short film for a student whose actually producing a couple of films, short films. So I'm definitely still working and my mentor keeps feeding me opportunities as they come up. There should always be something coming up soon, which I'll be on that one which is going to be very exciting. More...
