They moved to a better location with more parking spaces. The place is very clean and quiet. Kathy has always been wonderful and very friendly since I've been getting my massages for more than a year. Renee is amazing. She really took care of me and focused on the areas that I told her that were hurting the most. I am so glad that they're open on the weekends too. I love their new location! It has a bigger parking lot and on the first floor. No more stairs to climb up on. It's nice and clean and has the look of a spa. Although they have a smaller waiting room, they have a bigger massage room and bigger massage table with comfortable face pillow. I wouldn't feel like I'm going to fall off the table when I get my stretches. The other difference with this new location is that they only have thicker curtains for privacy and not a door. I can hear someone snoring in the other room. Kathy, the owner, is very friendly and very nice. She explained to me the reason for not having the door due to stricter permit rules in Northridge than Canoga Park which I totally understand. Â As for the massage therapist, Renee is amazing as usual. She's really good with deep tissue massage and digs into my knots without hurting me. Â I don't feel sore after and I just feel good and with less pain. Â With the current pandemic situation and surge in cases, I feel safe going here since they ask for your vaccination card which is really good and they clean and sanitize after each clients. Rafoles has MOVED! They moved to Northridge, CA near Dignity Hospital. I just went today to the new location and LOVE IT!! The moment you walk inside, it's peaceful and beautiful! It feels like a spa when you walk inside. Temperature controlled to be a comfortable experience and so accommodating! I've gone to Rafole's for a while now at the old location and was so excited to hear about the new location. GRAND OPENING SPECIAL - If you contact Rafole's they are having a GRAND OPENING special right now! Kathy is amazing and so friendly. I always get Lisa who always does the perfect massage for me. So excited for the new location of Rafaole! The interior is all new, clean, and spa-esque. The oversized tables are sturdy and amazing. I'm just not comfortable with the flimsy tables at some locations, being a bit oversized myself. The linens are clean and cover every inch of the table, including the face hole. I'm always wary of how many people have their face in the face hole, and now it is completely covered/sanitary. There are so many well thought out touches, including the memory foam face pad, which is 100% more comfortable than the gel pad. There's plenty of parking, and now on the first floor Rafaole is super convenient. Massage quality is the same hidden neighborhood gem! They are skilled, talented, professional, and deserve every bit of respect and praise. It's just all around an amazing experience. Went to see my favorite masseuse, and I left feeling like I came back from a vacation. After all, the massage experience is all about the massage therapist, so it's great that these added luxuries come with my favorite masseuses from the old location! Amazing Thai massage, clean tranquil environment, & the staff is so so friendly & amazing at their craft of massage. Me and my fiancé make it a priority to come at least once a month and it's so needed to release stress & tension.I always get my massages with Lucy - she is literally an Angel! I've been in this massage salon more than 5 times, before and after covid. They provide good service. The environment is clean. The only thing that is very weird in this salon is tip. They put a sticker everywhere on walls and calculated for your the amount of the tip you should pay like 60 minutes $20 or 90 minutes $30 which is a lot! My wife and me were in this salon yesterday. We were the last customers. After having massage and paying $178 the fee and $50 tip, the ladies began to laugh rudely and showing the $50 bill to me and each other like it's nothing. We were surprise of what they are doing! It was very rude and impolite behavior of them although I believe we have paid too much tip for the service. All the other glowing reviews are right. I've been coming here for years. These are some of the best massages I have ever had -- including from high end spas across the country. I used to go once a month to see Paula; she's no longer there. I went to see YaYa yesterday for deep tissue. She's wonderful. I saw the reviews, so I went in. Made an appointment at 8 o'clock when I got there at 8 pm, they took my money; Â $59 for cash and $65 for debit or credit. I opted for the cash, which is still too much for Thai massage. Then I waited in the room for 10 to 12 minutes before the masseuse came in. So the massage started at 12 after. When the massage was over, and I was driving in my car about halfway home (a ten-minute ride), I looked at the time, and it was only 9:05. So they stiffed me for about 10 minutes or so. And since they overcharge there; to me, that's just bad business. The lady I had, Mary or Mari. She didn't listen to what I told her I wanted. She just did her standard massage; when I told her I needed specific areas, she worked on them for no particularly long amount of time; she just proceeded with the general massage. As she was walking on my back, she wore socks, and even though there was a sheet covering my body, I could still feel moisture as she stepped on my back. (sweaty feet) So I had to give this place two stars to bring them down a notch because it's not that great of a business. Especially for that price. I was finally able to return to this wonderful business and I am so happy! So grateful they survived covid lockdown and are still running. I've said it once and I'll say it again. This is the best massage I've ever gotten, by a lot. I've even gotten $300 spa massage that couldn't hold a candle. The facility is very relaxing and clean. The masseuse, Lisa, was able to find all the parts of my body that needed the tension massaged out. I've been going here for a few years now. I absolutely love this place! I've tried a few different places in the area and to be completely honest - none of them match Rafole's. They are so nice, friendly and excellent at massages! I love the hot stones included and the stretching! Most places I've been to charge extra for hot stones, stretching, etc. This place, they charge all of it in one price, ONE AFFORDABLE PRICE! My dad went to a massage place recently and he tipped $20 for an hour massage, the lady looked at him and said "that's not enough" he gave her more money and said he would not be coming back. (definitely not Rafole's!)At Rafole- they have never, NEVER asked me for more tip. Sometimes I can't tip very well as much as I want (due to low income), but I try to tip as much as I can without breaking the bank. But I always return and when I do have money to tip well, they love it! They're very appreciative, and I get it, it's their income! In fact they are very humble and so very nice. My husband and I went here for the first time today. He was having back pain so they suggested a deep tissue massage for him and I wanted something more relaxing so I went for the Swedish. We were both extremely satisfied with the massages. You can't tell from the outside but the inside is pretty nice and has a nice smell and relaxing ambiance. The hot stones were totally WOW. Had a massage with Kathy. I have been coming to this place from past 10 years. I am so covid cautious and I felt completely safe! When i open the door , what I see is beautiful,clean,new and spotless. Â They took my temp and she was wearing a face mask all the time and before starting with the massage.The room was sanitized and super cozy. Â The massage was unforgattable and relaxing.Now i am the fan of Rafole and forever client for them! Had a massage with Edie..this place was beyond my expectations! Edie took the time to assess my problem areas and knew exactly what needed to be worked on without me even telling her. I wanted a Swedish massage, but she advised me that I needed a deeper massageAfter, I was teary-eyed not only from how amazing the massage was, but also from having someone being so genuine and using their knowledge to work on what I needed most. They now have a forever client! The receptionist who was also maybe the manager or even the owner, was sweet as can be and very accommodating.
