We booked Rachel last year for our May wedding and did our engagement photos  ( last Nov.) with her as well. Let me tell you we LOVED our engagement photos and we were so excited for what she would capture for our wedding. She did not disappoint! Three weeks later and I'm still obsessing over the wedding album she sent us! She did an amazing job. One of my biggest tips for new parents is to splurge for professional family photos, and you will not be going wrong if you get those photos shot by Rachel!  We have used a few different photographers in the area and have great experience with all but Rachel just had a particular laid back style that I liked a lot.  She also met us where we wanted to do our photos (a 40 minute drive away) and when we got them back I was BLOWN AWAY!  I like to think that I have an attractive family but she somehow made us shine even brighter!  I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND Rachel to anyone who needs a photographer. I met Rachel at a bridal faire and felt connected with her right away - she has a warm and friendly personality. Even though I already had a photographer booked for my wedding photos when we met, once she told me she also does boudoir (among others like family and baby photography), I knew I would feel comfortable in front of her camera. You kinda need that trusting vibe right away, and I had no hesitations with Rachel. I must've emailed her a dozen times in preparation for this shoot. Her response time was quick, and I never felt like a bother to her.The day of the shoot was also better than I expected. Rachel's studio is absolutely amazing. Rachel is AMAZING! Our wedding party was a little on the crazy side but she was extremely patient and made it fun and kept me calm lol. We haven't got our photos yet but the few I saw the day of the wedding were PERFECT, we can't wait to see all of them! And to think we almost didn't have a photographer!? She was so great!! We had a great time doing our engagement photo shoot. The day of our photo shoot it started snowing really hard (which is what we wanted) and she was willing and able to navigate through the snow to capture the best photos. Rachel is awesome!! Through out the inquiry stage, she responded to me very quick and even gave me lots of ideas on finding out great photo spot and recommended me a great make up artist. I wanted to take a snow maternity photos so bad (it did not has a lot of snow in Feb) and she's being flexible to let me wait for the snow before I confirm the date with her. Her extreme friendly personality made the photo taking session went smooth and fun. My husband and I are not good at posting and are a little shy in front of the camera, but she helped to make us feel comfortable. The photos looks fantastic, it's definitely what I have been looking for. She gave us tons of photos with great editing, and she finishes within 2 weeks. I can't tell you how pleased I was with my maternity shoot. She killed it!! I am not really photogenic & I'm pretty shy but the pictures were amazing! ! She is so nice & makes you feel really comfortable. She supplied a maternity dress & a props. It's summer, I prepared myself to not get my photos for weeks. She had them ready in a week and a half!! My fiance and I spoke with several photographers, and after we first spoke with Rachel, we knew we had found our match. Her upbeat positive attitude was apparent through simple conversation. We liked and appreciated how responsive she was in communication. We are grateful she encouraged us to take engagement photos. She knew the perfect location for us to tell our story. She spent an entire afternoon with us and was so patient with us goofy goobers who are not use to being photographed. It was on the day of our wedding (June 10, 2017) that we were truly blown away by her. Our wedding coordinator was extremely disorganized and inexperienced. I hired Rachel as our wedding photographer July 15th 2016 at The Ridge. We also had engagement photos back in February. I found her on Yelp! Rachel is sweet and bubbly and will actually go through the 100s of Pinterest pictures u send her as inspiration lol! I couldn't be happier with all of our wedding pictures! They are just stunning! Rachel has the eye for perfect locations! I'm in love with all our photos in the meadow before our ceremony! Thank you so much!!!The only negative I would say is I don't like any of the actual "first look" photos because she instructed me to hold my wedding dress up so it wouldn't get dirty in the meadow. I wish we would of taken more time to place my dress for these photos instead of half my leg showing in all of them and my hands not free to truly hug my husband. Writing this review a bit late as we took our photos in February 2016 but I'm only putting together our scrapbook now and remembered that I had been meaning to write a review!  Rachel was very sweet and accommodating of our group.  We had multiple families coming together for a vacation in Tahoe and five children (four under 3 years old) to manage.  She was patient and understood that our schedule was a bit uncertain due to naps, jet lag, cold weather issues, etc.  In the end we ended up with GORGEOUS photos and great memories.  I would highly recommend her! Rachel just sent us photos she took of me, my husband and three dogs. We are in love! So much beauty, and you'd never know that we were extremely stressed out trying to get the three dogs to behave! It looks like we are just the most perfect family when you look at these. Rachel was so professional, easy to work with, open to suggestions and wasn't a stickler about time either. We paid her for an hour but I get the feeling she doesn't care about that as long as her clients are happy and the moments are captured. Which they definitely were!! I was actually a little bit disappointed with our wedding photos (not taken by Rachel) so this was a nice follow up to that and almost feel like engagement photos even though we've been married for over a year! Rachel is fantastic! She did both our engagement pictures and our wedding day pictures. We don't live in the area and so didn't have any recommendations from anyone on photography in South Lake but found her through search and have never looked back! Rachel is amazing! I loved my wedding photos so much that I called her when I needed maternity, newborn and family photos as well.
