Q on Bay offers a unique atmosphere and from scratch food. We are a full service bbq restaurant and bar. We offer steak, seafood, and vegetarian options, so there is something for everyone. We have three separate spaces that work for any kind of event from casual to formal.

Our party of six sat down and ordered drinks, they were out of lemonade and out of Powerade. When we start ordering our lunch selections, we were told they were out of brisket, ribs, mac and cheese and burnt ends. We decided to leave and were pretty disappointed they charged us for our drinks. We did have a swallow or two so no big deal but can definitely see why there are so many bad reviews. On April 30th my daughter got married on Hunting Island and we came back to Q on Bay for a small reception I could not have asked for anything to be better. Chris and his staff were amazing, the food was amazing, and the service was great. I highly recommend this restaurant and their staff. I desperately want to change this review. But the last two time we have been here it's been nothing but rude. Today the waitress was extremely rude when we jokingly apologized for moving a table for everyone to be able to see the water. Before we could even order she rudely yelled that she would only serve customers, stormed away and dropped her items. We had decided to drink and eat there long before she approached us and had zero chance to even say anything beyond apologizing for moving the table. Upon ordering all she could say was "oh you decided to order?" No apology, nothing. I honestly don't know if I'll be back at this point. There are much more hospitable waitresses elsewhere. I have been to bars in Detroit, California, Las Vegas and Florida Ect... Never in my life did I get the attention and feeling of welcome that I got from Chloie in any bar around the country! !! Chloie had great insight to local food and drink locations that any visitor NEEDS TO HAVE! She also was able to recommend beaches and shops as well that we're excellent! After visiting every bar in town it was CLEAR she was the best bartender in town! She is a true gem of Beaufort South Carolina!!! Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations we're not only stellar but satisfied all of or cravings! She even made us a drink called the ”Sour Scotty” which Andrew Murray Scott Murray and I all think should be placed on the menu! We cannot express enough how grateful we are to have had such an awesome bartender/server help us! She made our first visit to Beaufort truly that much better! Ashley was also one of the best servers we have had and met chloies energy and also made us feel so welcome with excellent recommendations but unfortunately we didn't get to spend as much time with her! The service of these two young women not only met expectations but greatly exceeded them. They knew how to make outsiders feel not only welcome but at home... We would recommend your restaurant to anyone on God's green earth because of the hospitality of these two young ladies! We can't not wait to be back in a couple months!!! We come here a cpl times a year. Usually we are very satisfied with the food. However last night I can’t say this. The bbq was well simply said awful. It was dry, tough and little to no flavor. Worse dining experience ever! with all the restaurants just opening up you would think they would be happy to have local costumers coming back to line their pockets. service was very poor and we never got food! took 15 mins to get anything to drink, then we were informed they were out of everything we ordered, so we ask what we could order and was told only fries and cheese sticks. so we ask for our tabs (which were wrong), paid the server cash (waiting on change). some dude with 4 liquor glasses (I guess servers boyfriend) came to our table threw money down and said get out I am paying your tab. Saud we were rude to the server! all we did was ask what we could order? maybe he was being a big shot to show off in front of her or maybe 4 glasses were too many! maybe it was because we were on motorcycles and wearing Harley Davidson shirts. will never go back and will tell all our friends to tell their to tell theirs and so on to NEVER eat at Q on the Bay!
