Seriously - hands down, the best DJ I have ever seen at an event - ever. We had a destination wedding at Hammock Beach Resort on Aug 23, 2109 (we live in London, UK and organised everything from here). One of the things that we really loved about Pyramid was that they were so easy to deal with and knew exactly what they were doing. As Vern said to me in one of his initial emails, "We do not DJ as a hobby on the weekends when our regular 9-5 weekday jobs are over, we do this full time, professionally." Honestly, that is what sold us - having someone with great reviews that clearly knew what they were doing whilst managing to be cost effective was exactly what we wanted. We have been to hundreds of events, including weddings, and we knew how important it was to have a good DJ. (There is nothing worse than going to an event where nobody is dancing because the music isn't flowing, the lighting isn't right and all the MC does is yell 'come on come on' to an empty dance floor all night long.) Be assured that Pyramid will make sure the above never happens. Vern was the DJ (and MC) for our wedding (ceremony and reception) and he made sure everything was flawless and that the party was nonstop!!! Pyramid is totally set up to be user friendly, from being able to pick our own playlist online to the online event timeline forms to incredibly quick email responses, it really made planning this aspect of our wedding easy. Vern played classical music while people were sitting down for the ceremony and made sure the officiant had a microphone so that everyone could hear. He liaised with our classical musicians who were there to play live during the processional to make sure that everything was perfectly timed and he played the song I wanted for my walk down the aisle. After the ceremony was over, Vern moved to our reception location and started playing the perfect cocktail music followed by dinner music followed by all the party tunes we'd requested! In terms of an MC, Vern was fantastic, he knew exactly when to speak up so that he could help keep our event timeline unfolding as we had envisioned and he was so kind and personable so we never felt weird about asking him to say one thing or another if we needed him to. Vern was happy to take some song requests from our guests and mix them into the playlist that we had already chosen and he really helped to get the party started by getting out on the dance floor and showing us all how to do the 'Cuban Shuffle' (sounds cheesy I know but everyone loved it and are still raving about it). As for cost, Pyramid was the most competitively priced company that I found in the area and no doubt did a better job than the more expensive companies. Vern came with all the lighting, awesome sound system, microphones, etc and even had uplights to rent to us if we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pyramid to anyone for any scale of event, they will make sure you feel completely at ease and will make sure your guests go home talking about how great the music and party was. Pyramid DJs were on the list of the venues preferred vendors and after our wedding, we can see why. Most of our contact with the company was through the owner Vern.
He was very pleasant and professional when going through our very specific music for our medieval themed wedding and other music requests.
Our DJ at the wedding was DJ Mike and boy did he keep the dance floor alive all night! Some of our friends and family are definitely more introverted but when the DJ gets out onto the dance floor wearing his medieval Jester hat, who can refuse to jump in there and dance with him?
Mike was great with taking requests from our guests, always quick to find their song. Extra credit to him dealing with my sister who loves 80s music and probably requested half the nights music, as well as him catering to the wide age gap in the crowd.
Overall I would definitely recommend Pyramid DJs. Their prices are a steal for the quality and friendliness of their DJs.

My husband and I were married on March 10th, 2018 and we had Pyramid Dj Mike at our wedding. Mike is so awesome and a blast!
! Our crowd is very low key but he kept us going until the end. He was so helpful with guiding us through our evening and the timeline of our reception. We chatted about our wedding prior to meeting and when he showed up and began, he did everything we wanted him to do and more! We aren't really dancers but get got us out there and we had a blast!
During the planning process, using their website is so easy and fun to use. We created our timeline with songs we wanted for specific things and Mike even suggested songs during times we didn't even think of!! I have to say that Pyramid DJ's goes above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was fun and flawless.

Mike did a great job at our wedding! Pyramid DJs was VERY flexible with us. At first, we had only requested their service for the 5 hour reception. Then we decided to have them do the ceremony and be on "stand-by" for our cocktail hour in case the musician was a no show. They were willing to do this for us and only charged for the cocktail hour if their services were used. Their online system for filling out specific songs was super easy. Mike even went out of his way to get special permission from Disney to play certain songs that we had requested. We had some people say that the ceremony was difficult to hear, but we were outside just off the ocean where the wind was blowing hard. All the songs we chose were played at the correct time. Mike kept the dance floor full until 11pm! Several people complemented us on the DJ after the wedding. Mike was involved in our ceremony just the right amount. He would dance on the dance floor with our guests, he lead many of the line dances, but didn't overstep any boundaries. He kept the party alive but remained professional throughout. If you have a wedding planner just let them know so you can keep the wedding going at your own pace. The DJ will take charge of keeping things going if needed though. My daugher was married at Hammock Beach resort 5/27/12 during Tropical Storm Beryl even though the wedding and reception had to be moved indoors due to the approaching storm, we never noticed the weather because our DJ was absolutely fantastic and it was a great evening!

Pyramid DJs was amazing to work with. We started out working with Vern and selecting our music with him, and Eric DJed our wedding. Eric was fantastic as well. He worked with my maid of honor to surprise me, she sang her toast to me. And he accomodated every little request I had and I am very grateful for that. The only issue I had is they lost the check for the payment, so when I turned my phone back on after our plane landed from the honeymoon I had 2 messages asking for a new check.
