A wedding day should be special and music is such a big part of that. Not only did Steve take the time to meet up with me and my husband a few times to go over what music we wanted to have played at our wedding reception. he had everything we wanted and if he didn't he got it. He had the best energy for my kind of party. If ur trying to figure out what dj to go with for a special event I'd say go with Steve and you won't be disappointed.. More...

Q&As

Playing the correct music for the crowd and the timing be proper for the moment to play that correct music. As well as having an upbeat generally happy attitude while working the crowd/event.

My style is sometimes really eclectic. I do for the most part like to get a meeting in advance with the clients to really get what they listen to and like on a regular basis. I know thats a little difficult given the current after-effects of the pandemic. To my surprise though. For weddings. couples curate the music to what everyone or what they think everyone else would generally like. I never understood that, seeing as though it is their wedding. I have had some weddings in the past. Where the planner or Bride and groom. Literally, curate the whole night of music and have had a whole printout of what and when to play the songs. That actually works out really nicely. Leaving the room to freestyle a bit or take requests.

Playing music for people. Showing someone a song for the first time. It's amazing what a song can do for someone.

I got sick of scam companies, sub-contracting me, and leaving me to hang out to dry. giving me no details or the wrong details. Not providing the correct equipment or details on the correct equipment the customer requested or thought they were getting. Them having no remorse for taking the customer's money and not delivering a satisfactory event or work environment for the people they subcontract. Also having to chase down the companies who sub-contract DJs to get paid was a nightmare. So I decided to start my own fully insured official LLC. So I could provide the customer with the best most transparent experience I could provide and have nobody to blame other than myself. If I fell short.

At Put Pause Up will do everything in our power to get all the info and make sure the client knows exactly what they're getting from the start. We can work out every song at every moment. If the client so desires. Or we can pick and choose the songs if the client prefers a more hands-off approach on their end. As well as making sure all of our DJs are trained in the newest tech and most modern techniques available to us.

Not yet. We are working on this feverishly. Due to the current global health situation. It is detrimental to us surviving as a business to be able to DJ remotely. The challenge lies in the venue's having good sound and having the tech to be able to stream that sound from the remote location to the venue where the event is going to unfold. Thats at the very least. There is also the lighting issue. That would fall on the shoulder's on said venues. This is happening all over. It's just the tables are turned. The clubs and festivals are starting to charge for streams of there events into your living room. In that case they are wre the event is happening already. So the sound and the lights are all there. they just need to stream it to households everywhere.

Well, we just basically shut down for a little over two years. We were freelancers before. We decided to start a business at the worst possible time on record I believe to start a business. Especially in entertainment. So now that we are up and running. We just wear masks if necessary. practice good hygiene. I can not ask any of my employees if they were vaccinated due to hippa laws that we respect. So if there is any sign that one of our DJs is sick or has fallen ill. There would be a replacement Dj to take their place. We don't truly have an office. More of storage where we keep our gear. So there is never any close contact with our employees. The customers can be fully taken care of electronically. As long as they're comfortable with that. We are and it is all the same as a physical meet-up to us.
