I really appreciate how hard they work to make sure each pup finds the ideal, forever home. Our vet was called, and we were asked if we would agree to a home visit after we adopted a dog. I can't say enough about PUP! Our new pup ran away the second day we had him! The people from PUP came to help with the search. Little Mattie( now BiScottie) was lost in the woods for 2 days. We were walking our dogs this afternoon when we ran into Jean M. our neighbor here in Oly. She showed us pictures of a cute puppy with huge ears, then a video swimming in a creek. This organization is amazing. We had such a great experience adopting our Ruckus (fka Tater). We had to wait longer than we want but it is about what is best for the dog. Yes, I'm a bit biased, but I'm also someone who works with and watches our group of amazing volunteers, vets, trainers, shelters, and others work together each and every day on behalf of the dogs and cats in our care. We adopted our sweet boy from PUP in Dec 2016 and couldn't be happier with him or the process of working with PUP. They really love all their animals and want to make sure the adoptees get matched with homes that will be a positive and long term experience. They disclosed all medical information (even the bad stuff or possible concerns), were timely in excellent and clear communication, and understanding and the personalities and individual needs of their dogs. Being able to meet the foster and ask all of our questions was a bonus, as well as the meet-up at a neutral location to assure compatibility with our current dog.

If it was possible to give them more stars I would. They are everything you want out of an adoption situation and treat their pets well!

We have fostered before but not with them, and got a really great impression that they are an organization to feel proud working with. More...

We adopted our new family member Dawson December 2 2017. We feel like we hit the jackpot. He is so very smart, trainable, loving, goodnatured. I can't express how impressed I am with PUP. They took the time to check with our vet about how our past pets were cared for, vetted us for compatibility, and made sure we were ready to care for him. Dawson is our first "child" together. I have been very impressed with how People United for Pets conducts business. I am super happy with my new furbaby Gracie (FKA Sadie). They seem to take time to place animals with a great home and invest time and energy in the animals prior to getting them adopted out. Gracie had already learned some simple commands and is pretty close to potty trained. She is sweet and seems well adjusted in lots of different situations. My goal is to get her certified as a therapy dog and she is well on her way to that goal! More...

I adopted a sweet 3 month old puppy on July 22nd at an adoption event. She has been such a blessing and has brought so much love to my family and friends. Her foster mom did an awesome job at training and loving her.
PUP Dog Rescue is amazing. As I learn more about the organization and their efforts to save dogs I feel even more committed to assist in their mission.

My husband and I are thrilled to welcome Una to our little family unit.
