The YMCA is very clean and organized. Some equipment is a little out dated but works well! The staff are always friendly and helpful. Someone is always seen cleaning or chatting with members! It’s a great facility. My only recommendation is that they turn the saunas on every morning so they get hot! Often I’ve had to turn them on and wait 20ish minutes for them to reach correct temp after a workout. More...

I would definitely recommend Fort Myers YMCA! It’s a most wonderful place to meet your fitness goals. Very friendly atmosphere and the staff couldn’t be better. We joined for our granddaughter so she could have lessons and swim. She's doing great in gymnastics she said group and private swim lessons and just thinking about the swim team. You can't beat the summer camp programs and also the cheerleading and sports a huge clean pool is a great feature. It's nice to shoot pool now and then and head for the elliptical or treadmill. There's just something to do all the time and the best part is so many things are indoors when it is so hot in the summer. Our family gives it 5 stars More...

So the rumor is circulating and has been confirmed that all group exercise classes are changing both times and instructors. The question is whether the organization will listen to the membership and understand that many of the members WORK for a living and have scheduled their work outs around their employment. Also, there are instructors who are first class such as Ali Hinshaw who is the best combat instructor on the planet, who have made an exercise family out of their class and have been motivational in changing people’s lives around. I hope that the voices of the membership will play a part in the deciding factor, so that we don’t have to find another gym that will accommodate our choice of instructor or class time. More...

I Like ymca I just don’t get why the skate park is open every day for the kids , it’s kinda annoying when your kids can’t go because they use the park more for classes than for kids having fun
