What a great local establishment! A co-worker recommended to us and we are so glad we took her advice. The service is excellent and the owners make you feel welcome right away. Very fun spot, and one of the only spots that had some great live music on Saturday in the area. Not local, so we Yelped our way to find this spot when we were looking for a place to have a drink with some live music. Spirits are limited to beer, wine and sparkling wine. I found a nice sparkling wine. It was Halloween weekend, so there was a costume contest in between the live music. Great band, great fun, and good crowd. More...

Follow them on Facebook for the best insight as to when the chef will be around. They do not always serve food but when they do it is pretty dang delicious. If there is live music and the chef isn't in, you can run to any of the local eateries and bring it back to enjoy. More...

What a delightful vibrant place. It's small, cozy, and inviting. It is a colorful artsy environment featuring local art, for purchase, on the walls. They have live music 4-5 nights a week. Tonight the Martini Hot Club Band was playing. The music gave me the feeling of being in Paris again. They were fabulous. Puffer's has been open for 7 years and is owned by Charlie puffer who is the friendly owner & Chef of this delightful place. They serve food, wine & beer. As soon as I came close to the doorway there were delicious odors wafting out of the the doorway & windows. Unfortunately I ate earlier so I wasn't hungry. I will be back to try the food. They have a small menu which changes monthly. I think this is my new favorite place in Pismo Beach. This a great little tavern. I highly recommend it. More...

My wife and I are locals. Never been to Puffer's. Decided to go last night. Wow, what a great experience! We were greeted by Charlie Puffer himself. Bellied up to the bar and Pamela got us started on selecting a wine. Bar was not yet packed, so we were just enjoying the vibe listening to the live band in the background. While we were enjoying a great cab, decided to order food from their limited menu (apparently changes regularly). To say the jerk shrimp was to die for is an understatement! Hungarian mac and cheese was on the menu too. Found out the Chef, Andy, is Hungarian and so is my wife. Of course, met Andy! Mac and cheese was excellent..wife says authentic! Sandy waited on us too. Did I mention the live band?! Well, definitely did not disappoint. Place had filled up to listen and enjoy this cozy little quaint wine bar! While hanging at the bar, met a few nice locals. Such a great and unexpected experience...we'll be back often! Thanks Charlie, Pamela, Sandy and Andy! More...
