Really good Indian place.  I had the tikka masala and in a good way, it was different then any other I've had before.  Completely in a good way, a little spicier and definitely tasted like masala but just hints of some different flavors.  This place is literally right off the mass pike which makes it a perfect place to get food if you're traveling.  I was a little leery because it doesn't look like it's a legit place and nobody was there when we stopped.  But all the reviews said this place was great and they were right.  Service was great.  We liked our food so much we ordered more meals and naan to go. This is probably the only and best Indian sit down restaurant in Springfield and Chicopee. Looks a little run down from the outside but quite nice and clean from the inside. Great value for money and on Wednesday nights especially when they have an unlimited buffet. The food was better than expected and the service is impeccable. Love love love their Indian food. A friend of mine is from India and he scoffed at my suggestion that we get Indian food, stating that he gets the best Indian food at home. He went to the restaurant himself and met the owner and chef to make sure he would even be willing to try it.  He loved it stating it is very authentic Indian food from the region where he is from.  Now he goes there whenever he is in town.  I like to go on Wednesday nights for the buffet so I can try a little of everything.  They have a huge variety to choose from and it changes every week.  Highly recommended. In visiting Chicopee I had already seen Priya was a must try based on reviews and was excited to see it was right next to my hotel. For my first dinner in town, I visited Priya. It's very nice inside and the staff is very friendly and inviting. After a recommendation from one of the staff, I tried Chicken Korma and am so happy I did! It's amazing, as was the garlic naan (AMAZING). A sweet treat made its way into my bag and I don't know what it was, but it was absolutely delicious!!  I am excited to get to visit Priya again. My knowledge of Indian food is pretty non-existent, so I'm not someone who can claim they have the best this or that, or vouch for the authenticity of their food. With that being said, if you're looking for a solid, affordable Indian buffet (with easy parking, a perk compared to some similar locations), you can't go wrong with here.For $12 after tax during a weekday lunch, you're given a pretty large selection of items to try. I've been twice and the variety isn't that great between visits, but I'm happy with it because the items they've had both times are really solid and I look forward to them being there the next time I go. If you're basic like me, expect them to have chicken tikka masala on the regular, which is probably the reason you're going. You're given one basket of naan, which is glistening and hot when it arrives, perfect for soaking up all the flavor of any of the entrees you're trying.Both times I've went, the food was warm and there weren't any empty containers that were neglected. It was pretty quiet at lunch as well, so you won't be waiting in a line. The staff are all very friendly and work like ninjas to take your plates or refill your water. Outside looks pretty shabby and small, but inside, it is very clean and large! It has a ton of seating and the interior was very classic(? ) looking. Service: the service was good! We were greeted quickly upon arrival and seated right away. We came in on a Saturday around 230pm and it bustling with people! The servers picked up our dirty plates quickly and always refilled our drinks. Food: great! Loved it!! There's a variety you can choose from. The food all looked very fresh and they were also all hot. There wasn't a time where something was missing as the staff quickly refilled the buffet as soon as it emptied. The only reason 1 Star was knocked off was bc the dessert selection, which was large, was messy. That was the only area where it seemed that they needed to keep cleaner? The coffee mousse is SO good, but it was almost all gone.. and no one refilled it so I ended up just leaving without getting seconds :( other than that, it was delicious and I crave for it time to time since I've visited!Overall, GREAT FOOD, fast service!! This place is sort of off the hook. I'm not going to say that they do everything perfectly. And the quality is OK on most things. But, a buffet, all you can eat, for the price, is amazing. The buffet is seriously packed with options. Many straight vegetarian. Some vegan. Lots of appetizers.For all that, the food is good. They do an amazing Chicken Tiki Masala. They have a wonderful Baingan Bhartha. The spicing is reasonable, not too hot, not too mild. There's some flavor there.The staff is very nice and accommodating. Tried the shrimp pepper fry as appetizer, which was really good,  however a bit too spicy with gravy to be eaten as an appetizer.  They give you a scoop of white rice with it though. The Lamb cochin with naan was good. Usual home made lamb curry style. The schezwan egg noodles was good too, had the indo-chinese touch one gets to see in india.Decent ambiance with plenty of space for large groups. My mom and I visited on a Friday night around 6:30 PM, and it was very quiet but not empty. We were seated right away and our server was very friendly and helpful. When asked for an Indian beer recommendation he shared his favorite immediately, and brought the bottle out with a glass without being asked. He also informed us that nan bread was separate, and recommended the rosemary and garlic nan. Everything was delicious, though my Chicken Tikka Masala was spicier than I am used to.My only complaint was that the food was SLOW. We waited over half an hour for our meals, which were ordered off the menu without any substitutions or flair. Amazing food!  I stop for Indian whenever i am out of town, so I've visited my share of good and bad.  This place has a great buffet, with plenty of veg options.  The food is much fresher than other places I've been, that feel more like slop served from a bucket.  The buffet was a tad spicy (a bit above US medium).  Decor was actually nice, especially for Indian.  Was a local spot for Indians too, which is always a good sign.  Waiters were nice but I had difficulty communicating to them.  Otherwise service was great. My daughter and I have eaten here at the buffet and off of the menu. The food is always delicious and fresh. Our wait-staff have always been friendly, knowledgeable of their menu and attentive without being obnoxious.  I try a different dish each time I go, I haven't been disappointed yet!  I wish I could recall three names of my dishes... We came here on a weekend evening hoping to do the buffet, but sadly the buffet isn't offered most evenings....we were craving Indian food so we stayed and did full entrees instead. The building itself is surrounded in the back by a hotel under construction, which can be a little off-putting but what can you do? We were quickly greeted and seated. Service the entire evening was spectacular. One of the managers in particular was very helpful and friendly. Food arrived quickly, and our water glasses never emptied. We ordered the three items above and garlic naan. I know its hard to mess up garlic naan, but man, I had to stop myself from ordering at least 10 servings of it here. SOOOOOO good. They had many other types of naan too that I look forward to returning to try. The entrees were also quite good. More on the oily side than the creamy side like I am used to, but they were very fresh. We asked for them to be made a little more spicy than normal, and the spice level was perfect. I see why this has such great reviews. A minute off of 90 and a nice lunch buffet. Having just come back from India I can attest the food is authentic. Unique items even on buffet you don't normally see in the US. The eggplant and other veggie dishes were a treat. What a terrific place! Used to be a dance club back in the day so no ambience but food and service was above and beyond expectations! Enjoyed ramala for an app along with a delicious selection of dips/spreads; naan bread with nuts and raisins-light and buttery, practically a dessert; and chicken korma and chicken tikka masala for entrees, both exquisite. This place was great! Don't let the construction behind it keep you away. As soon as you walk in, it's  a huge, Indian decorated dining hall. Very clean, very prompt service. Solid Indian food. I'm actually from NJ, and I've had authentic Indian food in Edison and Parsipanny, so I'm kind of snobby when it comes to good Indian food. I would definitely come back if I am visiting family in the area and I am craving Indian food. We ordered take out and the only downside was that there was a 20 minute wait to get our food from when we arrived. The upside is that the prices are actually cheap compared to most Indian restaurants in NJ, and the portions are comparable. In total, we ordered 1 order of paneer tikka masala, 1 order of chicken tikka masala, 2 orders of naan, and 1 order of veggie pakora. I'm a big fan of Indian food. Having been to many places in the Happy Valley, specifically several places in Northampton, Priya is able to hold its own!  Being a vegetarian, I wasn't sure what to expect. There were multiple dishes there that I was able to eat and enjoy to my fill! The dishes were all incredibly savory and delightful. Unfortunately I showed up when there was only about 25 minutes left on the buffet and even though the dishes had plenty of food in them, the wait staff seemed quite eager to get out of there immediately upon closing time. I don't blame them at all though. They still filled my water and let me know if I wanted dessert, I should have at it before they closed. Don't let the outside of Priya fool you, the food is delicious and well worth a visit! Nice atmosphere. Ordered garlic nan and a spicey fried chees app, very good, gotta like spicey. Entree ordered chicken masala and lamb chop special came with veggies and rice.   We were stuffed!  Very good, fresh flavors. Decent service. This just might be the best Indian restaurant I've eaten in. After 11 hours on the road, we checked in to the Days Inn next door and walked over here (it's worth staying at the Days Inn--perfectly acceptable btw--just to eat at this restaurant). The food is exceptional, the service quick, gracious and attentive. We had the chicken tikka masala and the lamb pasanda--both were wonderful. Everything is fresh, portions are generous. Probably one of the best places to get Indian food, esp. South Indian food (widely different from North Indian cuisine that is mostly in most places) that is extremely good and affordable. They have an extensive array of dishes, vegetarian and non-vegetarian included and have South and North dishes such as idlis, sambhar, chicken tikka masala and chicken tandoori which are almost always there. Went here when they initially opened about 2 years ago and have been going here even after moving away from the area and they only continue to improve. Their buffet rates initially were around 8-9$ on weekdays and 11-12$ on weekends although the prices have slightly increased now with popularity but the food's still good.Weekend price is higher because they usually have more dishes and also provide you with an order of masala Dosa which is not there on weekdays. They have also added masala tea during the weekends.Overall, this place is 'the place to go' if you're looking for good authentic Indian food in Western Mass and even in New England! More...
