Premier Fitness is such a convenient gym to be a member of! My husband got to workout while I was swimming with my daughter! I can't wait to bring the rest of my kids here to swim with me. My husband and I go back and forth between airline and this one, but we absolutely love the amenity of the pool at Lakeway. Also it's not as busy at all! You are able to move about the gym with your workout fairly quickly without having to wait for others to finish their sets. Definitely recommend! Definitely worth it for a family. More...

Just enjoyed my first spin session with Michelle Richards today. We have 1 hour to ourselves, to forget the external forces clouding our minds and indulge in me time for a change. The session starts with setting the bike to the rider taking in safety, posture and comfort. Once we have reviewed the different riding positions we begin with a gentle warm-up before hitting those hills. The session is a virtual outdoor ride taking in long gentle hills, descents, steeper hills, sprints and switch-backs. The class is choreographed to great music with words, the beat of the music carefully selected to match the cadence at the time. It is obvious from the start that Michelle enjoys life, her enthusiasm is contagious and motivational comments keep you going when otherwise you would have quit. By mixing power rides for body shapping and cardio tracks for fitness and endurance, everybody benefits from the experience Michelle has at getting the best results from the session. We finish with a post ride cool down and stretch to prepare ourselves for the day ahead. A fantastic session with a safety conscious, knowledgeable and very experienced spin instructor. Outdoor track on the 9th floor, overlooking the causeway to the north, and superdome to the south. Â Basketball and tennis courts also outside. Â Saltwater pool , sauna, and it is never busy. Â Plenty of free weights and machines. Â Huge cardio area, and a big studio room for stretching and classes. If you have blue cross insurance youll only pay about 27 a month. I did the free 3 day trial and loved it, now I'm officially a member. The basketball court and boxing ring and equipment was the selling point for me. I did amateur boxing and play in a basketball league. So i can can do the 2 things I really love to do on top of other exercises. For me it's the perfect gym!!! More...

Clean and rarely crowded, this gym is a hidden gem! The staff makes you feel appreciated as a customer. It is consistently organized and has everything I need and more for a good workout. Biggest draw back is parking... that garage is the bane of my existence, but at least it is free (they validate your ticket). The location is right on Lake Pontchartrain, so on nice days I often walk on path by the lake as my warm up. I recently moved to a further location and drive 15 minutes to come here rather than 10 minutes to the airline drive location, because I like this gym better. More...

Excellent gym and facility. Parking is easy and everyone is friendly. We travel to Metairie from out of state a lot and I found this little gem. I was so happy to find they offered weekly passes for a reasonable rate. Lots of cardio equipment and ceiling fans to kept the facility cool for your workout. My husband enjoyed the outdoor running track. We will definitely be back on our next trip!!!! More...
