We have taken our dogs to Preston for years. Our last dog, Blue, spent a lot of time there and loved going for these visits The staff was great to him and demonstrated that they knew and liked him. We came to PDT when two of our dogs started fighting and enrolled one dog in the three week boot camp and brought the other dog in supplementary so they could work together. The work done with the dogs has been incredible, and we are so impressed by the thoughtfulness and professionalism of the staff. The investment for this training was not cheap, but given the incredible change in our dogs and in our overall household dynamic I can say without hesitation that it was well worth every penny. I cannot say enough good things. If you have a dog- you should work with these trainers. Unbelievable work, and amazing people!!! More...

We brought two of our pups to premier for boot camp (one two year old female, the other 5ish). They randomly developed severe aggression towards each other despite being best friends previously. After the boot camp we worked with the dogs and they are back to being best friends. I was cautiously optimistic but premier gives you the tools you need to really get the best out of your furry friends. The money was well worth not having to rehome one of our dogs. I can not recommend them enough. Wonderful experience with the staff and training!! More...

Have been taking my 17 year old dog here since she was a puppy, and this is the only place where I feel better knowing she’s safe and well cared for. And she’s not as frightened being dropped of here then at petsmart or petco( the vet doesn’t board anything)The staff is friendly and remembers her by name when we walk in, and takes a few moments to socialize with her before we leave so she’s not as frightened. I know she gets plenty of time outside as well which makes me super happy. She also receives the best bath where she doesn’t smell like wet dog after she’s dried, and they do a great job on the cut. 7My dogs have stayed here during my vacations for over 6 years. They love it and we love the staff. Never have issues when booking. I originally switched from a different place because Preston separates the dogs during play. They don't allow them to play with other dogs. The outside play is separated by chain link fence. So no worries that my dogs could be bitten/bite another dog. The rates have increased slightly, but that doesn't matter as much as having peace of mind your fur kids are safe and in good hands. We selected Premier Dog Training for our 1 year old doberman. She went in as a wild, unmannered puppy and came out from the 3 week boot camp a transformed dog. She is calmer, obedient and we have the tools to be good dog owners. I can't say enough good things about the crew of trainers at PDT. They are thorough, care about the dogs, excellent response and feedback and did a phenomenal job training our dobie and us. The facility is nice, clean and we were very pleased with the service. Since we have been home, the daily training and practice is manageable and she has become such a good listener. Our dobie would also nip men and that behavior has stopped as well. Premier Dog Training is absolutely incredible! They went above and beyond for my dog and my family. I would recommend Premier to anyone. For starters, our dog Remi was a pit rescue and although very sweet and lovable, she had some serious behavior issues. Taking Remi for a walk was very stressful, because she made a scene every time we passed another dog. She failed miserably when introduced to other dogs, and taking her to our local dog park was completely out of the question. As far as listening to my wife and I, she was very stubborn and more often than not, failed to follow our direction. Since her training with Premier, Remi has done a 180! She is great on walks and is very obedient to both my wife and I. And Remi finally has some dog friends! We can even take her to the dog park. It's hard to believe she's the same dog. On another note, Premier went above and beyond for us during a family tragedy. While Remi was in their care, my father suddenly passed away. My father's sudden passing involved a lot of travel that occupied my wife and I well past the point in which Remi was scheduled to be picked up. When I notified Premier of the situation, they did not hesitate to offer to keep Remi as long as I needed, and they refused to take any extra payment from me for the additional days. In sum, this organization has extremely good care, competency, and attention to detail. From our dog's training to caring for my family on a human level - my wife and I were absolutely blown away! We rescued our Ellie at the end of January and we immediately realized she had anxiety problems and could not be left alone in the house (even in a crate). I called Premier Dog Training desperately and spoke to a very patience lady who gave me advice on what we could try before taking other types of actions. We eventually agreed to send Ellie to Doggie Day Care where she would be watched and could interact with other dogs. It was one of the best decisions we made as it meant she was in a safe environment surrounded by people who love dogs and tons of dogs! Ellie has her favorite handlers while at doggie day care, and I can see the care and love they have for any dog that gets dropped off there. Ellie became less anxious to be home alone as the weeks/months went on, but she was still a loosey-goosey, silly, not-focused dog. You would give her a command and she was do it if she liked or not at all. Off-leash was not an option as she would run in the opposite direction of us. A few months later, we decided to send her to 3 weeks boot camp. Another one of the best decisions we’ve made. When we dropped her off, we spoke with one of the trainers who completed an intake form so they can understand what areas they need to focus on with our dog. When we picked her up on her last day, she was a different dog. She was dialed in and focused. She can do the commands on first ‘order’. If she didn’t, we would re-inforce the techniques that we were taught to correct her. She is very good with the basic commands of sit and lay-down. She is still working very hard on stay and wait. We have worked with her in a public setting of stay while dropping her leash beside her and she does well until you walk ‘too far’ in her opinion, then she walks towards you. She is much better on walks now and does not zig-zag. She knows she has her range and will slow down if she walks too far ahead. After her training, we were given a prong collar, e-collar, and a new longer/stronger leash. We were given a lesson before we went home with Ellie on how to use our new tools. We work on her commands every night to re-inforce what she has learned and it has and will continue to pay off. We would definitely recommend Premier Dog Training for your dog day care or training needs! They are kind, knowledgeable and can deliver results! More...

We brought our 5.5-month Bernese Mountain Dog, Ralph, to Premier for their 3 week boot camp. Our main issue with Ralph was that he was basically scared of everything. We were getting to the point where we essentially couldn't bring him anywhere near a crowded place because he would get so skiddish. He wouldn't greet new people or let them touch him. He was never aggressive, just very fearful. He also was very nervous about things like doors, which made it basically impossible to get him in any new building besides our apartment. He was essentially in a frequent panic with anything new or even mildly alarming, and we felt awful for him. Premier was amazing from the start. They laid out the various programs that were available with a lot of clarity. Jes and Rick were very receptive to understanding that while we hoped for obedience, it was not our main concern. We visited Premier with Ralph before committing to the boot camp, and Rick spent nearly an hour with us getting a sense of our concerns, then did some one-on-one assessment with Ralph to get a clear picture of whether it seemed like something they could help with. He did a great job explaining the ways they would customize their approach to Ralph's problems to help him gain confidence. I'm happy to say that after 3 weeks, Ralph is much much improved. The moment we got out of the car at home, he immediately greeted one of our neighbors who he had previously run away from consistently. Overall, he's doing great and while it still makes him a bit nervous, he generally does a much better job with doors, new settings, more crowded environments, and new people. On top of that, his obedience is really strong. In terms of the service, the whole Premier team was very responsive leading up to boot camp. Once he was there, they posted an instagram of Ralph every couple days (which we loved) and were in touch with us about how he was doing and how they were approaching his training. At one point Ralph had a runny nose while at Boot Camp, and they had a vet to see him that day (just ended up being some allergies). We just had our first follow-up session at home and Ralph's trainer Keith was really helpful in clearing up some confusion we had on his ongoing training. I'd recommend Premier to anyone who feels a bit out of their league in trying to help their dog along. Whether it's obedience or a bigger behavior issue, they seem very willing to work to know your dog's unique challenges and do their best to help out. Good luck! More...

I cannot say enough good things about Premier!! I'll often get compliments on my dog's behavior, but it wasn't always that way. When Capone was a (60lb) puppy he was counter surfing, jumping on couches and pretending not to hear me at the dog park. We had taken puppy classes elsewhere but they didn't seem to stick with him so I decided to give Premier a call. After consulting with Jes and the team I signed Capone up for boot camp - and I can honestly say it is the best money I have ever spent on him. The time and care Jes, Rick and the rest of the staff take with your (furry) family members is unbelievable! After two weeks Capone was still my goofy loveable pup, but he listened and knew I was in charge. To this day, my now 2 year old pup has not put a single paw on a counter or couch! And he's about the only dog who listens at the dog park - which is so helpful when a few others are getting rowdy. Our experience with Premier was so positive that we choose to board Capone here whenever we are out of town. He even goes for daycare when he needs a little extra exercise! Jes and the team would do anything for your dog. Just last week they were out at my house helping us with door manners. Premier has my complete trust when it comes to training and caring for Capone. I highly recommend you check them out, even if it's just for daycare! More...

This place is WONDERFUL! We recently had our two 9 month old labs stay at Premier Dog Training for two weeks while we were on vacation. They did the training bootcamp while they were there. We are complete dog lovers, and are not used to leaving our dogs anywhere. We have always had someone stay at our house to watch our dogs. But the puppies needed training so after receiving a recommendation for Premier from a good friend, we signed them up. From the moment we walked in the door at Premier, the staff was friendly, welcoming and OBVIOUSLY DOG LOVERS! They were well-organized from beginning to end. While we were nervous taking our dogs to Premier, when we left them that day, we felt confident they were in excellent hands! As promised, they kept us up to date on the dogs through pictures on instagram which our family loved to see. The day we picked them up, we were so excited to see them and they looked clean, happy and healthy. Again, everyone was friendly and professional. They showed us what the dogs had learned while in bootcamp, and we were so impressed! They took time with all three of our young children to make sure they understood how to work with the dogs and issue the new commands. The entire staff was wonderful, knowledgable, and most importantly, obviously dog-loving people. The dogs are home now, and they are doing great. They know their commands and we continue to work with them.
