Where do I begin? For starters, we can all agree that moving is very hard, overwhelming, and frustrating at times. The last thing that you want is to hire a moving company that does not communicate well and has many hidden charges. This is how I feel about Precision Moving & Storage. I feel, after hiring them to move this past weekend, that I was exploited and illuded. I first reached out to Tanya at the main office and let her know that I was looking for a quote to move me from my 1080 sq ft townhome to my new home 24 miles away. She was very pleasant and communicated well, at first. I specifically told her that I had a very tight budget and that I would like to stay within that budget. She assured me that the cost for the move would not go over my budget and their workers are fast and efficient. With that being said, I set up an appointment for Precision Moving & Storage to pack and move me in a matter of 2 days. After I did most of the packing already, I decided to cancel one of the days that I had scheduled and kept the appointment for the move. The day of the move, the movers arrived on time which was a good sign that maybe it was going to be a smooth day. I was wrong. By the time all was said and done, I was hit with $750 in supplies (boxes, tape, cellophane wrap, bubble wrap, and paper), $450 for a 4th worker that was not included in the arrangements but was told the morning of that they brought in a 4th guy to make the work much easier, $1859 for 11 hours when they had only worked 8 hours, and an additional $300 for the drive time, to which they claim is doubled under the PUC regulations. In addition, they tried to charge me $189/hour when I agreed to $169/hour if I paid cash. Had I been told up front that I would incur these insane charges, I would have definitely not hired this company. I am completely baffled that this company has a 5 star rating. My recommendation is very obvious... do not use this company for your moving needs. More...

As I mentioned in my past review, I had Precision Moving & Storage help me pack, move, and put stuff in storage. I now had to take my stuff out and have it moved. I had the pleasure of working with David F and Reynaldo S for moving my stuff out of storage - both identifying things I needed to take and then moving my stuff to NorCal. They were incredibly professional, quick, efficient, and friendly. I had a complex situation where I had to actually look through my stuff to figure out what I needed to take (I am in a situation where I cannot actually take everything). They helped me sort through my stuff really well and also moved everything I needed well too - everything arrived in great condition in NorCal the next day!David and Reynaldo did their jobs incredibly well and I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for great movers and/or a great storage solution to use Precision Moving & Storage! I know I'm late with posting this, but Precision is THEE BEST moving company. They moved us from CA to AZ in 2017, and back from AZ to CA in 2020-2021. I am extremely disappointed DONOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR STUFF, I have used moving companies before, I was told a rate the rate changed as the movers started the movers worked extremely slow to add up more time that caused me to pay extra, Tania is not professional or honest, this has been a nightmare for me and I was extremely thorough and explained everything I need moved and made sure to ask questions and I WAS STILL OVER CHARGED DUE TO THE LACK OF THE MOVERS WORKING. Moving is always hard, but working with Angel F. And Carlos made it one of the easiest moves yet!! They both took great care in moving my belongings from LA to SF - everything from packing / unloading and furniture set up was handled extremely well. Great team work by Precision.Mark Martinez the team leader was great and helped with all....His team of 5 people worked hard and they protected all my furniture which was shipped overseas. .....They protected literally each piece of furniture and boxes.I got 80 moving blankets 80x72 so all my furniture that was dissembled was protected. They were considerate, professional and communicative throughout the moving process in addition to bringing a high level of skill and expertise to the packing and protection of my belongings. They got the job done quickly and thoroughly without rushing. There was zero damage to my belongings and I was extremely impressed with their teamwork and care while wrapping, handling and moving each item. My husband decided to try this company because it has perfect reviews and I had high hopes because we had no problem with the previous movers that we used. They were very prompt in responding at the start of the transaction. They are more expensive than our previous one too but we decided to give it a go. The window that was given for their arrival was 8am-10am, they arrived pass 10am because it was "traffic", brushed it off and they started to scan which ones to bring. The first item they were trying to load, they broke it. It was a glass top side table and they lifted it like it was plastic, glass shattered on the floor beside our car in the garage. I couldn't get mad because I can't do anything about it anymore... I would think they will be more careful on the next items but nope. They were carrying our mattress and they swept our shoe containers on the side, like flying so you know they weren't slow on that turn. My husband is a sneaker head and he takes care of his shoes well and bought those at the container store. They broke at least 5 of those and they cost $12 each! I told the movers to tell their manager that they did not just broke my side table but also our shoe containers. At the end of the day of course they did not, I had to tell their manager because they were completely disregarding the fact that they broke it, maybe because it's made from "plastic" but that's not even the point. They were offering to have a repair man come and i'm like "it's not repairable! You can replace it" i told them where we bought it but it's like they didn't hear it, And all they can say is i will let my supervisor know. They took the side table to have the glass replaced while my shoe containers unknown. After a week passed I did not hear anything, I followed up and they still don't know what to do. Honestly I would have been happier with an outright discount from them that day, With all the hassle that they made, they still charged me for items that they used to move like plastic wraps and tape. In my head "are you freaking serious?!" No shame with all that, still charging me full. While they're being stingy, they offer me $25 for the shoe containers, I am furious at this point, like really. I replied to that email and reminded them again that each container costs $12 they're giving me $25? I got no response and no $25 as well. If they can have a negative star I would. I wanted to finish our whole transactions before I made this review in the hopes that they will come into their senses but they do just want to leave with bad blood I guess. More...

Avoid at all costs!!! They overcharge you and don't explain how they calculate the cost until you ask multiple times and then you see all the hidden and made up costs. Also do not save your credit card info as again they charge you even after you moved out your stuff out of their storage. They also damaged our furniture in the process. These guys just moved 15 large and heavy items from my apartment on the 2nd floor with no elevator and helped me rearrange whole my storage unit to make everything fit beautifully! We had a move from a 2 bed/ 2 bath apartment to a house with a lot of large, heavy furniture and appliances (including a grandfather clock) that could have been damaged, dinged, or banged up against walls or doorframes. However, Precision took time to efficiently wrap everything in blankets and packing wrap so nothing was damaged while moving, loading or transporting. It was very effective! This was our second time using Precision Moving to move from our house in Van Nuys to Porter Ranch. We had 4 bedrooms worth of furniture, boxes, clothes and appliances to move and they did it FLAWLESSLY. Nothing was broken, everything was in exceptional care throughout, and the guys were nice and funny as well. Osmin's group (Rodolfo, Dario, Francisco) handled our move. Such a great company to work with. Precision did a local move for us, came to move us out, stored in their facility in Northridge for a few months and then came to move us in. From working with Tanya via email who answered all questions quickly to the guys doing the work - Jose, Emerado &amp; Oscar, just efficient, nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Update: they claim here they don't have records of our move to deny bad business. We called as requested and were told we'd receive a claims form via email. No one has sent us anything. Original review:We hired Precision for packing and the service wasabsolutely not professional packing. Glass lamps packedwith metal parts banging the glass, glasses and dishes putin boxes but not wrapped resulting in tons of brokendishes. Items thrown in boxes with no wrapping. None ofour boxes were labeled with contents so we were left withstacks of mystery boxes after the move. The crew atelunch out on the street in our neighborhood and left trashall over.
