Kimberly and her team at Prairie Petals handled the flowers and decor at my wedding in May 2018 and they did and OUTSTANDING job. From the first time I met with Kimberly, I knew I wanted her to be a part of our wedding day. I never had a specific vision for my wedding, I just had a few words in my head that I used to describe it. Kimberly took those words and ran with them. She is so incredibly talented and creative - I had absolutely no doubt she would pull everything together from just thr few words I gave her. Not only did she give ideas about the flowers and decor, she gave me ideas for pretty much everything wedding related! I was extremely appreciative that she didn’t try to push me into anything that I couldn’t afford or wasn’t my style. Kimberly was very honest and transparent throughout the whole process. On the day of our wedding, she and her team went above and beyond. They set up and tore down for us and Kimberly periodically checked in with me to see if I needed anything and even coordinated with the people at the event space when she knew I was busy and I am truly thankful for that. I ordered flowers for a friend’s first day of work and the arrangement turned out so great! I wanted something bright and fun and that is exactly what I got. I loved that I was able to pick the price I wanted for the arrangement and for the cost the arrangement was everything I was expecting!!When it didn’t work for Kim to send me a photo of it she called me and explained. | Wedding flowers for an Elopement |I called Kimberly a week out of our 10/20/17 elopement to see if she would be able to do a bouquet and boutonniere. I am from the Twin Cities, so we were unable to connect in person to discuss what I wanted. Kimberly knew all the questions to ask about us as a couple and our plans for the day to get a sense of the appropriate style. I sent her a photo of my dress, and she came up with the most perfect and fitting pair of arrangements. Since we were doing a courthouse wedding, she suggested something more casual - a hand-tied presentation bouquet that I could handle easily. They were reasonably priced and hand-delivered to our hotel (HoDo) the morning of our wedding to make sure we loved them (since we didn't have a chance to meet in person).Side note: I also had Kim do an arrangement for my MIL when she was hospitalized in spring of 2017. The arrangement was really artfully done and reasonably priced, with free delivery to Sanford downtown. We had Kim do our decorations and flowers for our wedding and she was amazing. I originally was going to do all of the decorating and flowers myself because I feared it was going to be super expensive. I decided to meet with Kim as I had gotten some recommendations to meet with her. After meeting with her and hearing all her ideas and plans for decorating we decided to book her. She was very reasonably priced and willing to work within a budget. She did a fantastic job on our flowers especially my bridal bouquet! She did amazing outdoor decorations for our ceremony that were able to be used for the reception as well. She was very organized and timely. She was so unique and full of great ideas that we never would have thought of! She takes the time to get to know you and your soon to be husband and creates a whole story from there. I have a family of farmers and hunters and she used deer sheds in the decorations and they were amazing!! She used some of the decorations I had already bought for the wedding and incorporated them into her decorations. She was truly amazing and I would recommend her to anybody looking for some beautiful unique flowers and decorations for their special day! More...

We had Kim and her team do the flowers/design for our wedding in the summer of 2016. One thing I think you quickly learn about Kim is that she is an artist. From the minute you sit down with her she wants to try and understand you, your spouse, the feel of the wedding you’re trying to create, the setting, and what you’re looking for. Instead of just taking pictures you find off the internet and recreating them, she gives the essence you are going for an original and individualized spin. We got married at the Barn at Five Lakes Resort in Frazee, MN and contracted her team to bring everything out there from Fargo, get it set up, and make things beautiful. She was prompt, efficient, and delivered beyond even what I could have imagined. Kimberly is a true artist! My husband and I had her create my bridal bouquet, a memorial arrangement for the church, and his boutonniere for our wedding day. Not only were her creations gorgeous, but they were also unique, personal, and captured our passions. Our first meeting with Kimberly was over 2 hours, and in that time, she made a strong impression on us because of her recommendations. It is easy to see that she has a passion for what she does, and she isn't going to push ideas on clients just to make her money. She gave us lovely ideas and suggestions that had nothing to do with her work. We used several of them, and they helped us make our day original and deeply personal. Prairie Petals took care of the flowers for my daughter’s wedding. I must admit, I went into it feeling flowers really weren’t that important and even said “no one really notices them”. I was wrong! I watched Kim spend countless hours with my daughter. She took the time to understand Ashley and understand the overall “feel” that was important to Ashley. After giving Kim a feel for what we liked and didn’t like, Kim masterfully designed the perfect arrangements.
Kim stayed within our budget and was honest. She helped with the table arrangements beyond just the flowers. She even personally delivered some of the arrangements to my home the next day and helped me arrange them for brunch.
My daughter’s wedding was beautiful and she was a beautiful bride. Next to her, the flowers received the most compliments. A year later, we are still getting compliments on the flowers. Kim will be taking care of the wedding for our son next July.

This hidden gem on Broadway is the perfect place for all your floral needs. I recently attended a formal event for which I needed a corsage and a boutonnière and my significant other forgot to order them. I stopped in on Valentine's Day just hours before the even and asked if they could accommodate me. I was expecting a no, but was asked for a picture of my dress and jewelry. I was shocked they took my order and had it ready in about an hour. The final products were amazing and fit my dress and the personalities of my partner and I to a tee! I have never meet the florists or been to the store, but have been receiving flowers from them for at least 3 yrs now. They are my favorite! Kimberly at Prairie Petals went out of her way to make our wedding day perfect! I am a local photographer and photograph 20+ weddings a year. I can always tell when Kimberly has done the flowers because they are flawless and so beautiful! When I got married on August 30, 2014 she drove the hour drive to our ceremony and reception site to set up a twig arch and some hanging twig fixtures at our reception. She took the time to make sure it was perfect. Leading up to our wedding day she met with me and let me talk her ear off about everything I ever dreamed of for my wedding and then also offered advice and ideas which I loved! The day of the wedding...the flowers arrived...I was in tears. They were EXACTLY how I imagined/wanted them to be! I really cried when I saw my bouquet. She took the time to paint some succulents and other little plants/flowers in it GOLD. Gold was my accent color for the wedding. It was honestly just SO beyond what I expected.
