I contacted PMR on short notice...literally the day before to assist a friend en route via Penske truck, moving to Vancouver from Utah. Not only were they able to supply the labor at the requested time, the 2 guys that were sent were on time and thoroughly prepared with all the right rigging to effectively and professional get the job done.Both had smiles on their faces and complied with every request while executing the move-in with care and consideration for the valuables being unloaded. This was in sharp contrast to the "helpers" sent to assist in the loading of the Penske in Utah. These guys are great. Friendly, experienced crews, very attentive to what needs to get done and they make it happen. On my move, 2 guys with a truck & gear showed up on time, clean, professional and ready to work, I lined out what we needed on a quick walkthrough and they got started. I liked that I did not have to repeat anything after that initial walkthrough, Martin and the other guy (cannot remember his name, sorry), anyway they were both awesome, they made great time, put everything right where my wife or I instructed and took great care not to damage or break anything, I would definitely hire again and recommend them and any other PMR crew to anyone getting ready to move. All the core guys have been here for years, always a good sign esp in this industry. I was a professional mover for 8+ yrs before my glorious retirement, so I know pros when I see em. There are a lot of fly-by-night movers out there, but Jeff and his guys at Portland Movers Ready are the real deal. I recently moved from Hillsboro, OR. Jeff and his co-worker packed all my belongings from my 750 sq ft apartment, down one flight of stairs and into 2 U-Pack cubes in an hour and 45 minutes. After deciding to cancel my move with All My Son's due to massive failure on their part, I had to find a mover for a same-day move. Portland Movers was my first call and they were not only able to fit me in (the guys, after a long day of scheduled moves, arrived after-hours to get the job done), but they also did it for less! Martin and Sergio showed up ready to go and you'd never tell they'd been working since early morning. They were professional, nice guys, and worked quickly to get us moved! They were very helpful with our move, and especially accommodating due to some complications with the move in date. We had issues taking possession, and the date was in flux until a few days before the move. They worked with us, and were able to reschedule for a later date, on the morning we took posession.The unload was fast and as smooth as could be expected. We had just arrived into town and realized we couldn’t get our appliances in the house and down into the basement. We called them last minute and they were able to send two movers almost immediately. They were incredibly efficient, hard-working and very kind. They had all of the appliances and the rest of the moving truck into the house and placed where we wanted in just over an hour.
