I was a little ambivalent about my massage here, but the results were pretty good.  My appointment was late, but as I was the last Appointment for the day, I understand small delays early in the day can really add up. The good thing is there have very advanced massage chairs that are pretty comfortable. As a warning the massage chairs have a really aggressive foot massager and the rollers for the soles of my feet were actually kind of painful!During the massage, the massage therapist did let me know that she specializes in shiatsu mixed with lomilomi and Swedish and if that was okay. I thought that was fine because it would be a mix, but actually the massage was primarily shiatsu! It wasn't super relaxing like an exclusively lomilomi or Swedish massage and so when I left I felt slightly disappointed. However the primary reason I went to the massage therapist was because a very stiff shoulders and after Getting home and getting some rest I woke up with relaxed shoulders! My shoulders felt shot for several days so in reality I guess that shiatsu really works. As a note, the shiatsu pressure can actually really hurt during the session but I actually like really firm massages so it didn't bother me much. If you're sensitive I don't know if this would be for you.In the end, it was a great massage for my painful shoulder muscles, but not a super relaxing one. Pretty sure if you let her know that you just want a Lomilomi or Swedish massage though she can accommodate you. More...

Excellent massage by Aki! I was in desperate need of a massage and they were able to get me in on a moments notice. I had to wait 15 minutes but enjoyed the nice massage chair out front. Massage was perfect pressure and took care of all my sore spots. Recommend 100 percent More...

This is a small massage place located at Ala Moana Center. I received a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage. The most frustrating thing about this place is knowing where it is located in Ala Moana. It is located in a part of the mall that I don't frequent. I tried calling several times right before my appointment to ask where they were located but no one picked up the phone. When I read other yelp reviews it said it was located next to the lady footlocker. Well, there is no lady footlocker as that store has closed. Others said it was located next to the abc store, but there was no abc store by this location. I literally think I walked the whole mall finding this place! I finally went to the foot locker store to ask where their lady footlocker used to be located. They told me first floor by the food court. Still not very clear, I walked to the first floor and made a left after the food court and finally found it! It's located as if you were walking toward Macys on the first floor next to Goma tei and pass game stop. When I finally arrived the woman at the front was calling me back. I said I couldn't find it, she said ok and asked me to sit down. They have little heated massagers attached to their chairs. They also have two other massage chairs you can use as you wait. I was brought inside a small space. There are no rooms, you are literally separated by curtains. This is a day spa, so you change out of your clothes, place them in a basket and then lay under the sheets, no lockers, or robes. My masseuse was a nice lady. I told her I had pain and tension in my shoulders. She did a good job of working them. I really enjoyed the actual massage. My only complaint would be to lessen the time she spend rubbing and stretching me over the sheets before she started the actual massage. She used some Lomi lomi massage techniques mixed with some stretching. I really enjoyed it. They play nice spa music but it is a little loud, I think to try and mask the loud tv I heard. You can hear people coming in and checking in the front. Especially where I was located, I was right behind the front desk. You can basically hear everything. For an hour massage that was good, and only $68 I would go back. They also offer local discount and have a stamp card. If you are looking for pure relaxation, this is not the place for you! If you are looking for an inexpensive decent massage then yes. More...

Needed a quick massage NOW. and they easily accomodated me within half an hour. So grateful. They have massage chairs while you wait. & not just any massage chairs. AMAZING ones. Sit in, it reclines you and massages everything very well, even the bottoms of your feet and your calves. So convenient located to the right of the outside of the food court. More...

I found this place while Googling massages near Ala Moana & decided to try it out since it's conveniently at the mall (entrance off the parking lot).  I walked in without an appointment yesterday morning, and they were able to accommodate me.  I did have to wait 25 minutes, but was able to spend the time in their luxurious full-body massage chairs - alone almost worth it!  The prices are very reasonable - $65/60min, $90/90 min + tax + tip.  This must be 50% of what other Honolulu massage therapists charge.  And this place has legitimately licensed therapists - their licenses are all posted.  One note is that this is just one retail storefront, so while there are 4-6 tables, the tables are separated by hanging curtains.  So it's not spacious and you may be able to hear other patrons, but everyone keeps voices to a minimum and there isn't a lot of talking anyway.  I had a 60 min massage by Katsuya, a male, and it was a really good one ( and I regularly go to registered massage therapists).  I asked for attention for my neck/shoulders and feet and he helped address those problem areas.  The amount of pressure was just right.  If I had the opportunity I would come back again! This was the best massage I've ever had, and my hubby agrees! They were able to book us an appointment within the next hour, so we were able to walk around the mall with time to spare. Since we were 15 min early for our appointment, they let us try their massage chairs for free! Hubby had a male therapist, and I had a female therapist named Aki. Honestly, I felt like Aki was a chiropractor-physical therapist-masseuse who knew how to work some magic (hubby felt the same about his masseuse). The massage "rooms" are basically just divided by curtains, but still relaxing nonetheless. Massage starts off with a dry deep tissue massage, then goes into a lomi lomi massage with oil. Next thing you know, your masseuse is on top of your bed stretching you, and giving you a deeper tissue massage. The massage ended with a hot towel massage, and advise from the masseuse regarding tips to help with posture and avoiding knots, and a nice glass of water. They even have Kamaaina discounts and stamp cards, so we're definitely coming back! A great massage at a reasonable price !!! Getting a reasonable rate in Hawai'i is ridiculous so I normally splurge on massages only when I'm in the mainland on vacation. But popoki massage caught my boyfriends eye and for the price , I figured -why not First of all they're located in Ala Moana which is already a plus to me. When you enter they have two full massage chairs to test out while you wait. It kind of made me want to buy one of their chairs lol. Definitely try it out if you arrive early for your appointment. Speaking of which , it is highly recommended to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. We tried doing a walk in and were asked if we could come back in 2 hours ; as was the case with all other customers who tried to do a walk in as I was getting my massage. We scheduled an appointment for the day after and when the time came, they asked if we could wait 30 more minutes. Which was okay to me since I got the chance to test out their chairs for a few minutes. In the middle of my massage , I felt pretty bad for a guy who walked in with an appointment and was asked if he could reschedule....  that is why I had to knock off a star.  They do have some scheduling kinks to work out. The shop itself is nothing fancy ; you won't get a private room, and you will definitely hear conversations at times from other customers who pop in.  However , I'm totally fine with cloth curtain separations -and I felt they did their best to keep their voices to a minimum and avoid personal conversations with other coworkers. Most of the cheaper massages that I've been to completely ignore that you're here to relax and will make all the noise and conversations they want. And I've been to other places where they leave you multiple times to answer the phone, multi task etc. But that is not the case here. Your masseuse is your masseuse and not trying to do other things on your time.  I felt the quality of the massage was great ! She asked me what my biggest issue areas were , if I was comfortable with the room temperature , how her pressure was etc. She found the crunchy parts in my back and massaged them out pretty well. I would not hesitate to get her again. Paying-- don't forget your Hawai'i state ID If you want kamaaina pricing. And you have to know how much you want to tip before they slide your card. (They punch in the full charge amount into the machine ). And Ask for a stamp card ! :) More...

Absolutely excellent. Professional, clean, caring, easy to understand. I had a 30 min massage and it was exactly what I needed. She asked me about sore spots, injuries etc. I was well draped and I had no issues with the curtains separating other rooms. In fact I couldn’t hear or see who was beside me.
