Came here for dinner tonight with my mom, sister, and infant daughter. Food was fresh and delicious with HUGE portions. Had barriers set up for Covid and everyone kept masks on the whole time. The staff was beyond nice and super accommodating. They gave us a larger table and plenty of room for my daughters high chair without us even asking. Amazing valueWent with a group of (3) persons to this very authentic fish restaurant which features fresh catch  fish, various choices for lubber delights,   but has an abundance of many, many great choices. It's an especially nice feature that this restaurant offering specialty cocktails for pre dinner,  during dinner and after dinner drinks. Thomas was an exceptional-serviceperson and our experience  was outstanding. The kitchen is marvelous (and fast too!). Flavors (especially spices) are in evidenced on all.I especially enjoyed the crispy, hot garlic bread. One of my moms favorite spots. Just for a quick cheap seafood meal. Popei's has been the place for that for the past 25 years of my life. A staple place to order from growing up. I enjoy the food. Is it it anything crazy? No not at all. But it's not bad for what you pay for. I would not recommend eating there as I feel the restaurant has looked the same since the first time I went there decades ago. We have been here 3times in the past six weeks because we love it!  The first time we came was 6 weeks ago and we were don pressed that we just keep coming back. I love the fact that they take reservations so there's no guess work during this time of COVID. They have partitions, everything is socially distanced and the staff is amazing. Exceptional service, delicious food, and amazing drinks!! The staff was sooo friendly and accommodating especially Dawn at the front! !They even sat us near a TV and put on the NBA game just for us. When I say those baked clams, Thai calamari, and buffalo shrimp were out of this world good, I am not lying!! All the portions were family sized so we had plenty of leftovers.
